Okay, I just finished Chapter 2. I was getting really into this...until you basically down played attempted rape. Just because it didn't truly happen, doesn't mean that it's not a serious situation, and that it can be joked about or simply forgotten. Maybe you bring it up later on (you probably do), but that's still some fucked up shit right there. There are people getting raped in real life, and they feel that they can't come out about it. You're basically glorifying that fact in the second chapter. When someone gets raped-or even if it's attempted-it follows them until the day they die. For some people, it morphs their views and changes them for the worse. I've dealt with this shit in real life, and so I find this incredibly upsetting.
I was surprised to see this in my updates list:)! loved the update (had to re-read the last chapter to get into it), glad to see this story return :D
Um. Wait no. I don't see a button for chapter 29... That means I have to read a different fanfic. Nooooooooo D; UPDAAATTE

I'm so sorry if you feel this way. I didn't intend to down play attempted rape at all. I have dealt with it too, and I was just trying to write how some people are in shock and how others around them don't understand what it actually means for the person. It is mentioned later on, and it is not really forgotten. It is also one of the main events that shape the main character (Addie) and I try to show how she grows from it further on.
I completely understand you and am very sorry you had to deal with that. No one should deal with rape, or attempted, or be sexually (or otherwise) harassed in any way because it's sick and the word 'no' should be taken very seriously. No one deserves it.
Again, I apologise if this was not addressed and communicated the way I thought it out. Thank you for bringing it to my attention though <3
