Ch 41
Niall's POV
It was the fifth day on the boat and I was all alone. I hadn't seen Hannah at all since last night. I sat in my room watching TV and eating pizza.
I had to be honest, I was pretty miserable without her.
Our constant laughter and all the fun we had together. I missed it. I grabbed my guitar and started to write to get everything off of my mind.
I got down a good first verse and heard the door knocking. I hopped up, hopeful. I looked into the peep hole and sighed. It was Tyler, Steven, Chord, and Tom.
I opened the door.
"What's up?" Tyler said and they all entered the room.
"Not much." I lied and felt my insides turn. How could I get mad at her for that?
"Something must be up." Tom chuckled. "Your girl's not here."
I clenched my jaw and watched them all sit down.
"What happened?"
"I messed up." I confessed.
"You cheated on her, man?!" Chord asked.
"Nah! Nothing like that. I just... I messed up."
"Did you try to make it up to her?"
"I went to her door to apologize but she completely ignored me." I sighed.
"Damn. Must've been pretty bad then?" Chord said.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"This looks good, mate." Steven said, reading my lyrics and chords off of the paper. I'd always like him, even though he never said much.
"Thanks."
"You should sing it to her." He suggested. "Maybe then she'll forgive you."
"No, not for this she won't."
"Damn, dude! What did you do?" Tyler adjusted his snapback. "You need to get back with her.. Shit, if you don't, I will." he chuckled. But I didn't.
"What are you doing tonight?" Tom asked.
"Nothing. No plans."
"Oh. Let's go to the deck party then?"
"Yeah, I'm down." I said. "I'll meet you guys down there at ten."
"Alright, man."
"See you then."
"Keep your head up." they all dapped me and headed out of the door.
I sighed and started to get dressed. I looked in the mirror to do my hair. I looked completely than I had the last time I looked at myself. The last time I did that, I was preparing to see Hannah. I couldn't help but smile then, but now I just looked...depressed.
I did my hair and finished getting dressed.
Hannah's POV
Valerie and Sophie had come to my room and told me about the deck party. They noticed how down I looked, so I told them what happened and they were totally supportive. Thank goodness for them. I would be depressed AND staying in if they wouldn't have come.
I dressed up pretty nice and did my hair and makeup. At least I look pretty, I thought to myself. I couldn't let anyone else know that I was destroyed on the inside.
I got my key and then started to go out of the door.
Niall's POV
I headed out of my room and started to walk down the hallway, I heard a door close behind me and turned around. There was no one there. I continued walking to the elevator, hands in my pockets. All alone.
Hannah's POV
I had to go back into my room to grab my camera.
I turned it on and thought about deleting the pictures that were saved on there, but what would change? I'd still be in love with him. I brought the camera and started to go to the elevators.
Niall's POV
I reached the entrance of the lido and saw the guys. There were no girls to be seen though.
I nodded at them and walked over.
"Party hasn't started yet?" I looked at my watch, it was 9:50.
"Nah, starts at ten. You're early."
"Oh."
"Yeah, but can we not stand in the entrance? We look suspicious." Tyler said.
"You were the only one who drank, Tyler." Tom laughed. "We're all fine, except for you. But yeah, let's go."
Hannah's POV
I got to the entrance of the lido and heard my name.
"Hannah! We're over here."
Niall's POV
I turned around but I saw a lot of girls running to their friends. Any of them could named Hannah. I shook head and then turned back around.
Hannah's POV
I saw Valerie and the girls waiting for me and walked over to them.
"You look hot!" Sophie complimented.
"Haha, thanks." I smiled. If only I felt how I looked. "So, when does this party start?" I asked.
"Should be any minute." Alyssa said.
I refrained from looking around, just in case. I wanted to save the heartbreak for another night. Tonight was about me and my girls.
The music started and a speaker came on. "THIS IS THE 5TH DAY OF THE FAIR EXPRESS CRUISE, WE HOPE YOU'RE ENJOYING YOURSELVES. LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTEDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!" the DJ yelled. The lights went down and people rushed onto the floor.
"Let's go dance!" The girls pulled me onto the floor.
We danced to every song and laughed at each other. I saw Angela running over to us. We invited her into the circle and she started dancing immediately.
I was so grateful to have these girls. They could have ditched me for the boys but no, they stayed with me and helped me have a good time. I pulled Valerie and Sophie aside to thank them.
"Aw, no problem!" Sophie said.
"Yeah, that's what friends are for!" Valerie smiled.
It felt good to hear that because this entire trip I had been depending on Niall, but now that he wasn't here I had them. And they were just as great. We went back to dancing.
I saw Max walking over to us, Ally's hand in his. I looked at Reghan, who took a good look at Ally. "Isn't that Alexis' sister?" She asked me.
"Yeah!" I said.
"She's like 12."
"So is he." I laughed, her face went blank.
Niall's POV
I saw Max walking into the crowd with Ally, he stopped in the middle. There I spotted some girls dancing, but I couldn't tell who they were from behind except for Valerie. She was there.
"Max!" I yelled. He looked up and made eye contact with me, glared and then looked back down.
Damn it.
Hannah's POV
"You alright?" Max half smiled at me.
"Yeah." I smiled at him. I went over to hug him, he was so much taller than me.
"Good." He pushed me away. "Too much." He smiled.
I smiled back and continued dancing. I saw Max and Ally swaying and shook my head. Oh Lord.
"Anybody hungry?" I asked a few minutes later.
"Me!" Angela said.
"Let's go get some pizza!" I said and grabbed her hand to walk out.
Niall's POV
I have to go over there to just to see if she's there, I have to make this right.
"Hey! There's Valerie, and Krista, and the rest of them." I pointed. "Let's go.
"You sure?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah, I'm good. Let's go." I took a deep breath as we walked over there.
When we got over there I bit my lip, but she was nowhere to be found.
Hannah's POV
There was no line for pizza so we stood there and talked.
"Where's Niall?"
I bit my lip, "We aren't together anymore."
"What happened? You guys were perfect!" She said in her little accent.
"I thought so too." I smiled slightly, but just admitting that hurt so I changed my attitude. "But, I'm over it.. and him." I said.
She didn't look like she believed me but let me have my way.
We sat down to eat.
Niall's POV
Everyone else was dancing, except for me.
"I'm gonna head up." I told the guys. Max wouldn't even keep eye contact with me. There was no point in this.
"Alright. We'll be by later!" Chord said.
"Later!" Tyler said.
Hannah's POV
We started back out onto the dance floor.
"Do you want to go back to my room?" I asked her.
"Yeah, feels awkward not having anyone to dance with." She laughed. Then I saw that the boys had found the girls.
"Let's go up."
We got on the elevator and raced down the hallway laughing. When we got in the room, Angela felt around her pockets. "Oh shit, I can't find my key."
"Check the hallway," I said and headed into the bathroom.
Niall's POV
The elevators were so busy that I just took the stairs. It was only one floor.
As I turned around the corner, Angela ran into me. She made quick eye contact then went back to searching the hallway.
"Hey." I said to her. She turned slowly.
"Hi." She said, not looking at me.
"Do you know if she's in there?" I pointed down the hall.
"She is..." her voice trailed off.
"Thanks." I started down the hallway. I swallowed and knock on the door.
Hannah's POV
"Hold on, Angela, I'll be right there!" I heard a knock at my door.
I was taking off my makeup. I walked over to the door to open it.
