Love/Hate

Hayden's P.O.V.

I finally can go home today, but docker said that my neck needs to be wrapped because it was snapped out of place. A lady, who I think is my mom, brought my clothes and waited in the hallway while I got dressed. I put this on and carefully folded up the hospital gown. I walked out the room and went to the waiting room where she as. She looked at me and got up. "Hayden? Honey. You okay?"

"Yeah mom." She gave me a hug and I groaned at the pain I feel in my neck. She pulled away before grabbing my hand with a smile. "Can we go ma? My neck hurts."

"Sure, sweetie." We walked out the hospital into the bright Sun and I squeezed my eyes shut as they adjusted to the new light. I opened them to see my family standing there. We walked over to them and they smiled at me.

"Hi, Hayden. I'm Javina but you call me Jay. And I'm James but can call me Jamie." The twins said hugging me. They pulled away and I smiled at them.

"Thanks guys for telling me your names since I don't remember."

"No problem."

I looked at Dad and he was just staring at me smiling. I walked over to him and gave me a hug. I hugged him back and he began crying. "Dad, why are you crying?"

"I'm just glad that my baby girl is alright." He pulled away and gave a kiss on the forehead.I smiled as his lips lingered there for a moment. He stopped crying and wiped his red eyes. "Come on. Let's go."

We got into the car and he started the engine. He pulled out the parking garage and drove off. I took out my phone and scrolled through my contacts. I saw Harry's name and wanted to call, but I couldn't talk to him just yet. I called Liam instead and he picked up after the first ring. "Hello?"

"Liam, it's Hayden." I heard something shatter in the background, causing me take the phone away from my ear. I put it back to my ear and spoke worryingly, "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah. I'm just shocked. Are you out of the hospital? I got to tell the others."

"No...Don't...Can you call Spencer and you both come over to my house since you both seem to be the mature ones out of the group." I said waiting nervously for his response. I just don't want the others making a big deal about my release.

"Ok." I hung up and put my phone away. Mom looked at me with a sad face and I was confused.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm just so happy you're alive." She smiled at me and turned around. Maybe my accident was a good thing not bad.

Liam' s P.O.V.

Hayden hung up and I put my phone away. I bent down and picked up the pieces of the glass I just broke. Why doesn't she want to talk to the others. Little did she know we all were staying after school, in the cafeteria, eating together. I walked back over to the others and Zayn looked at me, "Who was that?"

"My mom. She just wanted me to go pick up some groceries after school." I lied. I hate lying because it always makes me tell after I say a lie, but this time I tried to resist.

"Oh." He said looking at Emily. They were whispering someone to each other and I smile at how Emily finally told Zayn how she felt. I looked at Spencer and she smiled at me.

"Can I talk to you for a sec?" She nodded and got up from her seat. She walked over to me and we moved away from the others. I sighed and looked at her. "Hayden is out of the hospital and she wants only me and you to visit her."

"Why doesn't she want the others to know?"

"I don't know." I looked at the others and they were all smiling, except Harry of course. I looked at Spencer and frowned, "Let's go."

"Ok." We back to the group and grabbed our stuff. We began walking away when Harry stopped us.

"Where are you going?" He asked. This was thing he's said since we came back from visiting Hayden yesterday. He looked at me for a answer and I looked at Spencer.

"We're going back to my place." She blushed and everyone started making kisses noise and other inappropriate comments. "Bye."

I grabbed her hand and we quickly walked out of there. We walked out the school entrance to the parking lot and made our way to my car. We got in and I started the car engine. Spence looked at me and smiled, "That was something."

"I know." I back out of the lot and drove off. I glanced over at her and she was looking out the window. "I've been meaning to ask you something."

"Sure. What is it?" She said still looking out the window.

"Will you go to the dance with me tomorrow night?" I glanced at her and she was smiling, but not looking at me. "What?"

"Now you ask?"

"I'm taking that as a yes....right?"

"Yes." I smiled at her and she looked at me. Finally, I can have take Spencer to an event as my date. She looks so perfect sitting there with her hair blowing from the a/c. I'm going to show her the best time of her life.
