Right In Front of Your Eyes

Liam's POV
I roll over to cuddle with Aurora some more when I realized that she wasn't in bed with me. I sit up frantically looking for her. I see her pulling a shirt over her head and pulling on the athletic shorts that she was wearing yesterday. "Auri, come back to bed it's really early." I say as I pat the bed next to me.
"No...no... No, this never happened." She hurried out the door.
Shit! I bolt up and grab the pair of sweatpants on my floor and pull them on as I go after her. "Aurora, what are you talking about?" I ask her as I hop into the living room.
"Liam... We shouldn't have done this it was a mistake. You have a girlfriend who you are serious about." She tells me.
"What are you talking about?" I am genuinely confused.
"Sophia, your girlfriend." She reminds me.
"She doesn't have to be anymore. This changes everything."
"This doesn't change anything. I have to go, just forget this ever happened okay. We were drunk it was a big ass mistake." She leave through the front door of my apartment. I watch her leave down the hallway. Damn, I really messed this up. I slam the door and I slide down to the floor and put my head into my hands. What did I do?
Aurora's POV
I had to get out of there. As much as I wish that it would all work out between us and we can be together again. This was not the way to go. Liam should not have slept with me, he has…. He has…. Sophia. I want to cry. I literally gave Liam all that I had left. He knows absolutely all of me, I thought that I would feel good afterwards but I kinda feel like shit. I mean it would be different if we were dating but it was more of a one night stand. I make it to the lobby and I am about to leave when I see Sophia, shit! I go and try to get out of sight. I watch to make sure that she doesn't see me. I see her lock lips with Toby Russel, the same guy who I dated then he cheated on me with Nici. Then she enters the building and heads to the elevator. I have to get out of here. I can't believe Sophia would cheat on Liam I mean I thought she said that he was perfect, and with Toby no less. That bitch! I am angry now but I am still crying I must look like a mess. I probably have sex hair too, well that's just fantastic. I make it back to my condo within 5 minutes. I enter the condo and I rush up to the bathroom so I can try and clean away everything I did. I get out of the shower and wrap a towel around me and head to my room but not before running into Harry in the hallway.
"Hey Aurora! I didn't know you were home." Harry says obviously wanting to have a full fledged conversation with me while I am in just a towel.
"I just got home, but I am not staying here that long I have to go to the hospital to visit someone." I tell him.
"Oh who is in the hospital?" He asks me.
"Luke had an accident yesterday and I want to make sure that he is doing alright." I start looking back and forth hoping that Harry will realize that I am uncomfortable.
"Oh well don't be late for dinner for Rose's birthday." He reminds me. Shit I forgot… that means Liam is going to be there.
"Okay I won't…. Can I go change now?" I ask Harry hoping he will let me go.
"Oh… yea sorry I forget people are uncomfortable without clothes on." He then ventures down the hall. He is a weird lil' fella.
I go and change into some jeans and a flowing top and head back out the door to my car. I drive to the hospital and I ask what room Luke is in. I take the elevator up to see him. He isn't in critical condition which is a good thing. I enter the hospital room and see that his whole upper body is covered in bandages probably because of the burns.
"Hey Lukey, How ya feeling?" I ask
"Hey Sunshine I feel okay it hurts a little to do anything right now." He responds and smiles at me.
"I wish I could have done something to prevent this." I feel a tear roll down my cheek.
"Hey, there wasn't anything you could do. There's no need to cry."
"Luke, I think I did something bad last night." I sit down on the edge of his bed and look down at my hands.
"What did you do?" He asks, probably thinking I broke a law or something.
"I may or may not have went to Liam's flat last night and might have gotten drunk and had sex with him." I can't look at him right now.
"Well, I was not expecting that. Actually I did expect that to happen eventually, I just didn't think that is what you were going to say." I look at him, he is really chill about this right now.
"Does everyone think that Liam and I can't control ourselves?" I ask because I feel like if I told anyone their response would be the same.
"Yes… actually. I mean you don't have the third party view when it comes to you two. There is so much sexual tension that at one point it is just going to be so much that it's going to explode in your face. Which is exactly what happened." I just look shocked at him.
"You can't tell anyone though, I will tell Rose eventually I just can't right now. Okay?"
"Yea no problem, your secret is safe with me." I smile at him.
"I have to go, I have a birthday dinner for Rose to go to. I hope you feel better I will probably stop by tomorrow though." I give him a kiss on his cheek.
"Tell Rose I said Happy Birthday."
"Okay I will" I leave the hospital and head over to the restaurant for Rose's dinner.
"Hi I am here for the Styles party." I say to the hostess.
"Okay, since it is a very exclusive party I will have to see your ID." The hostess says.
"She is with me." A heavy Irish voice says as he comes behind me and wraps his arms around my waist.
"I'm sorry Mr. Horan. My mistake" The hostess leads us to the table.
"Ni! How are you? I have missed you so much" I hug Niall.
"I'm pretty good. What happened to your face?" He asks as he touches my forehead.
"Wow thanks for making me feel pretty Ni." I laugh at him.
"You make battle scars look hot!" Niall tells me.
I just have to laugh at him I have no other response.
"Seriously though, how did you get the wound?"
"Shh it's a secret." I whisper to him.
"Like a national secret?" He whispers to me.
I just wink at him and crack a smile.
"Secret agent man…" Niall softly sings to me I laugh at him. We are really close to each other our faces are only inches apart.
I hear someone clear their throat. I turn and see Liam spotted us. I smile at him sheepishly. Zayn, Perrie, Louis and Eleanor are right behind him. I smile and wave at them. They all sit down and we wait for Harry and Rose to arrive. Liam is sitting across from me and watching me and Niall.
Harry and Rose finally arrive and they looked so happy. I smile as Rose comes and sits next to me and Harry sits on the other side of her.
"Liam, where is Sophia?" Harry asks Liam.
"We… uh… broke up." Liam looks at me when he says that.
"Why?" Zayn asks him. I think he is the only one who actually tolerated her.
"Infidelity issues." Liam says as he tears his eyes away from mine and looks at Zayn.
"I'm sorry man but she was such a whore." Louis says.
He just lets it all out he has no boundaries. I just roll my eyes at Louis.
"I think I say for everyone when I say we are happy that you guys aren't dating anymore." Niall says.
"I second that!" Harry chimes in.
"Okay can we drop my bad dating decisions?" Liam says.
"Yea it's not about him. Today is my day!" Rose says definitively.
"Speaking of my princess I have a little speech prepared for this situation." Harry gets up and grabs a jewelry box from his pocket and clears his throat. "Rose I have known you for some time now…." He starts to get down on one knee.
"Oh my god." Rose yells she doesn't look very happy she just looks shocked.
"Just kidding! But I do have a speech." Harry says cheekily. "I give you this ring as a promise to you a promise that I will be here and I will always be true I promise that I will hold you when your day isn't going right and I will comfort you through the long cold night I promise that I will make you smile when you feel like dying I promise that I will be here when you feel like crying I promise that I will guide you when the future isn't clear I promise I will be there to wipe away every tear I promise that no matter what we will make it through I give you this ring as a promise a promise that I will always love you." He gives her the box which has an infinity ring in it with the word 'forever' engraved in it.
Liam gives me a look that he was silently saying this to me. I want to just cry because I know that being together is too complicated for me.
"I got myself a ring to show that I will always be yours" he shows her the ring on his right hand and he takes it off. "And when I am not wearing it there will always be an imprint on my skin reminding me of you." I think Rose was about to melt during Harry's speech, she looks like she wants to cry now.
"Harry, I love you." That is all that she can say and my heart goes out to her for being able to not let anything get in the way of her happiness.
"I love you too." They kiss and our whole table awes.
"Harry I didn't know you could say complete thoughts out loud. I am proud of you man!" Louis says as Eleanor hits him.
"Yea thanks" Harry says as he hides his hands.
"You wrote it on your hand! You couldn't remember it…. But that's okay I know you mean every word."
"I knew it was just too good to be true" Louis says.
I look at Liam again and he just has the look of longing in his eyes and I can't handle it anymore I have to leave.
"Rose, listen I am not feeling to hot right now. I think I am going to go" I whisper to Rose.
"Okay I will see you at home." She says.
I get up from the table and start walking towards the door.
"Auri!" I hear Liam call after me.
"Yea?" I turn around to face him. We are now by the hostess' stand.
"Are you okay? Nothing is bleeding right? Your head feels fine." Liam says as he examines the cut on my head.
"Yea I am fine" I look him straight in the eyes.
"Why are you leaving me again?" He asks me.
"It is just too much to be around you Liam. Too many feelings are going through my head and my heart at the same time and all I can think about doing is crying. But it isn't a bad crying don't worry."
"I have feelings too Auri, I just think that we should figure them out together, maybe get some dinner alone or a coffee." He suggests.
"I don't want to go out into public Liam, even this is too much for me. Everyone judging me and analyzing everything I do. I know I am not perfect and I don't like when people point out my flaws because it brings me down. I am going to go, I don't want to cry in front of everyone" I leave out the door and I could have sworn I heard Liam say, "You are perfect."
