Struggle - H.S.

“It’ s Anna, Her name is Anna.” Harry mumbled but I still heard him, which made me smile. He maybe acts like we don’t really know each other that well but there he is helping me out.
“All right, I’m going to play a classical piece from one of my favourite movies, as I can’t really do modern songs yet. I hope that everybody is okay with that?” Everyone nodded and I firstly cracked my fingers before putting them on the keys. I took a deep breath and started to play “colours in the wind” from the Disney movie Pocahontas.

Everytime I played I got lost in my own world, so I never saw the way people stared at me, with open mouth and I didn’t see Harry watching me with pure love on his face, which was probably for the best. After 5 minutes of playing I was done and I didn’t really dared to look up. I was just being insecure. It was dead silent and that’s when everybody began to cheer and clap. I looked up and didn’t see anyone except for Harry, who was looking at me with so much love in his eyes that I couldn’t help but smile.

“That’s was really amazing Anna!” Olly said and everybody agreed with that. I had never made so many friends in so little time. It was quite funny because at my old school I wasn’t the popular one, so this was really weird and I needed to adapt. The bells rang, we all got our stuff and before I could even say anything to Harry, he was already gone. That did hurt a bit to be honest but then again what did I expect. I walked towards the hallway when Professor Murs called my name.

“Anna, can I talk to you for a second?” I threw a look into the hallway and back to the professor. “Uhm, yea sure, what’s up?” I asked him politely, whilst walking back to his desk. “Why do you want to play modern songs, if you can play like that?” He asked curious and I couldn't blame him because why indeed? “That’s exactly the reason, why I want to play modern songs because I already know how to play classical.” I said and he smiled at that.
“You are really good but there are still things I can teach you and I’m happy to learn them to you.” He told me and I was grateful for that. “Thank you Professor.” I smiled at him and he smiled right back, which made him even more handsome than he already was.

“You know you can call me Olly right?” He said but I wasn't sure if I should do that and felt a bit awkward. “Yes I know but that would be inappropriate.” I mentioned but he shrugged. “Well off you go Anna.” He winked and to be really honest, that really made me even more uncomfortable.

I walked to my next lesson, which was English language and literature. I was actually looking forward to that. This class would be a Harry free zone and I was grateful for that. When I walked into the room I sat in the middle and didn’t really pay attention to the person who was sitting next to me, when I suddenly discovered a note in front of me, which said;
“Look next to you weirdo.” So I did and of course to my luck there was Niall, smiling at me, I gasped which made people turn to stare at me.

“Why are you sitting next to me Niall?” I asked him because as far as I knew he wasn't attending Oxford Uni. “Because I can.” He was being a smart ass. I rolled my eyes because I really wasn't in the mood for him. “Can’t you just bother someone else?” I almost begged him but he shook his head. “I can but Harry asked us all to keep an eye on you.” I thought Harry was done with me, so why did he keep tabs on me, it annoyed the hell out of me.

“He did, well you can tell him that I want you guys to leave me alone, I can take care of myself.” I told him under my breath as the class had already started. “Right, that’s why you are flirting with Olly Murs the music professor.” I was so not flirting with him, maybe he was with me but I didn't notice that.

“Wait what?!” Harry must've seen things that weren't there. “Yea Harry told us.” I rolled my eyes at this because even if he didn't want to admit it, Harry was really insecure. “Okay well even if I was, which I obviously wasn’t! It is none of his damn business!” I raised my voice slightly only to be stared down by people who were sitting close by. I quickly muttered apologies.

“It is because even though he is leaving you alone, you are still his.” This angered me and if we weren't in a classroom I would probably have slapped him. “Yea whatever Niall.” I picked up my stuff and sat at the front. I ignored him through the whole class and I really liked this class now that Niall wasn’t sitting next to me anymore and there was even this girl, Ally who was talking to me. “So not to be rude or anything but how do you know Niall Horan?” She suddenly asked.

“He is best friends with my neighbour Harry Styles, I don’t know if you know him?” I asked her and she shook her head, which made me feel better instantly. “Well just forget about him because he is really not important.” I told her and she smiled at me knowingly. “Okay, so would like to join my friends and me for lunch?” she asked me and this was a bit weird as we didn't really know each other but who was I to deflect an invitation.

“I would love to but are you sure they wont mind?” I asked her just to be sure. “I’m sure, we are really easy going and this way you don’t have to sit alone.” I nodded and followed her to their lunch spot, which was under a huge tree and when Ally introduced me to everyone, I got the feeling I already knew one of those guys.

“Hey guys this is Anna, she is new. Anna say hello to Bradley, James, Luke, Ashton, Lexi and Bella.” she introduced them by pointing at them and my eye fell on Bradley immediately because he was really handsome but in a classical way. He noticed my stare and smiled at me. “Hi guy’s, hope you don’t mind me joining you for lunch?” I asked them but they shook their heads.

“So you are an American?” Bradley asked and I couldn't help but blush when he asked me this. I nodded and took a seat opposite of him. “Awesome.” Bradley said and I really couldn't keep my eyes off of him, he looked friendly but there was something dark, which could be because of his eyes. “We are having a party, would you like to come?” I did;t expect that question but I could use some distraction and maybe a party was exactly the thing I needed.

“Uhm, yea sure.” I told them. Bradley was holding my stare a bit too long but I never felt awkward but I did feel a shiver running through my body but it wasn't the same as I had when Harry looked at me, this one was cold, as if there was something wrong. I definitely had to go to that party, maybe I could find out why I was having these bad feelings about him. “Do you have a boyfriend?” Bradley asked with a smile and I tried to ignore his eyes this time.

“No I don’t, I’m single at the moment.” I told them, which earned me a smile from all the guys.
“Cool, well I have to go and Ally, give her my address so she can find her way to my party.” James said before he left. We all watched him go and that’s when I saw Harry standing under a big tree with his gang. He was watching me, he didn’t look happy he actually looked really angry.

I wasn’t going to let him ruin my mood though and I turned my back to him. “So what kind of party will it be and do I have to dress a certain way?” I asked curious because I didn't want to overdress or something like that. “Just normal clothes because it’s going to be a normal frat party.” I think James said. “Okay, what time should I come?” I needed details, which they didn't give me themselves. “After 8pm but don’t come exactly at 8pm because nobody does.” Lexi said and I thanked her, she gave me a friendly smile but it quickly vanished from her face and that worried me but then again I really didn’t know them yet!

“You know I’m going to head back, don’t want to be late for my next class and I will see you guys later, thanks for letting me crash your lunch and I will see you at the party.” I said and started to walk away but Ashton grabbed my arm. “Wait a second Anna.” I stared at his hand which lingered on my arm. “What, did I forget something?” as I looked up to meet his eyes, which were cold, there was no hint at the smile he was wearing on his face. “No but we don’t have your number.” he explained and I extended my hand so he could give me his phone, which he did. I quickly put my number in it and gave it back.

“You know. We are all really close, so please don’t be offended that we seem a little distant.” he apologized and that did explain a few things but it still didn't make me feel comfortable. “Oh I get it, it’s all right.” I said, but I wasn't sure if I was okay with it. “I will see you tonight okay?” He asked and I nodded even though my guts were telling me it was a bad idea.
“Yes till tonight.” I pulled my arm from his grasp because for some reason he was still holding me and I didn’t like that at all. I quickly walked into the building and with that I completely ignored Harry who was calling my name but I wasn't in the mood for more testosterone.

My next class was creative writing and I hoped that I wasn’t going to see anyone I knew, as this was my guilty pleasure class. I took a seat in front of the class and I was happy when no one was sitting next to me and I finally could focus on the class, which was a pain in my ass because we already got homework to write a short story about your life, it was kind of a introduction but you could add as much as fiction to it, as long as it wasn’t to strange.

I walked back home and was welcomed with silence, which actually saddened me a bit. I did feel a bit lonely nowadays, this house was way too big for me alone and I was actually missing Harry and the lads, disturbing me. I went upstairs to start on some homework. I was busy writing when I heard my door slam quite hard and it scared the hell out of me but what really surprised me was the person who was standing in my room.

“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING ANNA?!”
