“Cassie.. babe wake up” I hear Niall plead

I lie there for a moment and think about what just happened. I remember Niall saying Harry woke up and we were just walking out of the door. Then I caught a glimpse of the T.V., the photo of Gemma and what they were saying… I quickly sat up and looked at Niall with wild eyes.

“Tell me that bitch has not gotten loose” I say

“I’m afraid so love. She has gone on the run from the work release program she was in. The police think she may be headed for Haylie and Harry since his health issues have been all over the tele” Niall says

“No no no no no no this can not be happening” I put my head in my hands and just let the tears flow.

A few minutes pass by before Niall reminds me the kids are right outside in the car and we needed to go to the hospital for Harry.

“Baby I promise we’ll get more protection. Camera’s, alarm’s the whole nine yards. I won’t let her hurt you again… I promise, I love you Cassandra” Niall says to me

20 minutes later:
We meet Anne at the entrance to the hospital and follow her with all of the kids in tote. We walk into Harry’s room to see Liam and Sophia talking to him.

“Daddy’s awake” Oliver and Olivia yell as they run to his bedside

“Yes I am, hi guys how are you my loves?” Harry says cheerfully

“Harry sweetie there is something you need to know” Anne says

“What’s that mum?” Harry says looking over at her

“Your sister has…has”

“Has been locked away, yes I know” Harry says

Anne gets up and scoops Haylie into her arms and goes out of the door to the hallway.

“Niall honey please tell him” Anne asked of Niall

Ni walks back into the room

“Uhm, that’s just it mate Gemma was in a work release program and she escaped earlier today. They think she’s headed here for Haylie and to see you” Niall tells him

“No!! why did they let her do that!” Harry shouts

“Niall you have to get more security at the house. Please let my mum stay too, she can have my room for now.”

“More security for what mate? I heard you were finally away” Zayn says walking in to the room

I take Zayn to the side and fill him in on what is going on. We come up with a plan to put up more camera’s and update the security system. Nobody will leave the house without a body guard present and security will be tightened around harry here at the hospital too. Now the only thing we can do now is wait, she’ll show up eventually.

Two Days Later: 10 P.M.

It was a very long day, they kids had conferences, we got Anne and Haylie all moved in. I had another interview with E.T.C. which would be my second interview so I think it’s looking pretty good. Right now though I am more than ready to go to bed.

I was having the most horribly dream that someone was trying to break into the house. I sit up and take a few breathes before I realize that I actually can hear someone fumbling around outside.

“Niall… Niall wake up I heard something… NIALL WAKE UP” I shake him violently.

“Go back to sleep babe it’s probably just the wind, nobody is getting past security” he says

I roll over and try to fall back asleep but I can’t. I lie in silence for a few moments before I hear the shatter of glass and the alarm to the house going off. Niall wakes up at once and tells me to go to the kids’ room and stay with them with the door locked.

Niall POV:

The alarm is billowing throughout the house. I make sure Anne and Haylie are locked in, Sophia joins Cassie, Taylor and the kids so Liam and I can go check out what is going on. We get to the bottom of the stairs and I see broken glass all over the foyer floor from the window.

“What the hell are you doing?” Liam shouts at the shadow standing in the hallway.
