All These Little Things
Chapter 4: Ready?
"Where are we going?" I asked, scared to know the answer.
"You'll see." He turned his head and looked at me, he squeezed my hand tighter. At this point I was scared. I wasn't scared to be with him but scared that I wouldn't be able to see what he thought was beautiful in me. What if I didn't see what he saw? Would he want to still try and show me? Or would he give up on me? No, he wouldn't give up on me. He is the kindest person I have ever known and I barely just met him and that says a lot.
He slows the car down and puts it in park. I looked to my right to see where our destination was.
"Sassy's Photography?" I asked while looking at him.
"Yes, I need to show you what it is I see in you and you need to show me what you see in the photos." He responed while smiling. He just wanted me to know I was beautiful. I liked this whole idea of him showing me what he saw in me. But he just met me. How is he
going to show me who I am if he barley knows me? I figured I just let him handle that part.
"Hi! Niall I'm assuming, yes?" The girl behind the counter asked.
"Yes, I'm here with.." Niall looked at me. I looked at him wondering why he didn't finish his sentence.
"This is going to sound really bad but," he looked in my eyes, "what's your name?"
I laughed uncotrollably! Most people would take that as an insult but I laughed knowing how hard he was trying but didn't know my name. I stopped laughing and responded with a huge grin on my face, "Cristina Andrade Bravo but it's Cristy for short." He looked at me and said "What a beautiful name!"
I blushed and he looked at the girl behind the counter, Vanessa was her name.
"I'm here with Cristina."
He looked at me and smiled.
"Right this way!" Vanessa showed us to a room filled with weird umbrella looking lights and had props scattering the room.
"You'll be meeting with John here in a minute! Get comfortable while you wait!" Vanessa walked away, leaving me and Niall by ourselves.
Niall automatically took interest in the props. He found a scubba outift and put on the goggles. He "swam" circles around me, making me laugh. He stopped infront of me. He plugged his nose and wiggled his arm while he slowly went down under the imaginary water. For some reason, this made me laugh more. He finally stopped messing around and looked at me with deepened eyes. "You're laugh is beautiful." He said. I snickered and looked away.
I have heard the word "beautiful" so many times now that I was actually starting to belive I was. Niall grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him. He smiled and slowly started to lean down. I knew what was going to happen next and excepted it. But right as our lips were going to collide, John walks in. Interupting Niall's and mine's moment.
"Hello gu- whoa! Interupting something?" John asked but he asked in a way that we knew that he knew the answer. Niall looked at him with and looked at me. "We all know the answer to that." I smiled and Niall smiled back.
"So what are we wanting to do today?" John asked, examining me like he already had something in mind.
"I just want pictures of her smiling and being herself." Niall responded so sweetly but he wasn't looking at John, instead he grabbed my hand and said it to me.
"Alright!" John practically shouted. "Come here Cristy." He grabbed my arm and directed me where I needed to be.
"Alright smile!" I did as I was told and he took multiple pictures at once. He kept giving me weird instructions but I still followed them. When he was done, Niall came up to me and grabbed me hand. Does he like me? I asked myself.
"You were born to be a model." Niall said.
"Alright, enough sucking up to me!" I say and playfully nudged his arm. I was actually starting to open up to him. This is how I normally act but you could imagine me being so shy! I was with Niall Horan! It was going to be awhile before I actually started to talk to him more! He made me feel like... a girl!
He smiled and lifted up one of his eye brows.
"A little fiesty, eh?"
I giggled as John walked into the room with a thumbdrive.
"Here let's find a picture you want and I will print it off for you." John said while plugging in the thumb drive and directing our attention to the computer screen. Niall didn't let me see the pictures so he got to pick the picture.
John said, "Excellent choice!" and bounded away like an excited child.
"Why wouldn't you let me see?" I asked.
"Because, I wanted to know your first response to the picture." He said matter-of-factly. We waited a good 5 minutes and John came bounding back with the picture, in an envelope, in his hands. He hands it to Niall and Niall hands it to me.
"You ready?" He asked like it was the biggest moment of my life.
"Ready!" I replied. I opened the picture not liking what I see but Niall seemed so fond of it.
