Move in Day of College
I finally get to move in to the University! I am so happy to get away from Wolverhampton, get away from Nici and everything that reminds me of her. I haven’t talked to Liam since our big fight. I don’t even know if I want to talk to him ever again. I miss telling him everything and just being with him but ever since he became a huge star he has changed. I talk to Harry and Niall like every day though so I know what Liam is up to. Apparently he is always hanging out with Danielle and he is always in a sour mood when he isn’t with her.
My parents were helping me bring in the last boxes from the car when a short red headed girl bursts into the room and started jumping up and down.
“Hi! Hi! Hi! I am Rose Link!!! It is so nice to meet you finally!” She had a huge smile on her face and she came up and started hugging my waist.
“Oh, hi! I am Aurora and it is great to meet you too! So where are you from?” I asked as she unwrapped her arms around my waist.
“Oh I am from Dublin, my dad owns a Tavern there! I don’t like to brag but I can handle my liquor very well, being Irish and all.” Wow she is really bubbly, I love it.
“Well that is something to be very proud of. I am from Wolverhampton myself.”
“Wolverhampton? OMG! Do you know Liam Payne? He is from there! You have had to run into him at least once in your life! I absolutely LOVE One Direction!” Flails her arms and knocks over one of the boxes that are piled in the middle of the room. “Oops! I am fangirlling so hard I injure the things around me!”
“Hahahaha! It is totally fine.” I don’t want to tell Rose about Liam because I just want to start a new life and I don’t want to be connected to him anymore. “No I do not know Liam luckly! He looks like a total douche!”
Rose gasped and grabbed her heart. “How could you say such a thing? He is the most beautiful man on the face of the Earth! I want to have all of his babies!” I looked at her shocked, and I tried to grasp what she just said. I have never met a true fangirl of Liam but it is a little creepy how she wants his babies. She doesn’t even know how much of a jerk he can be… but he can be super sweet and kind and… no stop! He was such a jerk and he is nothing to me now.
“He just has the stuck up look. Personally I think Harry looks like a fun guy to be around.” I say trying to get back on her good side. She looks like she would be a really good friend I don’t want to lose a possible friendship over Liam when I just want him out of my life.
“Harry is sooo funny! Have you seen his interviews? He makes me laugh so hard!” She is all bubbly again. I am so glad that I changed the subject.
We kept talking about all of the other boys of One Direction except for Liam, luckily. Their first CD came out recently, I of course have a personal signed copy from the boys but I made sure to hide it so no one could find it. Rose said that she waited for 5 hours in line just to buy the CD. That is completely crazy! Who would do that? We finally finished unpacking.
“Aurora! You have to come watch One Direction interviews with me! Please?” Rose begged as she pulled her laptop onto her lap.
“Okay, fine! Which one are we going to watch?”
“The interview about the songs on the album that they just released, they are talking about what the songs mean” Rose was practically jumping up and down while sitting. It was amazing how much height she could get off of her bed.
“Okay, okay. Play it” I said as I sat down next to her.
The video showed all five of the boys, Harry Liam and Niall were sitting in the first row and Louis and Zayn were sitting in the row behind them. They all had smiles on their face and looked genuinely happy, except for Liam, his smile didn’t look like his real smile, the smile that I saw when he was with me. It made me sad to see him like that.
“So, boys I heard that you recently released a new album!” The interviewer said.
“Yea! It was really fun recording all of the songs together!” Harry said.
“Most of the songs that you guys recorded seem to be love songs, any person in particular that these songs were written for or about?” Most of the boys looked at Liam.
“Well Liam here wrote a handful of songs,” Harry said.
“Well yes I did write most of the songs,” Liam said as he shot a sour look to Harry.
“Yea and they are all for someone that he is very close to and loves ever so much” Harry continued ignoring Liam’s threatening glare.
“Well that is some juicy intel. Now it is rumored that you have started dating Danielle, your stylist’s assistant.” The interviewer said, trying to get who the songs were about.
“Yes we are currently dating” Liam said sourly.
“Well thank you for your confirmation!” The shot switched from the interview room to the interviewer standing alone in a room “Well there you have it folks! Liam Payne is currently off the market and it looks like all of the love songs that he has written have been about her! Wouldn’t anyone wish that a teen sensation like One Direction had a handful of song specifically for you? I know I would” The video ended and Rose was now frowning.
“Rose, what’s wrong?” I asked genuinely curious.
“He… he is…. Taken” Rose cried as she slumped into my shoulder. “I was hoping that he would meet me and fall in love with me and we would get married and have lots of babies and it would be perfect”
“Shhh, Rose. It is okay you will find someone else don’t worry! Come on let’s go meet some people!” I dragged her off her bed and stood her up.
We walked down the hall and out into the quad which is right outside our dorm building. When we walked out the door I literally ran into this guy who was walking up the steps to the door. We both fell and landed on the ground.
“Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I should’ve looked where I was going! I am so clumsy sometimes.” I look over at the guy who is next to me he has brown hair and bright blue eyes. He was very attractive.
“It is all right! I would gladly fall for a girl like you!” He smiled at me. “I’m Luke Sommers. And you are?” He offered his hand to me.
“Aurora Green.” I shook his hand and smiled.
“Well it is nice to meet you Aurora. What year are you?”
“Freshman, and yourself?”
“Freshman, also. I am studying Math. I know I am a total nerd for doing so” He said as he kept looking into my eyes and smiling.
“Seriously? I am studying Math too.” I am so happy to finally find someone who understands the joy of Math.
“Well I am glad that you two nerds are getting along but we are going to head to the club fair,” Rose said as she started dragging my arm.
“That sounds like fun I will join you!” Luke said as he started walking with us.
We were looking around for about 15 minutes when some of Rose’s tennis friends came over and Rose went with them to go look at clubs. Luke and I were talking and walking around for about 2 hours when we realized that we didn’t even look at any of the clubs. He was just so easy to talk to. We talked about where we grew up, what our childhood was like, who our best friends are, I just said that I was friends with a guy named Liam not that he is the Liam of One Direction. I really don’t want to lie to him. He is so cute too that it just makes my heart melt.
“We really haven’t even looked at any of the booths, I think maybe I should take you back to your room” Luke finally said. I didn’t want to go back because I wanted to hang out with him some more.
“Yea, sounds good!” We started walking to my dorm and when we got to the building I brought him up to my room so I can stay with him for a little bit longer. Once we got to my door I say, “This was really fun! We should do this again sometime!”
“Oh definitely! I am so glad that you ran into me!” He leaned down and gave me a kiss on the cheek and he left. I opened the door to see Rose sitting on her bed looking at her laptop. Her head jerked up as I opened the door.
“Sooo, how did it go with Mathman? You have to tell me details!” She said as she started bouncing again.
“It was alright we talked for 2 hours and he is so nice, and sweet, and he is soooooooooo attractive!!! He kissed my cheek when he dropped me off at the door. “But I think we are just going to be friends, I am not really looking for a relationship right now.”
“What?!? How could you say that? You guys have so much chemistry! You should at least go out once with him!”
“Maybe I will I don’t quite know yet.”
“You should invite him to the party we are going to tonight!”
“We are going to a party? Since when?”
“Since now silly! You got his number right?”
“Yes, but…”
“No buts you are inviting him!” Rose cut me off.
“Fine! Let me just text him then.” I grabbed my phone and typed in a message.
Me: Hey! I was wondering if you want to go to a party with me and Rose tonight!!!
It was about 5 minutes before he texted me back.
Luke: Yea sure! I would love to!
Party time!
Rose and I arrived to the party which was in a dorm building across the quad. I was wearing a pair of flats with leggings and a long flowy shirt. Rose was wearing a lace dress with black pumps. I saw Luke in the crowd holding a beer. I walked up to him and gave him a hug.
“Hey, you!” I said.
“Hey! What’s up?” He asked
“Nothing much! I am so glad you came.” I said smiling.
“I’m glad you invited me! So you want a beer?”
“Yea sure!” Luke left to go grab me a beer when he got back I pretty much downed the whole bottle.
“Wow! You went through that fast! Want another?” I was nervous hence the chugging of alcohol. He went and brought back 3 with him. I downed another 2 before I just started sipping the last one.
“Wooo! Aurora party time!” I heard Rose yell behind me. Everything was starting to get a little fuzzy but I was starting to warm up to my surroundings. I started dancing hard core with Luke, which definitely included grinding. I was getting really warm and I already finished my fourth beer. I need something else to drink. I went into the kitchen and saw people doing shots of vodka. I decided to join. I did about 3 shots when I saw Luke come into the kitchen and start laughing at me.
“Aurora, come on let’s go I think you have had enough tonight!” He grabbed my waist to support my weight.
“I gots to tell Rooooossssieeee!” I slurred.
“Okay come on let’s go find her.”
“You are soooo pretty! Did you know that?” I say as I started stroking his face and looking into his eyes. His eyes locked with mine and he started leaning in for a kiss. My stomach churned and I turned my head and threw up in a plant. Ugh I did not feel good now.
“Come on we have to find Rose and take you back!” I vaguely remember finding Rose she was dancing with some random guy and she didn’t want to leave yet so Luke just took me back to my room. When we got there he laid me down on my bed and grabbed a paper towel and started wiping off my face. I started closing my eyes. I heard my phone ring but I couldn’t open my eyes so I just ignored it. I heard Luke answer it.
“Hello?” I heard Luke say.
“Auri?” I heard a male voice on the other line.
“No, this is Luke, Aurora is kind of passed out on the bed right now.” Luke said sounding confused.
“She is what?!?” I heard the male voice yell. “Don’t you dare do anything to hurt her or I swear I will find you and ruin your entire god damned life!”
“Dude! Chill! I was just taking care of her I would never hurt her. Besides who are you to yell at me like that.” Luke sounded like he was getting angry and this unknown male voice.
“Just tell Auri that her best friend called and that I really need to talk to her.”
“Okay I will tell her in the morning. Bye” Luke hung up the phone without hearing the reply. I felt him lay down next to me in bed. I couldn’t complain he is so sweet and I could care less if he was in the bed with me. I finally drifted off to sleep.
I woke up to the sun blinding my eyes coming in from the window. I heard a soft snoring coming from right next to me. I looked up from my pillow and see Rose just sitting in a chair looking at me and Luke.
“What happened last night?” Rose whispered to me.
“Nothing I think, the last thing I remember is throwing up in some random plant.” I said I felt a headache coming on.
“Mmhm okay! Oh, here is an aspirin for you!” She handed me two little red pills. I grabbed them and swallowed them. I heard a stirring of the bed next to me.
“When did you get back?” I asked Rose.
“Sometime around 4 this morning.”
“How the hell are you this bubbly then?”
“I will tell you after he leaves, you need to wake him up and kick him out.” Rose kept whispering.
I turned over and nudged Luke and whispered into his ear. “Luke, it’s morning. You need to go back to your dorm.”
He shot up. “Huh? Oh yea okay I will go now.” He got up and put on his shoes and grabbed his phone. He was about to go out the door when he turned and looked at me and said “Your ‘best friend’ called last night he said that he really wanted to talk to you” he air quoted around best friend. With that he left my room.
“Who is your best friend?” Rose asked as soon as he left.
“Um well we aren’t really friends anymore I just wish he would realize that he is a jackass. I don’t want to even talk about him.” I say. Why the hell would Liam call me he needs to just stay out of my business?
“Oh okay… so tell me what did you do last night?” Rose asked again.
“Nothing I told you! I am going to go back to bed I feel like shit!” I shrugged the blankets over my head and went back to sleep.
