Your POV:

I place file number one in Liam’s outstretched hand. He takes it and gives it a once over, his brow goes up in curiosity, “Why this one? I thought you would go with the vampire one or something flashier.”

“Well apparently you don’t know me well enough.” I smirked at him, just because we have grown up together doesn’t mean anything.

“Apparently.” He whispers out, folding the file up, “I’m going with you, so let’s get ready.”

“With me? What? This is supposed to be my first assignment!” This wasn’t happening!

“Exactly, first assignment. You were the only one in the graduating class to get higher lever assignments, so be grateful for that. But because it is your first one, anything can happen, and you need someone to observe and help when it is needed.”

I glared at him, as he kept rambling on, “You just want to be there and see me fail don’t you, you don’t want me to be better than you and kick you out of your ranks.”

He lowered his eyes at me, a flicker of some emotion I didn’t recognize passed his face quickly and then to complete nothing, “I am here to watch over you like the leaders have assigned me, now you will get your stuff ready now!” he demanded in a harsher tone.
