We're on Fire

I lead Ashton into the big front room where everyone was standing around, having a good time. I take her hand in my own as I go over to where I spotted Niall on the floor, a smoke in his mouth, and a girl who sat on his lap. I take the open seat beside him and pat the floor beside me so Ashton could sit down, a slight smirk on my lips as I look up at the bird who stood above me.

A sigh escapes her lips as she lowers herself to sit beside me. She sits her cup a little ways in front of her as I turn to look at her.

“Hey, Haz, want a light?” I hear Niall beside me and shrug my shoulders and nod my head. I pull a fresh cigarette from the pack he was holding and passes a lighter to me so I can light it. After I light it, I toss it back to him and slowly inhale in some of the fumes before I blow them out my mouth.

Most all of us that are in the room begin to take plenty vodka and have a grand time. I can’t help but feel my eyes wander to the brunette beauty beside me, Ashton. She’s beautiful and I wanted to know more, and I have a feeling I will, especially since she’s staying with Liam and I.

Louis soon opens his big mouth to speak, “Who’s up for a round or two of Never Have I Ever?” he asks the group of us all sat around. A few of the people around me begin to yell out random things to Louis and some agree with his choice of game while the rest of them mutter some other drinking game. Louis soon nods his head and mumbles something about the game that was about to begin before he takes his spot beside Zayn.

I notice Ashton glance across the room at someone and feel the slight tug of my ring as I bite my lip. She nods her head and smiles a bit. Probably just Liam.

“Alright…” Louis trails off and studies the room with his gaze to find someone to start the game. This is always how it goes. “Who wants to start off the game?” he questions loudly and begins to look around the room for the right person to start off the game. Pretty soon, he spots someone and I follow his eyes to his target only to find he picked Ashton, who sat beside me.

“You want to start it off, babe, the game?” he questions with a smirk as he looks at her. I feel the tug of my ring as I bite on my lip and smirk a bit as I turn to the gorgeous girl who sat cross-legged beside me.

“I…um,” she mumbles softly and looks over at me with those entrancing blue eyes of hers that were slightly dilated from the alcohol.

“You what, babe?” Louis questions the soft-spoken girl who sat beside me who I couldn’t take my eyes off of.

As I look at her, I feel her turn to me and take in a slow breath. She looks at me for a minute, a slight confused look on her face. My brows come together as I look at her. Why is she looking at me? I think to myself. She can speak up for herself if she wanted to or whatever. “What is it, Ash?” I ask as I lean forward toward her and smirk a bit when I notice her tense up a bit as my breath hit the side of her face, smoke leaving my mouth as I let a puff of smoke out.

“Um,” she mumbles and coughs a bit before continuing on, “I uh, dunno how to play, never played this before,” she exclaims and lets a nervous sigh escape her pink lips. Damn, this girl is definitely something else but I didn’t mind, I could manage, maybe even teach her a few things I got up my sleeve about this party thing. My mouth parts slightly and I take another drag of my cig before I blow the smoke out my mouth.

“You serious, babe?” I question with a smirk as I look at the girl who sat beside me. She nods her head and bites down on her lip before shifting her eyes away from mine. I let a laugh pass from my lips as I gaze at her.

“Haz, want to start the game off? Show ‘er how this goes,” Louis tells me with a hint of a smirk on my face. I give him a slight nod of my head and shrug my shoulders.

“Suppose so,” I mumble and run a hand through my hair before I begin to speak again, “Gotta think o’ somethin’ good first,” I finish as I begin to think of a good way to start this. I wanted to come up with something good, damn good. But what is something I’ve never done? In my twenty years, I’ve practically done it all, I think.

“Uh, never have I ever…um…jumped naked off a cliff into the ocean,”

“That was a lame one, man!” Louis says, a laugh sounding from Ashton’s lips. “Think of something else!”

“I would but I can’t!” I try to defend myself and take another drag of my cigarette. Louis just lets out a sigh and shakes his head.

“Fine,” Louis replies and turns to Ashton. “Your turn, love,”

I look over to find her staring at me with wide eyes. I give her a reassuring smile, knowing that she is most likely wracking her brain trying to come up with something.

“Okay,” she lets out a sigh, “um, never have I…ever…given a blowjob t’ someone,”

I scrunch up my nose and give her a look full of disgust. Niall bursts out laughing along with the girl who sat on his lap. Louis had a similar look on his face like me when I heard those words leave her mouth. The next time I look over at her, I see her blushing. Damn, she’s so fucking cute when she blushes. I know I barely met her only a few hours ago but this girl is driving me insane. All the more reason to get to know her better.

“What? I couldn’t think of anything else!” she tries to defend herself.

I can’t help but laugh loudly and notice her glare over at me. She smacks me in the arm and shakes her head before taking a sip of her drink in the cup she was holding. When her hand came into contact with my arm, I can’t help but feel a shot of electricity shoot throughout my body. As I look up to meet her gaze, I notice she was staring elsewhere. She looks over at me and I notice that she is still blushing.

God I wanted to kiss her so bad, no, make out with her but I know she wouldn’t let me. She wasn’t like that and I had to accept that, for now. I intend on doing so and making a move on her but I wanted to wait for the right moment and not fuck things up.

We continue to play the game and have a fun time for the next few hours. It was a grand time indeed with drinks and new friends. I chat a little more with Ashton before the night is over and everyone has practically left the party. I pull my drunken self up onto the nearest couch so I can pass out for the night. This is only just the beginning and I know there will be plenty more of these to come.
