Harlie:

I quickly jolted upright panting. That same nightmare for the fourth night in a row. That gang leader everyone knows exists, but no one know’s anything about him. It scares me. He will show up in the most random places, but he’s a silhouette and I can never make an image for him.

I shivered and tried my best to shake off the spooky feeling. I yawned and looked at the cock. It was 2:25. I didn’t have to be up till 7:00. I groaned and crawled back under the covers and went back to sleep.

The alarm rang and I threw the covers off, then shutting off the alarm. I got up and walked to my closet. I chose a cute pair of black skinny jeans and a “I’d Rather Be Sleeping” shirt. I french braided my hair and left my face bare of make up.

I grabbed my gym bag, back pack, binder, and took my phone off the charger before walking down the stairs. I saw my dad downstairs with my mom, who had my 4 year old sister in her lap.

“Morning.” I said as I grabbed an apple and kissed my sister on the cheek before sitting down. I took a large bite of my apple.

“Good morning, beautiful.” My mom smiled and my sister laughed.

“Morning Harwee!” She giggled. I smiled at her and she jumped off mom’s lap and into my arms.

“Morning Casey, how’s my little sister?” I said as she hugged my legs.

“I got a new toy!” She said as she picked it up. It was a MLP toy and it had clips in its hair.

“Oh! It’s so pretty!” I said, and she ran off to go play. “I’m heading off to school, bye mom, bye dad. Love you guys!” I said as I grabbed everything and ran outside. I got into my car and blasted Hold Back The River by James Bay for the five minute drive.

I shut the car off as I put it into park in front of the school. I grabbed everything and threw away the apple, and was greeted with a hug by my best friend Emma as soon as I walked in.

“You scare me every day! You are so weird.” I said as I walked silently to my locker. “Why do you get here so early anyway?” I asked.

“Because, goofball, I have a surprise for you!” She said as I walked up to my locker, opening it and shoving my gym bag inside of it.

“Like what?” I walked across the hall to the art room and put down my bag and binder.

“Come on! I got to get them!” She tugged my arm and Ms. Belle shot me a smile. I ran down the deserted hallway to Emma’s locker. She opened it and pulled out two license looking things. She handed one to me.

“What is this?” I asked as I looked at it.

“A fake I.D., silly.” She whispered.

I looked at the front and saw a fake name, Carley Alena. “I can’t take this! My parent’s would flip! Especially with that gang person that no body can find any facts about!”

“Oh, sush! You will be fine! Trust me on this one!” She said, and then the bell signaling first hour rang and we parted ways. I shoved the fake I.D. in my back pocket and walked into art class, taking my seat in the front.

It went by too fast for my liking. We talked about shading and making things seem realistic. it was by far my favorite class. Now I had Algebra || with Emma. I met her outside of her Child Care class and we walked the rest of the way.

Classes went by super slow, and it felt like it was 10 hours before we finally got to lunch. I went through the line, standing behind Carlos Davies, a guy that has tried to get in my pants 5 times this past month. I sighed, he looked over his shoulder, looking me up and down then winking before getting his lunch and sitting with his other friends. I got my lunch and sat down with Emma. We were talking for a while before Trevor and Jace sat down with us. Trevor followed quietly behind Jace and as soon as I saw Jace I smiled.

“Hey Jace!” I smiled, and Emma shot him a silent glare before striking a conversation with Trevor. I always wondered why Emma didn’t like Jace, but I chose to ignore it.

“So, uh, what are you doing after our tutoring session tonight?” Jace asked, making Emma look over.

“I was just going to re watch Teen Wolf episodes.” I said as I took another bite of the apple in my hands.

“Oh, well I was wondering if you wanted to go get pizza or something with me?” He asked nervously, scratching his neck.

“I’d love too!” I said and we talked and laughed next to an annoyed Emma for the rest of lunch. Trevor looked jealous, but I’ll leave that alone.

School was over and I was talking to Emma for a few minutes before tutoring with Jace. “So, those fake I.D.’s are for Saturday. And I know for a fact you don’t anything to wear. So Friday, tomorrow, we are going to go to the mall.” She said.
“Okay, I’m down.” I said, sipping on a drink I got from the vending machine. “But I have to go to tutoring right now, so I will call you when I get home later, okay?”

“Yep!” She said with a smile. “Love you! See ya later!” She said as she walked out the door and drove home.

I turned around and walked to the library and saw Jace sitting down at a table getting out the math books.

He saw me and smiled, and we got on with the hour long tutoring session.

We walked out of the building and across the street to Pizza Hut. He ordered a pepperoni pizza and we sat at a table in the back corner.

We started talking about random things. “So what’s your favorite video game?” He asked me.

“I don’t have one, unless you count Candy Crush.” I laughed. The pizza got there, and I opened up the box and took out a slice, biting into it.

“Hungry much?” He laughed, and I nodded, taking another bite.

“It’s good pizza!” We laughed and kept talking until the pizza was gone.

“So, I just had a question.” He said.

“What is it?” I looked up into his brown eyes and melted.

“Would you want to be my girlfriend?” He asked. I stood there speechless.

“Yes.” I smiled and hugged him, almost knocking him over.

We said goodbye and I walked across the street and drove home. I called Emma like a I promised, but didn’t tell her the news yet. I went to bed a smiling mess.
