"C'mon Harry! Pick up your bloody phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed. I tried the others and none of them answered or even called back. Furious I shoved my phone back into my pocket and clutched the steering wheel until my knuckles were white. A small whimper escaped from the back and I loosened my grip slightly. 'Calm down Woody...' I thought, 'Chances are you're scaring the crap out of your cousins...just breathe... Breathe.'
Loki then barked and I felt terrible. During all the commotion I had completely forgotten about him. I began to pet his soft head subconsciously, thinking somewhat clearly for the first time in about an hour. My thoughts were a muddled mess that were constantly in motion. The ones that circled the around the most wer these, 'why didn't the lads answer their phones? Are my parents still alive? We're there any other survivors? Did the news figure out what happened?' I gasped and slammed on the brakes, a cold sweat building on my neck. "The news..." I muttered, "The NEWS!!!!!!!!!! That's it!!!! Of course!!!!!!!!"
"What? The news? What are you talking about Liam??" (y/n) asked.
Relization dawned on me and for a few minutes I didn't breathe. "They think I'm dead...." I said thunderstruck. "They think I'm dead (y/n) and (y-bff-n)! I'm dead and they won't answer...."
"Liam what da' flip are you talking about?? Last time I checked you weren't dead and what do you mean they won't- Oh! Oh....Oh-no. This isn't good..."
"We need to find them (y/n)!! We have to find them right now!!" I practically screamed. Slamming my foot onto the gas, I sped down the road with two goals in mind.
1) Get cousins home safely and
2) Find the boys before its to late.
I didn't get far; about five minutes later a deer ran into the road. Swerving violently to the left I managed to avoid the deer but as I was correcting my course I crashed into the way too close guardrail. Blackness seeped into my vision as I hit the headrest. I sat there stunned for a minute or two and the blackness deepened. Shaking it off I muttered, "Don't black out DD!! You can't black out, your cousins need you! You cannot fail them!!!"
I then heard a small moan of pain from the backseat. Cursing softly I fumbled with my seatbelt and crawled into the back. (y-bff-n) was only dazed, thank goodness, but (y/n) was unconscious and bleeding heavily from a shoulder wound. I cradled her bleeding form in my arms, crying. This was all my fault! I did this to her! I was so careless and wrapped up in myself I didn't even think about what I was doing...I had to fix this, it was my responsibility to get her and her sister home safely.
Rmeoving my hoodie, I began tearing it into strips, shivering slightly. Then, being as careful as I could, I began to wrap her shoulder. I managed to slow the flow of blood but not stop it. (to my regret.) after I finished, I gently placed her back not the floor and said, "(y-bff-n) stay with her. I'll be right back."
"W-Where are you going?"
"To find help." I said as I began to scoot toward the door.
"Liam..."(y-bff-n) said.
"Yes?" I asked turning around.
"Just...Just please come back! Be extremely careful and come back." Her lip trembled and tears slid from her eyes.
Tears prickled my own ut shoved them aside and gave her a fierce, reassuring hug. She sobbed onto my shoulder, clutching me in her own hug, and I rubbed her back, "Shhh it's okay. I'm right here. Don't cry sweet one I'm right here... Now listen to me (y-bff-n), I will always come back for you. Always."
Tearfully I felt her nod and then she let me go, drying her tears. Giving her one more hug I slipped out of the car and began to ran toward the nearest town.
While I ran, had the strangest urge to run into the woods. I just somehow knew that help was in there. Not knowing exactly why, I changed my course and ran into the leafy grasp of the forest. Searching and calling for a miracle.
