There's Someone Always Watching

Tessa's POV

Niall dropped the body as I closed my mouth. He looked at me, his red eyes glowing, his teeth barred. I backed away, looking at the body of the dead girl that laid at his feet.

Niall sped to me, gripping my elbows as I thrashed from side to side. His fangs were sharp, and they were perfectly white.

"Tessa," he breathed. His eyes looked as if they had grown more red.

"You killed that girl!" I suddenly broke free of his grip, falling to the ground. "She's dead!" I pointed at her. Who was she? Was she really dead? Is that what the book from the library meant, after the male bites the female she dies?

"Tessa, listen." Niall leaned down to where I was. I was shaking. I shook my head, crawling away from Niall.

"You- you bit her," I stated in a shaky voice. Niall looked back at the girl, his fangs plunging back into his gums, his eyes back to their crystal-clear color.

"Yes, I did." Niall offered me a hand, an I stared at it. Could I really trust him now? "That's how we survive." I got up now.

"But...if you did that to her, I'm still human. What if you did that to me?" Niall looked down. I backed away. "Would you throw me into the woods, too?"

He looks up, his eyes red again. He licked his teeth of the dried blood, then his lips.

"Niall..." I warned.

He tackled me to the ground.

No. I wouldn't become that girl over there. No. I wasn't exactly human. No. I wasn't going to die.

"No Niall!" I tried pushing him off me, but he was too strong. His hands pried my head to the side, then lowered his lips to my neck.

"Please Niall! No!"

I felt him grin evilly.

He sunk his teeth into my neck. The burning sensation in that little patch he had was just indescribable. it hurt so much.

The little light I could see was fading. My eyes felt heavier and heavier. Niall didn't seem to stop as I closed my eyes.

Who knew it would end like this?
