Niall’s POV
I looked down after I finished humming the song, just like Cristy had requested. I smiled. I couldn’t help it. She looked so peaceful. I couldn’t imagine anyone wanting to pick on her considering how beautiful and breath taking she is. When she first told me, I was shocked. It made me upset to think that there were people out there, picking on beautiful, innocent people.
Cristy was asleep on my chest. I brushed a strand of hair that was in her face, behind her ear. I wasn’t tired but I didn’t want to leave her there while she fell asleep. I told her that I would stay till she fell asleep but she was making it hard for me to leave. She had her head on my chest and her arm crossing over my stomach. I mean, I could easily move her but it was hard to move her without waking her up.
I decided that I was going to take it little by little. First up, was to move her arm that was across my stomach. I reached for it and slightly picked her arm up and slowly began to move the arm back to her left side. She groaned and made the next part easier; she just completely shifted her whole body onto the different side of the bed. Within seconds, she was lightly snoring. I chuckled at the sudden movements.
I leaned over to her and peered over her head, making sure she was fully asleep. I kissed her temple before getting off the bed and walked over to my door. I took a glance back at her and smiled. I really like this girl and she made me happy.
I slowly opened the door, trying not to disturb her. I was successful and I stepped outside my bedroom and closed the door quietly behind me.
“Hey Niall!” Louis practically shouted. I glared at him and put my index finger up to my mouth, gesturing for him to shut up.
“Oops! Sorry!” Louis said in a whisper.
“Tina’s sleeping?” Louis asked, pointing to the door.
“Yea, she’s tired from football (soccer).”I said walking back towards the stairs. Louis followed me down the stairs and into the living room.
I sat on the couch and stared at the blank t.v.
“What’s wrong?” Louis asked as he took the seat right next to me.
“Nothing.” I said looking at him confused. There was really nothing wrong, I just blanked out.
“Are you sure?” Louis asked, trying to take the conversation where it didn’t need to go.
“I think so?” I asked unsure of where he wanted to take this.
“Talk to me.” Louis said while nodding his head.
“About what?” I said even more confused. What was this boy talking about?
“It’s about Tina, isn’t it?” He said. I had no idea where he was going with this.
“Um, is it supposed to be?” I asked, trying to make him tell me what he wanted me to tell him.
“I’m just teasing you Niall! I just want to talk.” Louis said and shrugged his shoulders.
“Lad, all you had to do was ask!” I said while relief washed over my face. For a second, he had me thinking that he knew something that I didn’t want him to know. Except, the problem with that, is that I wouldn’t know what he knew.
“So, you really fancy this gal, huh?” Louis asked while putting his hand on my shoulder.
“Yea.” I said and let out a sigh. The boys were always harassing me about her. I didn’t mind it but I wanted to find out what feelings we had for each other before they went and assumed things.
“I like her too.” Louis said. I shot a glare at him. He likes Cristy?
“Excuse me?” I said, unsure of what he said.
“Not like that boy! Jesus! I would never do that to you! Let alone cheat on my own girlfriend!” Louis said, shocked with me assuming that he liked Cristy the way I did.
“I mean, I like her too. She’s a great person to fall back to on a hard day of being famous. You only find that in a few people Niall.” Louis said.
“Yea, I love being with her. She makes me happy Louis and I know I only known her for about a week now but I always want to be with her. I always want to do things for her.” I said. I love Louis but when he and I talked, the conversation always got very emotional and I hated him for his powers.
To clear things up, I really like Cristina. I always want to be around her. She makes me happy and I just don’t know what I would do without her. I thought my life was great but it got even better since I met her.
“That’s good mate! Treat her well and she’ll treat you well right back. Don’t let her go Niall, you’ve been so much happier since you met her. I don’t know if I could handle the old Niall!” Louis said and chuckled.
That’s when I realized that the boys even saw that I was happier when she was around or when we’re together. Together? Were we together, as a couple or were we working our way up to it?
I didn’t know what the answer was so I looked at Louis.
“What do we look like to you?” I asked. Hoping that he would clear up the situation for my mind.
“What?” He asked. He scrunched his face up.
“What do Cristy and I look like to you? A couple? Friends? What?” I asked again. I really liked Cristina, I knew she liked me back but when is the right time to take the relationship further?
Louis pondered the thought.
“Well, a mixture. You guys act like best friends but the lads and I know there is something bigger than that going on.” Louis said. I sighed as I realized he was correct.
“Yea but when’s the right time to take a step further?” I asked.
Louis put his hand back on my shoulder.
“When you feel it in your heart. I know, it’s cheesy but it’s true. You are famous though Niall. You have to think about what may happen to her if you guys got together and what it might do to your career.”
I looked around the room and dropped my head down.
“I think I feel it. I want to be around her and I want to take it further. I feel like we are already together even though we aren’t. I think the fans like her. They only started saying bad things to her when we went out for the first time. They’ve been nice lately. I understand that it might affect my career but I’m not going to put my love life on hold just because a few thousand girls think I sing well. I want to know what it is like to love and have someone to love. She comes along and I really, really, really, like her and for now, she’s the closest thing that I got to love. Who knows? Maybe one day I will love her, fully. I just don’t want to give up on something that is so close to being mine.” I said and brought my eyes back up to meet Louis’s.
He smiled.
“I’m glad to hear that mate.” He said and patted me on the back.
“Don’t let her go then mate.” And with that, he went outside. The other boys were waiting for him to start another game of football (soccer).
I sat there in the living room by myself. I really like her. I do. I just don’t know what she’ll say if I try to make her mine.
Well, there’s only one way to find out.

Notes

I know I don't do Niall's perspective much but I decided to mix it up a bit and when I want to explain how he's feeling instead of Cristy, that's when I will use his side. It also brings up some questions! It was hard to do it but hoped you liked it!
