★Chapter 23 ★
*Alex's POV*
“Luke it will be fine, just go in” i cool Luke as we sit in his car, parked up at the front of Calum’s house
He told me that he got kicked out of the band and since i know that his music is so important to him, i suggested that he get the boys to forgive him.
“Go” i say, referring to Calum’s house
“Will you come with me?” he pouts
“Fine” i unbuckle my seatbelt and try to step out, but Luke quickly locks the door “What?”
“No no. Since you are now my ‘girlfriend’ “he emphasis the g word “i am going to be a proper boyfriend and open the car door for my lovely girlfriend”
I laugh and he steps out on his side and rushes around to open the door on my side “There you go m’lady” he chuckles as i step out and he pats me on the backside
“Hay!” i gasp
“Sorry hand slipped” he chuckles
I swat my hand playfully at him as we walk hand in hand up Calum’s driveway.
He rings the bell, and tries to make a run for it but i catch his arm and hold him back
“It will be fine” i assure him
“Pizza’s here!” someone yells through the other side of the door
The door opens, revealing Michael, and his face drops when he see’s Luke
“Oh”
“Hey Mikey” Luke scratches the back of his neck
“Hey”
“Can we come in?”
“Sure, we’re all down the back”
Luke leads and I follow as we walk down to the basement to see the other boys doing their usually jamming session.
“Hi guys” i say
“What’s ‘he’ doing here?” Ashton scoffs
I stand behind Luke, as he turns around to me saying “Alex, if you don’t mind i think i’m gonna talk to the boys alone”
“Oh okay”
Luke’s the one that wanted me to come inside and now he doesn’t want me to stay for their talk? Whatever, i shrugged it off and waited in the kitchen
**
*Luke’s POV*
“So are we all good?”
The boys looked at each other then nod “Were all good”
“So i’m back in the band?”
“Yes, we’ve missed you Lukey” Calum pats me on the back
“But just to be clear, Michael Ashton, Alex is my girl”
“Yeah yeah, don’t worry, i understand” Michael cheers
“Ashton?”
“o-oh yeah, i know”
“Good”
“Luke?” i hear Alex call as she walks down into the basement
“Yes?”
“Are we all good?” she asks
“Yep” we boys say in unison as Ashton stares bluntly at the ground
“Ash?”
“Hmm, oh yeah”
“So what the fuck were you boys thinking, its 11:00 am and you ordered Pizza?” Alex jokes taking a seat on my lap
“Hay! It is never too early for pizza” Michael defends.
Everyone breaks into their own conversation and digged into the pizza that shortly after arrived. Everything seemed back to normal with the boys, except Ashton, he still semmed a little off...
*Alex’s POV*
I went into Calum’s kitchen cause i needed a glass of water and Michael requested a beer so i did just that
I grabbed Michael’s beer and my glass of water, when Ashton walked in the kichten too
“Hey Ash, you want one?” i raised the beer.
“Ah no thanks”
“Oh okay”
Since when were things so awkward between us? Oh right, since he tried to kiss me at Starbucks and Luke broke his nose
“But that’s not actually why i came in here?”
“Oh, why did you then?”
“To talk to you”
“Oh” i say, placing the beer and glass of water on the counter
“Look, just because you are with Luke now that doesn’t mean my feelings for you are gone”
“Oh. Look Ashton-“
“Thank you Alex” Michael pops out of nowhere and takes his beer off the counter
Suddenly Luke and Calum also appear in the kitchen interrupting mine and Ashton’s conversation
Luke just slightly glares at Ashton as he wraps his arms around my waist and pecks my cheek
“Argh. Please don’t be one of those PDA couples” Calum groans
Everyone laughs but Ashton.
“Anyway Luke, Alex, are you guys gonna come to Brooke’s party tonight?” Michael asks
“Umm i don’t know, seeing as the past couple of parties haven’t ended so well” i sya
“Oh come on now, we almost hooked up at your first party” Luke laughs
I laugh back remebring to those times when Luke and I didn’t get on so well. Come to think of it, it wasn’t that long ago
“Ok lets go. It’d be nice to see Brooke again” i smile
“Yea you won’t be the only excited one to see Brooke, Alex” Michael says nudging Calum at his side
“Ow!” he says
“Oh come on that didn’t hurt” Michael and Calum continue to bicker
“So what you say? I pick you up at 7?”
“Perfect” and with that i sealed a kiss upon Luke’s mouth.
