Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon

6

Niall paced back and forth as he waited for Aylie to arrive. It was only five minutes after six but he knew she was able to leave for the weekend at five. Niall checked his watch again; seven after six. Niall ran his hands through his hair and went to double check all of the rooms, making sure they were all clean for Aylie's visit.
Niall shook his head at himself as he wandered the house. He knew that Aylie wouldn't care about how clean the house was. She was just going to be happy to get away from Dublin for the weekend and be with him. Niall walked into the bedroom to make sure the bed was made and everything was in it's place. He sat down on the bed, hoping that he'd be able to distract himself from the time. It was now only fifteen after six. Aylie would be arriving at any moment. Niall's head shot up when he heard a car pull into the drive. He shot up from the bed and to the window. Aylie had arrived. He raced down the stairs, wanting noting more than to see her beautiful face and hold her close.
"BABE!" Niall shouted as he came down the stairs with lightening speed. "Babe!" He hollered again, grabbing Aylie by her waist and hoisting her into the air. Aylie giggled and wrapped her legs around Niall's waist. She hugged his neck tightly before he meshed his lips to hers passionately. "I missed you so much." Niall panted into the heavy kiss.
"I missed you too." Aylie replied just as out of breath. Niall set her down on her own feet but still held her body tightly to his. "Oh, it's so good to see you." Aylie murmured, breaking the kiss. She cupped Niall's face sweetly.
"Now that you're here. Would you like to go to the pub and meet some of my friends?" Niall inquired. The boys had made a point to say they would all be at the pub.
Aylie smirked and shook her head, "No." Niall appeared disappointed but before he could say anything else, Aylie kissed him teasingly. "I have better plans." Aylie meshed her mouth to his with fire again. Niall grinned into her kiss before happily dragging her up the stairs to the bedroom.

"Niall." Aylie giggled as Niall teased her skin with light kisses. Niall chuckled against her burning flesh and kept teasing her with his gentle lips. Aylie caressed his back with soft, sweeping fingers as he explored her body. Aylie laughed again when she felt Niall's hardened appendage grazing against her warm and ready center. Niall was definitely in a playful mood as his teasing became more intense. Niall and Aylie were brought out of their world when Aylie's phone began to ring loudly on the nightstand. Aylie looked over at the small device curiously, wondering who would be calling her. Niall grunted but kept kissing all over Aylie's neck and chest while she picked the phone up from the table. She groaned and flopped back into the pillows.
Niall lifted his head and kissed her cheek, "Who is it, babe?"
"Kerrianne." Aylie murmured, still glaring at the phone. She buried her hand in Niall's hair as she threw the phone back onto the nightstand. Their lips met in a passionate kiss, almost as if they were trying to devour each other. Aylie smiled as Niall's hand slid up her side slowly. Aylie and Niall both groaned in frustration when Aylie's phone began ringing again.
"Just answer it." Niall murmured against her neck. "It won't stop until you do." Aylie nodded and picked up the phone from the nightstand once again.
"Hello?" Aylie answered with a soft voice. She was trying to hide the fact that she was annoyed and very turned on by the man she was in bed with.
"Aylie! Where are you?" Kerrianne hollered into the phone. "It's getting late and Rorke is worried about you. Are you forgetting that you had somewhere to be?" Kerrianne asked with an attitude. Aylie slapped her head and groaned softly. "You forgot about family dinner, didn't you?" Kerrianne asked her calmly.
"Yes. I did, Kerrianne." Aylie replied with a small voice.
Kerrianne sighed, "Alright. I'll tell Rorke you forgot but are on your way."
"Um, actually..."Aylie began.
"Aylie Maeve." Kerrianne scolded her. "You have to be here. It's important tonight."
"Kerri, I'm more than an hour away. I had made plans before this came up. I've been so excited to go on my mini vacation that I just forgot. I don't want to drive back just for dinner." Aylie confessed. Niall grinned and continued his loving assault on her neck with his lips. Aylie struggled to suppress her moans as Kerrianne gave her a lecture. "Kerrianne, please will you cover for me this one time. Please." Aylie begged, wanting to get her off the phone so she and Niall could do what they wanted. Aylie had a moment of weakness suddenly. She gasped quietly, "Ni."
"Aylie!" Kerrianne nearly squealed. "Are you with a man?" Aylie hid her face in Niall's neck, realizing what she had done. "Aylie." Kerrianne sounded pleased.
"Kerrianne, please. Will you cover for me just this once?" Aylie begged her friend once again.
"Alright, alright. I'll tell Rorke you're with the new boyfriend." Kerrianne giggled, obviously happy for Aylie.
Aylie sat up quickly, "NO! No." Niall looked at Aylie with worry. "You cannot tell Rorke. OR anyone for that matter. Please." Aylie's begging continued and it made Niall feel a little uneasy. "Kerri, just cover for me, please."
Kerrianne sighed, like she was worried as well, "Alright. I won't tell. But expect details when you get home, my love." Aylie agreed even though she had no intention of sharing. "He better be worth it." Kerrianne grumbled.
"Thank you, Kerri." Aylie sounded as grateful as she felt. All she wanted was time with the man that made her feel normal again.
"You're welcome." Kerrianne stated warmly before hanging up on Aylie. Aylie sighed and turned her phone completely off. She didn't want any more interruptions while she was with Niall. Aylie threw her phone onto the floor and smiled up at Niall.
"Come 'ere." She murmured, wrapping her arms around his neck again. Niall leaned forward and kissed her gently, taking his time to feel every single inch of her mouth. Aylie's fingers danced over Niall's back again, eager to entice him. She wanted to rid herself of the feeling of impending doom. Aylie knew that Kerrianne would never keep the secret to herself. Hopefully, Kerrianne would go to Trinnie before anyone else.
"What's wrong, Aylie?" Niall asked backing out of the kiss. He could feel that her mood had changed. She was no longer as playful as before and her kiss was deeper, the way it was when she'd had a bad week. "Please, tell me what's wrong." Niall murmured, pushing her hair away from her face. Aylie shook her head quickly. "It's okay. Tell me." Niall smiled, placing a sweet kiss to her cheek.
"Nosy ass family." Aylie giggled. Niall frowned, knowing there was more to it. "Just wanna be alone with my guy and they want me to come back for something that will only take an hour." Aylie informed him. Niall nodded slowly, understanding she was frustrated. Niall moved from between Aylie's legs and rested his body next to hers. Aylie frowned and kept her arm around Niall's neck.
"Talk to me." Niall smiled, resting his chin on her chest. Aylie lifted her eyebrow at his request. "Tell me about your family. Why don't you want them to know about me?" Niall clarified.
Aylie grimaced, "I just don't want them to know about you yet. This is still new and I don't want them to be pushing family obligation at me just yet. I don't want them to push it on you. You don't have to deal with them." Niall nodded, understanding what she meant. "Ever since my dad died family has been a...turbulent thing. I just don't want you to get caught in it, that's all." Aylie spoke another half truth.
"When did your dad pass?" Niall inquired with a gentle tone.
Aylie looked at Niall curiously, "You really wanna talk about this now?" Niall nodded slowly, pressing his forehead to her temple. "I was seven. He died in an accident." Aylie informed him, a sad expression on her face. "Then we moved to Dublin."
"What kind of accident?" Niall inquired, his voice still sweet and soft, not wanting to push too much.
"The kind where your mother cries over not having an open casket." Aylie murmured sadly. Niall stroked her face with a gentle thumb. "It's been years and she's still completely numb I think. It was so quick. One day, he left and six hours later we get a call and he's gone."
"Was it a work accident?" Niall was full of questions.
Aylie nodded slowly, "And then my granddad was like the man everyone went to to fix things. He wanted to fix everything for my mom and I. My mom wasn't having it. I think even though it was genuinely a work accident, I think my mom blamed my granddad just because she needed someone to blame."
"Shit." Niall whispered. "So that's why you moved? To get away from family?" Aylie nodded slowly. "I'm so sorry, baby." Niall murmured, caressing her cheek with his thumb again. He kissed her softly and held her tightly.
Aylie quickly wiped her face of tears, "Can we not talk about this anymore?" Niall nodded quickly, apologizing as he kissed her face again. "I love talking about my dad but I hate talking about how he died." Niall agreed again, understanding her sadness. He cupped her cheek, gently, smoothing his thumb over her skin. "I love your hands." Aylie stated, gripping Niall's wrist gently. "I love how big they are, the way they look and feel." She explained.
"You're changing the subject." Niall informed her.
Aylie shook her hed, "No, I'm not. I just wanted to tell you." Niall shook his head slowly, not believing her. "I also like this too." Aylie murmured, touching the hair on his chest gently. Niall just gazed at her with amused eyes. "And these." Her hand smoothed over his arm. "These too." Aylies fingers brushed over Niall's lips.
"You are definitely changing the subject, babe." Niall chuckled when Aylie pulled his head down for a kiss. Aylie just grinned up at him before placing her lips on his lovingly. Niall broke out into laughter as Aylie's stomach interrupted their passionate kiss. "Come on, babe. Let's get dinner." Niall said, sitting up. He grabbed his button down shirt from the floor and handed it to Aylie, "Here, put this on." Aylie slid into it with no objections.

Aylie sat on the kitchen counter just watching Niall try to prepare dinner. He'd refused any of her help, insisting he could do it. She smiled when he turned to her with an accomplished, cheeky grin after closing the oven door.
"Now, it's just a matter of waiting." Niall informed her. Aylie grinned and pulled him closer by his strong arm. Niall happily stood between her legs, winding his arms around her waist. His lips met hers tenderly, a smile gracing both of their faces again. "I'm so happy you're here, babe. I missed you all week." Niall murmured.
"What if I have an idea?" Aylie asked, wondering how he'd react to the idea she'd had since sitting on the countertop. Niall lifted his eyebrow at her. "I've missed you far too much these weeks that we're spending apart. Seeing you for three days isn't enough." Niall agreed with a single but enthusiastic nod. Aylie giggled, "I was thinking: how would you feel if I spent the whole week with you? Instead of going home Sunday night, I just stay? I'll work from here during the day, or just while your recording and writing. You'll come home and we'll have dinner then make love all night."
Niall's grinned brightened, "Stay with me. I can show you more and you can come to the studio with me." Aylie nodded quickly, thrilled that he wanted her to stay. Niall captured her mouth with his own passionately. "I'm not gonna lie." Niall began. "Spending a week here will make me used to sleeping beside you."
"I'm already used to it. I miss it when I go back to Dublin. I just miss you. Your smile, your laugh." Niall's face lit up again at Aylie's words. "I love your laugh." Aylie murmured like she had in bed. "It's so honest and loud. It's probably one of my favorite things about you." Niall's smile disappeared as she spoke. "Don't know a lot of men who laugh like you do. Every man I know in Dublin has this hollow laugh, their smiles don't reach their eyes. But you..." Aylie caressed his cheek with her thumb. "Your laugh is astounding. I love it." Niall kissed her tenderly once more. "And those eyes." Aylie giggled softly, her thumb sweeping over Niall's cheek bones. "Such bright, happy, loving eyes." Niall closed his eyes as Aylie leaned forward. She kissed his eyes lightly, showing more tenderness than ever. His hands began to caress her thighs slowly. "These slow hands." Aylie giggled, grabbing his wrists. Niall grinned, continuing to caress her skin slowly and gently. "So strong." Aylie blushed. "I can feel all of the callouses from your guitar and playing golf. Your hands are also so soft. The way you touch me..." Aylie moaned quietly against Niall's cheek. His grip on her thighs became a little tighter. Niall took a couple steps back, leaning against the island with his arms folded over his chest. "Niall?" Aylie was completely confused by his distance.
"I'm going to burn the dinner you very much need if I stay close to you." Niall admitted, his tone gravelly and almost winded. Aylie giggled again and leaned toward him.
"Baby." Aylie snickered, knowing that her breasts were peaking out of the shirt just enough to entice Niall. Niall lifted his eyebrow at her, wondering what had gotten into her all of a sudden. Aylie reached out and grabbed him by his t-shirt, "Come here." Niall returned to her embrace without a fight. "Kiss me." She whispered, chewing on her lip innocently. Niall happily meshed his mouth to hers, nearly devouring her whole.
"HELLO!" A loud voice came from the main hall of the house. Niall and Aylie both groaned. They just wanted to be alone for the night. "Niall!" The voice called out again. Niall tried his best to ignore the voice, hoping they would go away if he didn't answer. "Niall, I know you're home!" The man called out again, entering the kitchen. "Whoa!" The man yelped, seeing Niall and Aylie wrapped around each other at the counter.
"Get out!" Niall shouted quickly. He pulled Aylie closer so his friends wouldn't see her almost naked. "Out!" Niall hollered again, motioning to the door. Aylie giggled and pressed her lips to Niall's neck just under his ear, that place that he loved to feel her.
"You were supposed to come to the pub and when you didn't show we got worried." The blonde man in the doorway stated.
"I said maybe." Niall sounded angry with the men in the house. Aylie wrapped her arms around his middle and held him closer, hiding her face from his friends. "C'mon, babe." Niall murmured as he lifted her from the counter. He was still trying to hide her half naked frame from his friends. "Go get dressed." He kissed her lips lightly, trying to keep it innocent in front of his friends.
"Going out dressed? At home dressed?" Aylie inquired, not sure if they were leaving or not.
Niall grinned, "At home." Aylie nodded and let Niall take her hand. "I'll deal with you guys in a minute." Niall happily wrapped his arms around Aylie's waist from behind and walked away with her. He wasn't sure how he was going to deal with the men in his house but he was livid with them. He wanted Aylie to himself for a while. There was so much he still wanted to learn about her, but he knew that he'd never get anywhere with his friends around.
As he walked her to the bedroom, Niall realized that Aylie was the only when we're alone girl. She'd never show her truest of colors with his friends or even with hers. It seemed as though she was that way with Trinnie as well. When he spoke to Aylie about Trinnie it was evident they were close but that even Trinnie was kept at an arms length from her. Niall decided he had to get rid of his friends. As much as he wanted her to know his friends, he wanted to know her more. Almost a month of only seeing her on the weekends, didn't leave time for the deep conversations he wanted to have with her. He knew they'd extended her trip for a week but he still felt as though he needed to make the absolute most of it. Niall wanted to know the girl clinging to his side inside and out. He had to. He had the strong feeling already that he was falling for her and he was falling hard.
"You want me to get rid of them?" Niall asked Aylie with a tender smile as they came to the bedroom door.
Aylie giggled, "Niall, I'll be here all week now."
"I know." Niall shrugged. "But it's your first night here, kind just want to be alone with you."
"Alright." Aylie beamed, wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning into him. "The get rid of them. I wanna be alone with you too. I missed you too much to not be cuddling all night long." Niall kissed her with fire. It wasn't a lustful kiss. It was passionate but tender, like he was telling her already that he loved her. Aylie backed out of the kiss with a hum and her eyes closed still. Niall gazed at her with curiosity. Aylie didn't say anything or even open her eyes. She tucked her head under Niall's chin and held him tightly.
"I better go shoo the boys from the house." Niall whispered as he caressed her back in a comforting manner. Aylie nodded slowly and left his embrace, shrinking into the bedroom without a single word. Niall inhaled deeply and slowly, wondering what happened in her head to change the mood between them yet again. He wanted to figure it out but to do so he had to get the lads out of his house.
