I don't think you destroy them again. I'd like to think you to want to keep us on our toes. You could destroy them if you wanted to some authors do because they have that power and don't want to see there characters happy. Like I've been also reading another multi. story series like Fools Gold/Always, called Close as Strangers/Continnum/Chaos and the Calm which is a Luke Hemmings story on 5 Seconds of Summer Fanfiction site. The first two stories the author had sad endings for her characters. Don't get me wrong it's a good story and she is a good writer like you just sad conclusions. But your not like that at all. :) :D
