The Day of Finals
Liam was so nervous yesterday it was unbelievable. He would try to sit still and watch a movie with me but would end up jumping up in the middle of it and start pacing back and forth across the room. Every once in a while he would make sure that I was going to be there for him at the competition. I would assure him that I have nothing better to do.
Now I was here standing back stage and it was just three people left. They have all already sung and now they are eliminating. I was getting so nervous for him. Nicola and I were standing there holding each other’s hands. Then they said that One Direction was eliminated. I started crying so hard for them. They worked so hard to end up not winning. They were the favorite by everyone, how could this happen? I looked and saw the look on Liam’s face and my heart broke into a million pieces and I knew that I was going to have to be there to pick up all of the little pieces again.
Once the boys got off the stage all of them went to their parents except for Liam he came over to me and Nicola and gave us a hug while trying not to cry. It was so heart wrenching.
“Guys I know how great you are and I know that even though you guys did not win the show you are going to succeed in this industry” Simon said as he came off the stage. “I would like to sign you on my record label”
All the boys stopped what they were doing and looked at Simon.
“Are you serious?” Liam asked.
“Of course! You guys can make it all the way, I believe in you!” With that
Simon left the boys and continued on back stage.
The boys just stood there quietly for a minute then started cheering and went into a big group hug. Liam finally got to live his dream, he is going to become the biggest thing out there. I was torn because I knew that this was going to happen but I didn’t want him to leave. I actually don’t have any friends besides him and his sister. His sister was several years older so she was already in college. I just have to finish up this year and then I can go to a university as well. I am going to miss him so much.
