★ Chapter 7 ★
*Alex's POV*
After thinking about my feelings for Luke, i shrug it off as it’s probably nothing like i assume.
“I umm.. I thought about what you said” Luke says as I hear him shuffle in the bed so he is facing me. The street lights gently bream through the window, which means i can slightly see him.
“Hmm, what did i say?”
“Well.. about how you said that we don’t know each other. At first it was true, but now i feel as if we are becoming closer, and getting to know eachother better”
“Me too” i smile. I picture him earlier today, with his black jeans and t-shirt. He dresses so simple but he pulls it off every time. His lip ring and tattoos just top off his whole look.
Before i realise what i am doing, i trace the sparrow inked into his lower abb.
“Oh sorry” i quickly flutter with embarrassment and flick my hand away.
“No, don’t be. I kinda like it” he says grabbing my hand and placing it back onto his tattoo.
“How come you have so many tattoos?” i can’t but help and ask. He tells me about how he got his first tattoo when he was 15, and he told me every meaning behind each one.
“How come your name is Alex? Like isn’t that a boy’s name?” he asks. I giggle at his question.
“If you must know, my full name is Alexia” i sigh.
“Then why change it to Alex?”
“Because, well I don’t know. To be honest only my mum and dad know my real name, i haven’t ever told my friends or anyone else”
“Then, why did you tell me?” he looks at me, boring his blue eyes into my brown ones.
“Because, i ermm. I feel like i can be open to you, but i don’t know why?” i yawn at the end of my sentence, signalling that i was getting sleepy.
“How about we go to bed, yea?” he says, and shuffles around while getting comfy.
After silences passing and my eyes are drifting off, i feel luke remove the pillow in between us and wrap his arms around my waist.
“Goodnight Alexia”

I wake up from the sun streaming through the left open curtains, and i am confronted with the experience of waking up in a guys arms, something that i have never done before.
I have never, hang out with a guy alone, yet spend the night and wake up in his arms? Who is this girl?
I quietly break out of Luke’s embrace and he is still sleepy soft and peacefully.
I got to the bathroom and tie up my hair in a messy ponytail
I am still in Luke’s sweats and top, which is a good sign that i didn’t do anything stupid.
I turn on my phone to find many, many messages from my mum and dad, asking the same thing
‘where are you Alex?’
‘why aren’t you home?’
I am now snapped into reality and leave behind who i was with Luke. I throw on my clothes from yesterday, grab my things, and go.
I look back once more, before leaving, to see the beautiful boy that i leave sleeping.

I get back to my house, and debate whether its worth the trouble to go inside, or run away.
I nervously open the front door, and already regret it.
My mum is up in my face lecturing me about my curfew and blah blah blah
“Why didn’t you call Young lady? your father and i were worried sick last night because you never came home! You didn’t return any of our calls and-“ blah blah blah, i get distracted as i find myself thinking about Luke and what he would of looked like, waking up and finding i had left
“Alexia!” my mother snaps her fingers, inches from my face. Yup she’s pissed. She just called me by my full name “Where were you last night?”
I am saved from that question as there is a loud bang on my door. My mum furiously looks at me, but then again smiles before opening the door. Her smile fades and her eyebrows furrow together as to why the boy with tattoos is at the door.
Luke.
“Can i help you?’ my mother rudely scoffs at Luke, well she doesn’t know his name.
He ignores her and pushes towards me, and confuses me with a hug “Alex are you okay? I was so scared when i saw you weren’t there “I sooth his back as his chest falls up and down rapidly, probably cause he ran here. It takes me moments to realise that my mother is still here and is eye balling me and Luke, since he showed up
“So this is where you were last night? With this...thing?” she scoffs and gestures to Luke “This.. this boy with tattoos and piercings and for god sakes alex, this is the boy you were with? What would your father think about this?”
“Mum relax he is my chemistry partner and-“
“Don’t you tell my lies Alex, you told me you were going to that lovely boy Marcel’s house, but it turns out you were with him. I don’t know my own daughter anymore” those last words coming off my mum’s lips, crush me
“But mum nothing happened-“ i try to talk but she cuts me off again
“we’ve only been in Australia for a week and your already changing. First to that party and now with this ... b-boy”
Wait, how does my mum know about the party? I never told her
“How do you know about the party?” i ask
“Go to your room now Alex!”
“But how do you know about the-“
“Alex, don’t make me ask you again. Go! And for you..” she turns to Luke “You stay away from my daughter because she doesn’t need any trouble and you are just bad news to her” with that she shuts the door at his face.
I run up the stairs in complete tears.
