Hello, Darcy.

Darcy Styles...

2 weeks later…

Darcy’s P.O.V.

I placed the last box near the door for the men to carry out as I walked on over to the table to where Dad and his Lawyer were talking.

“Darcy, right on time!” Dad smiled.

“Hello, Darcy.” Mr. Ellis greeted. He lowered his glasses down to the bridge of his nose as he carefully studied the signatures on the papers.

“Okay, Mr. Styles you’re all set…” He paused. “Now Darcy, if you can just sign here.” He handed me his fancy pen and using his shaking figure to point where I need to sign. I finally signed with my signature.

“And here.” He said, flipping through each page.

“And finally here.” And finally, as I signed the last page, I officially became Darcy Paige Styles. The feeling was overwhelming, so much excitement was rushing through my blood.

“Alright, you are finished Miss Darcy Paige Styles.” Mr. Ellis smiled. I looked on over to Dad who’s face was filled with amazement, his eyes began to brim with tears for the happiness he sustained.

We then finished packing everything, and all the men that helped with the boxes basically transferred everything that was here already to his house.

I took one deep breath wandering my eyes around the empty home. Suddenly Dad wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

“Ready?”

------------------------------

“You’ll love it, I promise.” Dad smiled as he continued to keep his eyes glued to the road. I couldn’t help but smile and feel happy, every toll that’s taken over us has somehow been overcome, we both just needed each other to get over it.

I honestly have never been to Dad’s house, not even once. For the past months I couldn’t keep my distance away from the house, after all it was my home, but with a new promised beginning, I couldn’t let down the offer.

I held onto the silver necklace’s pendant with Mum’s initials that Dad gave for my 17th birthday, I almost forgot I even had it. Although forgetting about the past and starting with a new beginning, I couldn’t forget about Mum.

-------------------------------

The travel distance didn’t seem much and yet so far.

Finally Dad pulled up in front of a gated area with a long driveway. “Wow.” It was breathtaking. I haven’t stepped one foot into the place and I was placed in astonishment.

“We haven’t even settled in yet.” Dad chuckled. I swear, he just read my mind.

“The gate gives it away.” I chuckle.

“Are you ready?” He asks. I take a deep breath as I open the car door.

We both walked a great distance towards the house, Dad opened the gate as if he were a butler here, gesturing me to go inside. I chuckled as I walked down the driveway. My eyes settled on the green lands that were perfectly mowed and the drive way which was smooth.
I stopped and imagined myself briefly as if Mum and Dad were both married, and as if I was a little girl around, running around the green grass and picking flowers.

“Darcy?” A familiar voice interrupted my imagination, it wasn’t Dad’s. I turned around to find myself looking at the familiar face. My lips curved up in a smile instantly and I found myself running to him.

His strong faint scent I inhaled in happiness as I wrapped my arms around him. “Ryan,” I giggled. His arms wrapped around my waist as he lifted me up.

“Darcy,” He smiled. His warm smile instantly brought me to my weakest state.

“What are you doing here?” I asked. He finally set me down and kissed my cheek quickly.

“You’re Dad invited me,” He laughed.

“My Dad invited you?” I laughed as I raised my eyebrows up in surprise. “Are you sure he just invited you to help us unpack?”

A laugh escaped from his mouth, sending shivers down my back. “I don’t mind really… As long as I get to spend time with you-“

“Alright kids! Let’s get unpacking, the men with our stuff is here!” Dad interrupted, carrying a box towards the house.

“Even if your Dad is around.” He continued and laughed. I shook my head and laugh. I felt Ryan’s arm drape around my waist as he walked us towards the trucks.

---------------------------------

“The last of the last,” Ryan sighed as he placed a small box on my bed. I just finished unpacking the fragile things, including framed pictures.

“I’m really sorry my Dad dragged you into this,” I sighed and slumped on the bed. I looked outside of the window to see the night sky has already appeared.

“Darcy, I told you. It’s fine…” He smiled kindly and sat next to me.

“At least we’re done now,” I gave him a small smile. He gently grabbed my hand and pulled me onto his lap.

Although my room was a mess, the small lamp dimmed the room to a romantic setting. I felt his warm breath on the back of my neck. His soft lips were tracing down. I closed my eyes and treasured the sweet moment.

“I love you Darcy,” He spoke softly. My heart melted, literally. I held onto his hands softly but squeezed them. I turned around and quickly placed my lips on him, causing my heart to race in a mental speed. Our lips synched in a slow agony, feeling the warm feeling.

“I love you,” I said as we broke apart in our kiss. His lips still stung on mine. The whole day I’ve been longing for his kiss, I was desperate for them.

“I missed you.” I said barely above a whisper. I did really, I haven’t seen him in a week almost. He was busy with school and work.

“I missed you too.” He stated. He gave me one last kiss before placing us both on our feet.

“I better leave now,” He said. His emotion suddenly turning into a worry state.

“Already?” I ask. I try not to seem too desperate, but I haven’t seen him all week, only today to help us unpack. He was already leaving.

“You can stay the night if you want, you must be really tired.” I simply state.

“I can’t Darc- and I know your Dad wouldn’t be so pleased with that.” He chuckled. There was no humor found in his laugh.

“I just have work tomorrow morning, and we’re going to be packed with patients…” He said. “I’m sorry Darcy, reall-“

“It’s fine,” I interrupted. I begin to feel disappointed.

“I’ll make it up to you, I promise.” He smiles. I nod as I feel his arms wrap around me. The disappointment leaves for a little while, until he lets go. He places a chaste kiss on my lips, leaving the burning sensation once again.

I feel my cheeks begin to warm up, and I begin to blush. His eyes makes me give him a shy smile.

“I’ll walk you downstairs,” I say before I grab his hand and walk us both down the grand staircase. My eyes wander around the stairs and the huge place.

I don’t see my Dad no where in sight. “Dad?” I call out. “Dad?”

“In the kitchen!” He replies. I lead Ryan and I both to the kitchen to see Dad stirring up something on the marbled stove.

“Ryan is leaving already,” I say bluntly.

Dad’s face falls in a small frown. “Already? I’m just making dinner…” He asks.

I nod, not wanting to explain any further. As awkward as the situation is.

“Well thank you again for the help Ryan, I really appreciate it.” Dad smiles.

“Any time Mr. Styles, call me up when you need anything…” Ryan replies.

“I’m going to walk him outside,” I say. Dad nods and returns back to his cooking.

“See you around bud!” Dad yells to Ryan. Ryan chuckles as we step foot out of the door.

I was beginning to feel something unusual between the both of us. I closed the door and stood there. Ryan stood there as well. I crossed my arms, and watched him.

“I’ll see you soon, yeah?” He asks.

I nod. He places a kiss on my forehead, and soon begins to walk away.

“Is there something wrong?” I abruptly ask. He turns around and confusion is written all over his face.

“What? He asks.

“You’re worrying me, Ryan.” I state bluntly. He furrows his eyebrows deeper.

“Darcy, why are you worried about me?” He asks and steps closer towards me. His brown eyes are practically burning through me, demanding for an answer. Then again, making my knees weak.

“I don’t know, the fact that you haven’t contacted me for a whole week and now you’re basically just leaving, not even wanting to spend time with me- God, I’m making this whole situation make me look desperate.” I shut myself off before continuing.

“Ever heard of work Darcy?” He softly asks. I knew he was pissed, but he didn’t want to raise my voice at me.

I stay silent before he replies. “Right, exactly. You don’t. You’re Harry Styles’ daughter. You have everything you’ve ever wanted…”

My jaw drops, but I don’t bother replying back to what he said.

“Are you hiding something from me?” I spill.

“Wha-“ He stops himself and remains calm.

“I don’t have time for this Darcy… Like I said, I’ll see you soon.” He stated before walking away and not daring to turn back. I feel my eyes begin to blur with slight tears. The only day I get to spend with him ends up in an argument.

I walk back inside of the house. Closing the door. I rest my back on the door and wipe the tears away before taking a deep sigh and closing my eyes. I opened my eyes to be met by an unfamiliar place once again. This place was grand, everything.

“Right, exactly. You don’t. You’re Harry Styles’ daughter. You have everything you ever wanted…”

I hear Ryan’s voice in the back of my head. I can still imagine the way he said that. It was true, I was Harry Styles’ daughter. But at the same time it wasn’t true. Before all of this, knowing that I was a famous pop star’s daughter, I didn’t have everything I wanted.

“Darcy?” I heard Dad call out, and before I know it, his head peeps through the kitchen door.
“Yeah, Dad?” I ask.

“I hope you’re hungry, dinner’s ready.” He chimed. I shook my head.

“I think I’m going to go straight to bed, I’m knackered from unpacking,” I chuckle lightly. I was hungry, but at the same time, I feel really tired.

“Alright kiddo, I’ll leave some in the fridge just in case you get hungry later on.” He smiles. I nod as I begin walking up the staircase. I look down at the velvet carpet, and begin brushing my finger over the railing.

As I enter my room, I still feel the romantic atmosphere. I imagined as if Ryan were still here with me, having a small conversation and wishing that he’d stay the night.

I sighed and looked at one last framed picture I forgot to place on the shelf. It was a picture of Mum. I brush my fingers over her face, admiring how beautiful she was. A small smile curved up my lips as I placed her picture next to a bunch of other family pictures.

I walk back on over to my bed and lay down facing the ceiling. I began feeling worried of our little argument earlier, but as everyone says, it’s normal to have arguments here and there… But still, I couldn’t stop worrying of what was happening between us just a few minutes ago. Was everything starting to fall out of place again? I hope that I don’t fall into that darkness again, Ryan was my light now and I couldn’t dare lose him. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. As tired as I was I felt the darkness drift me away into a mellow dream…
