When my head hits the pillow, I'm off to sleep...

~The Next Morning~


I wake up from the buzzing alarm for my phone.
I groan and stand up.
"Lannaaaa. Today's schooollll. Are you excited?!?!?" Charlie bursts into my room.
I nod my head.
"Fucking hell yeah."
I get up and dress myself into some clothes.
I do my makeup and pack my bag.
When I walk downstairs I see that the rest is already eating.
I just grab an apple and wait for Charlie to finish her breakfast.
"Ready?" She asks when she walks to me.
I nod my head.
"Let's go." I sigh.
I walk with Charlie to school as I take a deep breath. This will be the first time that I see Calum again...
Well, not technically, but I really have to face him today.
We walk for a while in silence before she begins to talk.
About how lonely it was without me, how much she missed me, how school was, how she was afraid that I wouldn't wake up, etc.
When we reach the parking lot she stops talking and we walk in silence to the building.
I get stares from all kinds of people. Nobody thought I would be at school already.
I see Ashton smile quickly give him a light smile.
He smiles back and turns around.
I look around him and see that Calum and McKenzie are making out in front of his car and Ashton talks to Luke.
I roll my eyes and turn my attention back to Charlie.
"What's my first class?" I ask.
"Math."
Great, a class with Calum.
"Thanks."
I feel two arms slip around me and smile.
"Dylan." I smile.
"Lana." He smirks into my ear and turns me around.
I turn my head and see Charlie wink at me and walk away.
I smile as I turn back to Dylan.
We walk to his car, which is across Calum's car.
"How're you feeling?" He asks.
"I'm doing fine." I smile and pull him closer.
I lean against the car as I pull my lips slowly to his.
When I pull back he chuckles.
"Can we do that again?" He whispers.
"Sure."
I pull him closer again and kiss him.
We start making out pretty quickly before the bell rings.
I sigh and he pulls back.
"I'll see you in break?"
I nod my head.
He smiles and peck my lips one more time before walking away.
I smile softly and start walking to my next class too.

When I'm in my math class I take my seat totally in the back... I have this class with Calum.
I see him walking into class and surprisingly he takes his seat next to mine.
I decided to ignore it and focus on the teacher coming in.
"Lana, you're back." She smiles.
I nod my head.
"How are you?" She asks.
Just begin the lesson.
"I'm great, thank you." I smile politely.
"I was really worried when I heard about you. If you need anything, or if you wanna go, just tell me, okay?" She smiles again.
I glance at Calum and see that he needs to hold in his laugh.
I nod my head again and smile.
She smiles back before returning to her lesson.
"Alright class. Take your seats, we're going to start."
I look at Calum but he's still chuckling.
I stare at him.
Why the actual fuck did he sit next to me?
Suddenly he turns to me.
"Lana.. I just wanted to say that.. I'm sorry... For knocking you into the hospital, I didn't mean to do that..." He whispers.
"Please, it's not like you actually care, so save you fucking apology..."Before I even realised what he said I already replied.
"Exactly I don't. But McKenzie wants me to."
"So?"
"So, I apologised, didn't I?"
I nod my head.
"Could you tell McKenzie that? She doesn't believe me."
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't care about you. Or your flirts."
"Why do you hate me so much?"
"I didn't even know why you hated me until I woke up in the hospital."
"You didn't know?"
"No, I didn't know anything. Not about Dean being my brother or about my parents killing your family. I didn't know. And I was about to apologise to you, but now, I don't care."
He's quiet and I don't look at him anymore.
I focus on the teacher until the lesson is over.
When I have break I look for my gang.
"Lana!" I hear McKenzie.
Oh god no.
She taps my shoulder and I have no choice and turn around.
I show a fake smile.
"Why don't you come and sit with us?"
"I'm sorry, I'm just trying to find my friends..." I smile.
"C'mon, you can sit with us.."
"Really, you don't have to.."
"Just C'mon." She grabs my arm and leads me to Calum's table.
"Kenzie..." I sigh but she points at one of the chairs.
I sigh again and take a seat while putting my food down.
"Happy?" I ask.
She smiles and nods her head.
She takes her own seat next to Calum and everyone stares at me.
We're quiet. And I get why. I mean, normally they would discuss some gang stuff, but they can't when I'm here.
"So, how's Charlie?" Ashton asks.
All the guys look at him and Calum even glared.
"What? it's called being polite." Ashton says.
"She's fine Ashton." I smile.
"How's Dylan?" Luke smirks.
When everyone looks at him, he tries to be offended.
"What? It's called being polite." He imitates Ashton.
"Why do you wanna know how Dylan is?" I ask.
"Because I saw you two making out this morning."
I'm quiet and look at Luke.
"You and Dylan... Made out?" Ashton asks while he glances at Calum.
"That's none of your business."
"You practically swallowed each other." Luke smirks.
I roll my eyes.
"Are you together?" Ashton asks.
"No." I give him a look like he just said the weirdest thing ever.
"Well, uhh, why don't we go and do something together after school?" McKenzie tries to change the subject.
"No way." I immediately reply.
I regret it immediately and sigh.
"I'm sorry Kenzie.. I didn't mean to say it like that.. I just have a lot going on right now." I shake my head a little.
"It's okay Lana." She smiles.
"Uh.. Maybe it's better if I just go and find my friends." I stand up and walk away, leaving my lunch.
When I find them a table or two away I sigh in relief.
"Hey Sunshine." Dylan smiles and I smile back.
"What were you doing over there?" He nods to Calum's table.
"Kenzie."
"Ow."
I already told them everything about McKenzie.
When I glance at Calum's table I see them stare me.
I take my my seat next to Dylan and he immediately plants a kiss on my lips.
I smile and he moves his plate to mine. I smile even brighter and give him a little kiss on his cheek before beginning to eat.
"Get a room." Emily comments.
"I think it's cute." Charlie smiles.
I see Dylan smile as I finish the food that was still on the plate.
When School's over I was going to walk back home with Charlie when she says that Ashton wanted to meet her. I smirk, already knowing what he's going to say and she leaves me.
"Sunshine." Dylan smiles behind me.
"Dylan." I turn around to face him.
"You can drive home with me."
"You don't have to, I'll walk."
"C'mon, just let me drive you."
I sigh and he smiles while he reaches for my hand.

"It's just totally fine Sunshine." He smiles as he lays an arm around and we walk to his car.
