Cristina’s Pov
I woke up without Niall being in the room. I was a little sad that he didn’t fall asleep with me. Well, he said he wasn’t tired. I grabbed my phone that was buzzing. It was reminding me that I had messages. I looked at them, none important except one.
Mom: Hey! I’m excited to see you! I love and miss you!
I smiled at the text but then it made me realize that I was going to have Niall meet her today. Butterflies flew around my stomach. What if she thought you were actually a couple with Niall?
You sort of are.
My subconscious was telling me.
I was going to have to explain to her that we were JUST dating; I wasn’t going to make that call for Niall. I didn’t want to rush him into something that either I or he wasn’t ready for. Or maybe we are both ready and neither one of us wants to make the first move? Well, he’s famous. There wasn’t going to be much time for us. I still wanted to be with him, I cared about him and I really like him.
I decided to just ask if my mom was up for it.
Mom: Hey! Me too! I was wondering, do you want to meet someone? We’re not a couple but we are dating, just not together.
I waited patiently while she replied.
Mom: of course! What’s his name?
I smiled. She was up for it.
Me: I will explain everything when you get here because you’re not going to believe who it is!
I just had realized that my mom knew who Niall was. Well, she knew that I loved One Direction and everything about them but she didn’t know him. I hoped she didn’t flip out. If anything, she would be so excited that her daughter was going out with Niall.
I jumped when I heard a knock on the door. It was Niall.
“Sleep well?” He asked as he walked into his bedroom.
“Yea, just wished you would’ve fell asleep with me.” I said truthfully.
He chuckled.
“I told you love, I wasn’t tired.”
I smiled and giggled. I looked at my phone to see what time it was.
“Jesus! It’s already one?” I said, shocked that I slept so late!
Niall laughed slightly at my reaction.
“Yea, a good five hours! Don’t think you’re getting any sleep tonight!” Niall said as he sat on the end of his bed. I sat up to meet his face.
“Me either.” I said and pushed some hair out of my face.
“My mom is excited to meet you. Don’t worry. I told her that we weren’t really a couple but we were dating.” I said and Niall’s eyes glistened with water. Was he sad?
“Oh.” He said before looking away from me.
“What?” I asked, confused by his reaction. We were just dating, right? Did he want to be more than that?
“Nothing, just, maybe it wouldn’t be a bad idea that she thought that. You know?” He said shrugging it off like it was no big deal.
“So, let her think that we’re boyfriend and girlfriend?” I asked just to make sure I was hearing it correctly.
“Yea, no harm.” He stated.
“Um, okay?” I looked at his reaction. I had an idea with where he was going with this but I didn’t want to jump to conclusions.
He smiled before placing a kiss on my cheek.
“You mind staying here while I go out for a few hours?” Niall asked while holding my hand.
“Yes, if the boys were willing to have me.” I said, making sure I wasn’t going to be a burden to the rest of the boys.
“I already asked them, they don’t mind and besides, it’s my house.” Niall said while placing another small kiss on my cheek. He helped me out of the bed by moving the blanket off of me. He entwined our fingers and we walked down stairs.
“Afternoon Tina!” Louis shouted from his seat.
“Afternoon Louis!” I shouted right back.
“Off with you Niall! Go get it and come back!” Louis shouted at Niall and tried shooing him away.
“Go get what?” I asked, confused.
“You’ll see soon enough.” Louis said as he patted Niall’s back.
“Bye!” Niall said and waved at me and Louis.
“Bye!” I said before Louis could lock him out.
Louis turned around and looked at me.
“You hungry?” He asked. I put both hands on my stomach and felt it grumble from lack of food.
“yep!” I said and followed Louis who was walking into the kitchen.
He pulled out some junk food from the cabinet and as much as I loved junk food, I wanted real food. I didn’t want candy for lunch.
“I meant for real food.” I said as I watched Louis rummage through the cabinets for more candy.
“Oh, this isn’t real?” Louis said and stopped rummaging and looking at a box that contained some type of Angel food.
I giggled as he examined the box in his hands.
“I mean like meat or eggs or FOOD! Not candy!” I giggled a bit more.
“Well, I don’t know how to make that.” Louis said and shrugged his shoulders.
I looked at him and then went to the cabinets myself. There was literally nothing but junk.
Louis crept up behind me.
“Guess we’re going out. Come on.” He said while walking towards the door.
“What about Liam, Harry, and Zayn?” I asked while looking around for the other boys.
“Liam is out with a few friends. Zayn is with Perrie and Harry is with Ed. They got their own means of finding food.” Louis said as he stopped for a brief second.
“Okay, let me go fix my hair and I will be right back.” I said while running back up the stairs. I found the bathroom and thank god that Niall had a comb. I combed my hair and put it up in a messy bun.
I walked back down the stairs where Louis was waiting for me.
“Let’s go.” He said while walking behind me.
“Why aren’t you with El?” I asked remembering that Louis was dating her.
“She’s at school or something plus Niall asked me to hang with you so, here I am.” Louis said and gestured to himself.
“Alright, where we heading?” I asked.
“Whatever we want.” Louis said.

We arrived at a small place but Louis had mentioned it was Niall’s favorite place to eat.
Louis told me to sit at one of the tables while he ordered our food. He didn’t ask me what I wanted but I didn’t care. When I’m hungry, I’m not very picky.
“Alright.” Louis said as he placed a whole bunch a different food on the table in front of us.
“You could’ve asked what I wanted; it probably would’ve been easier.” I said while picking up some fries.
“Yea, but I figured whatever you didn’t eat, Niall would.” I laughed at what he said. It was true.
After a few minutes of bickering like kids about who got what, we finally agreed and began eating.
“Louis, you’re like a brother to me.” I said, not really sure as to why I had said it. I felt like it just needed to be put out there.
Louis was just a surprised as I was.
“You know, I feel like you’re a sister to me as well. So everything works out.” He said as he picked up his cup and took a drink.
“And sisters tell their brothers things like if they like a guy or wants a relationship with a guy right?” Louis said, trying to get me to talk about Niall.
“Yea I guess.” I said, not really sure if that was what went down. I don’t have any siblings except for step.
“Well, tell me! Who do you like?” Louis asked as he put both of his hands together.
“Louis, you know who I like.” I said while rolling my eyes at him.
“I have NO idea what you’re talking about!” Louis said sarcastically.
“Alright! I like Niall.” I said.
“Oh, what’s he like?” Louis said, still playing this little game.
“Well, he’s famous. He’s cute, sweet, nice. I couldn’t ask for a better guy. He makes me smile and believe in things I never thought were possible. I like him a lot and I just hope that one day we could be together. I know, it’s only been a week but I feel like I’ve known him forever.” I said, this time, Louis looked serious and not his playful self.
“He feels that way too.” Louis said.
“I know.” I said, not sure what to say now.
“Do you see yourself being with him?” Louis asked.
I thought about it.
“Honestly, yes! I do. I know he has his career but I hope, that if we were to take it further, he would set aside time for us. I mean, I like him and he’s the only guy I really care about on a relationship level. I hope, when he feels this way, he will tell me.” I said, hoping this wasn’t getting too mushy for Louis.
“Oh, he’ll let you know soon. I’m sure of it.” Louis said while locking eye contact.
“Thanks.” I said before we started eating.
We talked for about an hour before we realized that we still had to save some food for Niall. We put the rest of the food in a bag and drove home.

When we got home, Niall was turned so that his back faced us. He was fiddling with something. When he heard the car pull up, he put it away and turned around. He greeted us at the car and helped me out. He thanked Louis for taking me out.
“Anything for my sister.” Louis laughed and walked inside. I held onto the food bag.
“What you got there?” Niall asked.
I watched him smile.
“You know, food!” I said and giggled as he took the bag from my hands.
“Hold on.” Niall said as he rushed inside. I guess he didn’t want me to go inside. I obeyed and stayed outside. He came rushing back out, empty handed.
“Are we going somewhere?” I asked as I noticed he had my car keys in his hands.
“Yea, just a walk and talk.” He said and grabbed my hand.
He walked me to the car. He opened the door for me and let me in. He got in the driver’s seat.
“I thought cars made it so you don’t have to walk.” I said.
“Yea but I wanted to walk somewhere else.” Niall said.

The car ride was long before I realized Niall was taking me to a little park. It wasn’t the same park by my house but a smaller park that looked like it was almost abandoned.
He got out and let me out. He entwined our fingers and we started to walk.
“Cristy?” Niall said.
“Yea?” I replied.
There was a pause, like he was struggling to find his next words.
“Do you like me?” He asked. I stopped which caused him to stop.
“Niall, we went over this! I like you a lot! You know that!” I said and continued to walk.
“I know but I mean, do you like me more?” He said while looking over to me.
“I like you a lot?” I said, confused by how he wanted me to answer.
He smiled, realizing that I wasn’t getting it.
“You said you saw a future with me. Do you still?” Niall asked.
I looked up at him. My brown eyes met up with his blue eyes. I smiled. Why did he have to be so adorable?
“Yea, do you?” I asked, hoping I didn’t seem too desperate.
He smiled as relief washed over his face.
“Of course.” He said and reached in his pocket.
He stopped my walking and stood in front of me. He pulled out a little red box and held it in front of him.
He reached it out to me.
“Go ahead, open it.” He said while gesturing for me to open the cute little box.
I did as he said. I opened it to find the cutest little heart necklace ever. It was a ruby red and not too big to be flashy but just right. I smiled and looked up Niall.
“I love it!” I said while I let my fingers roam over the cute little heart. My insides grew warm.
“Let me put it on.” Niall said while he took the box from me.
I turned around and lifted my hair up so he had easier access to my neck.
“There.” He said and I turned around to face him.
I smiled brightly.
“Cristy, I like you a lot and I hope you like me the same way. I hope you accept this necklace and be my girlfriend?”
I was shocked! So this where it was leading! This is what Louis meant!
“I-“ I couldn’t even find words.
His smile faded.
I felt bad, he couldn’t tell that I was happily overwhelmed.
“Niall, yes! I would love to be your girlfriend!” I said and giggled.
“Really?” Niall said, his smile returned to his face. He cheeks grew pink.
“Yes!”
Niall laughed lightly before bringing me into a passionate kiss. Our lips moved in harmony and our insides beamed with happiness.
“You’ve made my day.” Niall said and smiled.
I giggled.
“You’ve made mine.” I said and kissed him on the lips again. I was now the girlfriend of Niall Horan.
