Sweet Lullaby
Nightmares
Her long, blonde hair was going in thirty different directions, as we drove down the abandoned road.
The silence was filled by her beautiful laughter, making my stomach explode with butterflies.
Smiling, I looked over at her - watching her body bounce as she placed her small, pale hand over her mouth to try to stop the giggling.
It was in that moment, I realized I never wanted to be with anyone else. Her bright, blue eyes held more care than I could ever imagine someone to. The smile she let appear would, without a doubt, light up an entire room more than the sun. No one else could compare to that. Absolutely no one.
Eyes focused back on the road, I came to an abrupt stop, seeing as there was nothing more than a giant wooded area that I knew my car wouldn't make it through.
Both getting out, she placed her baby soft hand into mine, letting out fingers connect tightly.
Carefully, we stepped over logs and under tree branches to follow the narrow path of what looked like nothing but crumbled dirt.
She stopped at a tree and began softly letting her fingers linger around it, looking up at me with small smile that didn't hold as much happiness as a few moments ago.
I couldn't help but wonder what was so special about that tree, no matter how hard I tried to. Instead, I simply let her daze into deep thought while I took in more appearance of the forest.
Trees had fallen over from what looked like horrible storms and the grass was almost up to my kneecap. Moss leaked out from every part of the bark and insects had invested homes for themselves and their families. The what were supposed to be green leaves, looked as if they had no color left to them what-so-ever.
Emily started pulling my hand to get my attention. When I looked at her, she faintly told me to look. Letting my eyes fall onto what she was looking at, I saw what looked to be a rope dangling from the tree she had become so interested in. 'Why would she show me that?', I thought to myself. Not thinking much of it, I just nodded while smiling.
Telling me she wanted to climb to the top, I watched as she happily did so. But then the most unexpected happen...
Taking the rope in both hands, she tied it, placing it around her neck. I was literally frozen, not being able to move from my current position.
"I love you, Harry.", those were the last words that left her plump, pink lips as she took one final sigh and jumped.

I jolted awake, screaming and crying, never having a dream like this before.
The breaths increased, making me feel too lightheaded for my liking.
The last thing I said before falling back into darkness was, "why, Emily... why?"
