Louis' Girl

*Louis Pov*

"How is she?" Harry asked with Niall, Zayn, and Perrie following behind. "She is still sleeping." I said. I looked at the clock which read 1:19pm. I sighed. She's been sleeping since 9pm last night.

"Kayla?" Harry asked. "In the guestroom with Liam. "Do you think they're a thing?" Niall asked. "I think they will be." I replied.

As if on cue Jessie walks downstairs. She was wearing my sweatpants and a t-shirt that I put on her last night. Her face was expressionless but you could tell exactly what she was thinking. Her eyes are so puffy and broken. She is good for all this to happen to her.

"Jess-" Perrie started to say. "Don't." Jessie mumbled while walking into the bathroom. Then I heard the shower turn on. "Is she going to be okay?" Perrie asked while her voice broke. "Eventually." Zayn said.

"What happened to Chris and the rest?" I growled. "Chris is dead. The other 2 left the city. And you know what happened to the other one..." Harry informed. "I still can't believe she shot him. And I know that's one of the many things bothering her." I said while running my fingers through my hair.

They started talking a lot and I got lost in my thoughts. Until I heard screaming. I shot up from the chair and so did everyone else. Perrie ran to the bathroom door. "Jess it's Perrie, Please let-" "Go away!" she yelled. Iv'e never seen her like this. And it terrifies me.

A minute later she walked out. She was wearing one of her many lazy day outfits. She walked very fast towards the kitchen never picking her head up.

"What's going to happen to her?" Kayla said from the top of the stairs with Liam behind her. "I don't know." I replied while walking to the kitchen.

She was leaning against the counter while downing a liquor bottle. "Now that's no way to cope." I fussed while joking. I took the bottle from her hands and sat it on the counter. I put my hands on both sides of her holding myself up by the counter.

A tear rolled down her cheek. I brought my hand up to her delicate face and wiped it off with my thumb. "You need to tell me what happened those couple of days." I whispered examining her bruises. "Whatever you think is true." she replied looking down. I looked away trying to stop me from crying. It's like she read my mind. "it's not your fault." she croaked out.

I didn't say anything back but I know I should have protected her more. I underestimated Chris. "These bruises I had before. Nothing new." sh said holding up her arm. "The other thing.." she trailed. "That happened before and this time I was drugged and I don't remember a lot of details." she began. "I know you're upset about those things. But it's because of the man you killed isn't it?" I asked. She nodded her head and got shaky.

A flash of guilt washed over face. I took her hand. "Follow me." I said leading her back to the living room. "You protected Kayla. If you didn't she might of not been here today." I said. "Also which one deserved to live?" "Kayla." she whispered. Kayla gave her a sympathetic smile. "Also think about the other girls he hurt in the past. The people he would have hurt in the future." I said. She nodded her head.

"What you did was nothing wrong. It was pure bravery and heroism." I said. Kayla ran up and hugged Jessie tight. "I'm sorry." Kayla said. "Don't be! I wouldn't regret it for a second." Jess responded while holding her tight.
