We're Just Friends, Right?
MAX'S POV---
We're lying in a dark room, and then the ceiling lights up, and we're staring at stars.
"I really like your eyes." He whispers.
"They're just eyes." I whisper back, still mad at him.
"Not to me."
"Michael, what do you even want?" I ask.
"You, Max."
"No, no you said you wanted Riley."
"I didn't know what the difference between love and greed were." He shuts his eyes in regret. "I wanted Riley because Luke loved her."
"And.. Me?"
"I want you because I love you."
My eyes widen. He loves me. No one's ever said that to me like that. "Y-You do?" I stutter.
"Of course I do, Max. You don't give yourself enough credit." He smiles.
My eyes open quickly, and I try to sit up but end up just lying back down. What the hell was that? Michael telling me he loves me? He doesn't love me. That was stupid. I check the clock beside me.

I contemplate going back to bed but decide against it, because Mikey's probably awake and I wanna talk to him. I hop out of the empty hotel bed, and walk downstairs, where I find everyone in the pool. Of course. I walk out into the sun as Riley says good morning to me. I don't know how she and Luke are managing to be friends, they're clearly very hot for each other.
"Hia." I say sleepily.
"How'd you sleep?" Michael smiles from inside the pool, floating around on his back.
I think I'm blushing, after remembering my dream. "Uh, fine."
"Why are you blushing?" He wiggles his eyebrows smiling more.
"It's hot out here." I lie.
"Liar." He smiles, and then swims over to Ashton.
I see Calum looking at me but he quickly looks away when he realizes I can see him. Ugh. I'm so done with him. I want someone who actually tell me they love me and not just tell me they love my body.
Riley skips over to me and sits beside me.
"How are you wearing a bikini?" I raise my eyebrows. Riley isn't like me at all, she's ridiculously self conscious of her body and how she looks.
"I don't know, I think being around these people is boosting my confidence." She laughs
LUKE'S POV---
What is Riley doing wearing a bikini like that?! No no, it's hot, and that's why it's bad.I thought we were supposed to try to be friends, and all of a sudden it's looking a lot harder than it already was.
