"How about this one?" Me and Izzy decided to leave the creepy convo for later. Is it bad that I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing 'technical difficulties'?

"Devi!" I alerted my eyes to Izzy.

"What about this dress?" I examined the lace and black party dress. It perfectly complimented Izzy's tanned skin and chocolate colored hair. She has mile long legs that only look longer in the dress. Good thing she runs track.

"You have your thinking face on. Should I be worried?" I decided not to give anything away.

"Turn." She turned to the back and the dress fit snugly. Majority of the dress was black with black lace coating the underlayer. It came to mid thigh.

"So is it a winner?"

"It passes." I give her my best Simon Cowell look, which was being pleased but keeping a straight face. She exhaled and looked at her phone.

"Wow. An hour and we've only found my dress."

"Ugh. I know. Good thing Mom didn't give me a time limit."

"Right. Try this, and this, and... these." She heaped five dresses into my hands. I stared at the various colors, styles, and patterns.

"Well damn then..."

I was currently occupying the dressing room she was previously in. Before I tried anything on, my phone beeped.

I smiled to myself. He's so cute! Wait... bad boys aren't my type. I've just been you know... showing him around. How'd he even get my number?

I threw my phone to the bench behind me and stripped to my undergarments. I'm not uncomfortable, per se, but the cold air was freezing my blood! I examined a short, black, spaghetti strapped dress and tried it on.

Oh.... my.... God.... I look like chalk! Like a friggin' ghost! My hair might've been dark, but I didn't hold tans well and I looked ghostly pale.

"Come out! I wanna see!"

"No!" I stubbornly crossed my arms.

"Please?! It can't be that bad!"

"Oh, it is!" I'm never coming out in this. Ever.

"Please? I'll buy you Coldstone when we leave!" Coldstone? No fair!

"Fine." I sluggishly dragged myself out of the dressing room. Iz covered her mouth to stifle a laugh. I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes.

"It isn't funny."

"Mmm... nope." Her face turns red from holding her breath. She pressed her fist to her mouth but that only made her want to laugh harder. "BAHAHAHAHA!" She bursted into laughter as people stared at her.

"Ugh! You sicken me." I ran back into the dressing room.


We went through almost every dress in the store. Nothing complimented me at all. Not even a little.

"Just forget it. I might have something at home."

"No, we're going to find you an outfit!" She turned to me and gave me a creepy Kool-Aid man smile. She had an idea.

"What are you thinking?"

"Do you mind not wearing a dress?" Uh... no!

"Nope, why?"

"Ugh. Stop popping your p's and because. I found you an outfit."

"Seriously?" Maybe I won't look like hell at this party.

"Oh, yeah. I'm gonna give you an extreme make-over." Izzy grins evilly. Should I be afraid?

Yes, Devi. Be very afraid.

Hey guys sorry I took so long! I was at my choir concert and my crush stayed to watch me sing and he hugged me and called me his boo and AHHHHHH!!!
