Ch 13
Hannah’s POV
The siren was loud and alarming. I heard screams coming from the hallway so I ran out looking around. I pounded on Niall’s door trying to see if he was there and if he knew what was going on. No answer.
People were running around me screaming and crying and grabbing the hands of their family members and rushing away. “TO YOUR SAFETY CABINS!” An employee yelled to everyone.
I started to run to the cabin but there was a mob trying to fit into the tiny door. People were fighting over life jackets and trying to push their kids into the room. There was no way I was going to get in that door in time for anything so I started running around. “Mom?!” I yelled. I thought I saw her in another crowd on the opposite side of the foyer area that lead to another safety cabin. She didn’t hear me. “Max!!!!!!!” I screamed, he was with her, and then I saw dad. He had a concerned look on his face, while mom was on the verge of having a panic attack. “DAD!!!!!!!” I yelled for him and then tried to reach them but no one could hear or see me and the mob was just as bad on this side. “Can anyone tell me what’s going on?!” I yelled, and an employee shoved a life jacket into my arms and pulled me into the line. I felt another enormous bump and the boat nearly capsized. There were screams and cries coming from all directions.
I looked around for someone, ANYONE I knew or found familiar. Then I saw Niall!
“NIALL!” I screamed, and then I saw him do it.
He kissed another girl goodbye. She looked familiar. She turned her head to me and it was Alexis. She looked at me and smiled evilly. I felt the tears start to well up in my eyes. “Niall!” I yelled again. This time he heard me but he only glanced and then went back to hugging and kissing Alexis goodbye.
“I can’t believe this!” I said aloud, but it’s not like anyone heard me or even knew what I was talking about. The boat was probably going to sink but that was the least of my problems. How could he?
I turned away and started to cry. Who gives a fuck now? I’m going to die anyway.
Then I saw Austin speed walking by. “Austin!” I grabbed his arm. He looked down at me with a sick, twisted look.
“What!” he yelled at me, and snatched his arm away.
“Can you help me? I don’t know what’s going on! And I can’t find my family and---“
“Why don’t you ask Niall?” he spat and then continued walking away.
I was a wreck. I couldn’t stop crying and then the boat was sinking and I had nobody. Not my mom, not my dad, or my brother. I didn’t have Austin, who I thought would be my friend regardless. And I didn’t have Niall.
Maybe I never had him in the first place.

I heard a shrill ringing sound and then I gasped and woke up. The phone was ringing and I was back in my bed in my suite.
