Ch 12
Hannah’s POV
“What are you talking about?” I said and sat down next to Austin.
“So, now you guys are together?” Alexis eyed Austin and I. No one said anything. “That means Niall is on the market now right?” she smiled, but I had nothing to say. “Hello?”
“What’s that? Cat got your tongue?” Renee started.
“More like Niall’s dick.” Alexis chimed in again and then they both started to laugh.
Now, I was mad.
“Go get laid!” I heard Tom say. “Just because no guys want any from you doesn’t mean you can bash on the pretty girls.” He laughed and then all of the guys gave him a round of high fives and fists.
“Nothing happened.” I said, I had to at least make that clear.
“Then why were you in his room?” Alexis snapped. Everyone looked at me, even Austin was searching for a good, clean explanation.
“We were just hanging out.” I said. “It’s none of your business anyway. But since you care so much.. If him and I ever do fuck, I’ll make sure you’re first to know.” I snapped back, grabbed my plate and headed back to my room. I heard “Ooh’s” coming from behind me and smiled a bit.
“Wait!” Austin caught up to me. “What are you doing tonight?”
“I don’t know yet. What’s up?”
“Well, there’s a club thing tonight for all of the teenagers on the boat. You should come so we can hang.” He smiled.
“Mmm.” I contemplated. “Okay, I’ll come.” I decided and then continued to walk towards my room.
“Okay, see you later.” He smiled hard and then walked back to the group. I looked back and all of the girls were gone but one. She seemed different from the rest and I heard her say her name was Angela. She was quiet and more introverted, almost nerdy-like. I looked back again and saw that she couldn’t keep her eyes off of Austin. “Hmph.” I chuckled to myself.
I got back to my room and then called my mom’s room again.
“Hello?” It was dad.
“Hey, Dad. Is mom around?”
“She’s asleep. She was worried sick when she didn’t hear back from you saying you made it in last night.” He sounded relaxed, and I heard the sound of a crowd cheering in the background. Sports television.
“Oh. Well, I was fine. Just out with some girlfriends. They really do know how to make a girl feel welcome.” I snickered at the irony.
“Well, that’s good, honey. Happy to hear you’re making friends. See you later. Love you, bye.”
“Love you too, dad. B----“ line was already dead.
I ate up and then decided to take a nap. I laid down and thought about what happened the night before until I fell asleep again.
Then I woke up to a huge bump and a familiar sounding siren.
Oh fuck. I thought in my head.
