☆ Chapter 10 ☆
*Alex's POV*
We carefully sneak out my window, trying not to alarm anyone. Especially my dad.
I almost slip, but with Luke carefully guiding me down, i am fine.
We safely make it back to his car, and he opens the door for me, just like a gentlemen. He is actually being nice tonight. ‘nice for now’ my subconscious adds. When was she here?
His car roars to life, and we begin to drive off.
“So where are we heading?” i causally ask. His silence is showing off his nerves
“Well i thought we could go out for dinner then catch a movie?”
“Sounds great” i smile.
Faint, rock music, beams through his car, and it takes me back to the day, where i first watch his band play. The way luke’s long fingers smoothly strummed his guitar, and the way those lyrics stuck with me, and i found myself humming that song the next day.
I surprise Luke and myself by turning up his radio, revealing a nirvana song.
“You like this song?” he asks, confusion is clear on his face, as he turns to look at me
“Well i don’t really listen to this type of music, but it’s alright” i shrug. He chuckles then looks back at the road
“What?” i ask, as he still chuckles
“Well, what music do you like?”
“I like Coldplay i guess” i smile “oh and this other dorky band cause 5 Seconds of Summer” i tease
“You really liked our music didn’t you?” he smirks
“Yeah i did. It wasn’t what i was expecting”
“Well i’ll have to play you another song sometime” he smiles and winks
“Yeah, defiantly”
After he drives more and we talk, i try to convince him that Coldplay aren’t a dorky band but he doesn’t buy it.
We pull up to a really cute cafe’ and it smells amazing as soon as we walk inside. It has a vintage theme which I love, and i promise myself to come here more often
We are seated at a booth near the back, by a cute lady with gray hair, and a work badge saying ‘Nancy’
“This place looks amazing” i smile, taking in the surroundings. We sit not far from a garden, where checker painted pot plants lay in perfect lines.
“I thought you might like it” he smiles.
“This isn’t a place where i would except you to come” i giggle at him
“Yeah well, i guess i have a soft side too” he laughs
“Hi Luke” a blonde waitress says, as she approaches our table about to take our order
She is wearing her button-up shirt, unbuttoned, to a point where too much cleavage is shown and her skirt is way shorter than any of the other waitress and is wearing heels much higher than mine. And i am on a date and she is at work.
“Hey Kristy” he replies
Oh course they know each other, and i know exactly how. (A/N Wink wink )
“What can i get you?” she asks him, not noticing me at all, as she pulls out a pen and paper out of her bra, trying to be seductive. But fails, for me at least, probably not for luke.
“Just the usual thanks” Luke must come here often then, if he has a usual and knows the waitress so well. “I suppose you want the same” he asks, and i nod, not wanting to talk right now.
“And would you like anything to drink?” he asks, only him again. Yeah again, bitch, slut, hoe, cunt, whore-
“Do you want a drink Alex?” Luke asks, as i look up to find them both staring at me, finally, the slut finally notices me.
“umm yeah ill just get whatever your getting”
‘Kristy’ the trash hoe, confirms our order, and walks away leaving us alone. Bout’ time.
“so what are you thinking about?” Luke asks
“Nothing” i softly reply, picturing me grabbing that waitresses by the fake lashes and chucking her out the window.
Calm down Alex, luke didn’t even seem slightly interested in her. Sure they’ve probably hooked up before. My heart gets that unknown sting as i think about him with another girl. But he is with me now. I mean.. that we are hanging out, not that we are...
“Here are your drinks” our slutty waistless returns placing two cokes down on the table, bending down purposely showing her boobs. To my surprise, NOT, Luke was actually staring at them.
“I’m going to go to the bathroom” i mumble.
When i get to the bathroom, i stare at myself in the mirror comparing myself to our whor- i mean waitress.
Ok, yes she has bigger boobs then me, and she is straight like a pencil, while i have slight curves. But luke can’t ditch me for her! He said he needed me and i make him happy. Yet again she could make him very happy, while im stuck being a unexperienced virgin. “It wouldn’t surprise me if Luke does ditch me for her” i sigh and exited the bathroom.
I look over to our table and i was right! She is perched up on his lap, and they are all over each other. Her hands rub her way through his hair and they make out not noticing me.
She pulls away for a breath and smirks at me, Bitch. Luke turns around, but his smile fades very quickly.
“Alex wait!” he calls out, as i exit the cafe’ and walk away.
“Alex!” he calls again, but i keep on ignoring
“Alexia!” this time its sounds closer, but i keep walking. Before i know it, Luke is right in front of me holding me back by the shoulders. I look away from him, but stand still.
“Alex please look at me” he pleads, no he begs. I still refuse to looks at him, so he takes my chin between his index finger and thumb, and forces me to look at him.
“Just, why? Why do you have the nerve to hurt me?” i ask, holding back unwanted tears.
“I don’t, she just came onto me, i didn’t kiss her ” he reasons
“But you allowed her to kiss you”
“I – i. I did” he admits “but that is one of the stupidest mistakes i have ever made and i will never make one again”
“How can i believe you?”
“I will prove it”
He leans down, and kisses me. Yep my first kiss ever, and i am 18. His tongue is rough against mine but the sensation and passion is incredible.His finger trace mycheek bone and my fingers thread through his hair and it reminds me that this is Luke’s second kiss tonight.
