Icing on the Cake

Ashton stormed out angrily. Michael stayed to ask a few questions. He stayed and chatted for a while.

“Who proposed?” Michael asked.

“Calum did.” I answered while grabbing his hand.

“How did he do it?” Michael asked.

“Well, something like this.” I started explaining,

***Flashback to two weeks earlier.***

“Calum!” I yelled from across the house. "I thought we were going to Netflix and chill.”

“Luke.” Calum said to me, somewhat serious, walking into the living room. “We are going out tonight. I need you to put on this suit.” He said handing it to me.

“A suit?” I asked. “I’ve literally only worn one of those once before in my life.”

“I know, just do it.” Calum ordered.

“Fine.” I said. After dressing into the suit, I walked into the front entrance to the house to see Calum also dressed in a suit, that was black, gorgeously fitting his body. He handed me a bundle of flowers.

“You’re going all out!” I said.

“I do that for the people I love.” Calum said, then came over to kiss me.

A limo was outside to pick us up. We made out in the limo, and it took us to a fancy restaurant, where we had a nice dinner. The limo then drove us to a secluded park where there was a short paved trail that led to a fountain, that was lit up with all different colored lights that illuminated in the dark night.

“Luke Hemmings…” Calum said, while getting down on one knee.

I was screaming on the inside. A smile broke across my face.

While pulling out a ring, Calum asked “Will you marry me?”

All kinds of emotions poured over me, it was so overwhelming I started crying. “Yes!” I screamed out in tears of joy. Calum placed the ring on my finger, stood up and kissed me in front of the flowing fountain.
