Never Let You Go {Book 2}

"What did she say happened?" Niall asked me

"She said her and Louis were visiting, they wanted to see Johannah. Taylor said everything was great then Jon started complaining his head was hurting so he went to lie down for a little bit. Taylor told menshe went to check on him about ten minutes later and the left side of his face was drooping. So they called an ambulance and he was rushed to Saint Mary's hospital. That's when the doctor told Taylor, Kim and Dora that he had a stroke due to a blood clot passing through his brain."

"Oh my god that sounds horrible. So it was the stroke that killed him then?" Niall whispered.

"No. Jon had a rough two days on a ventilator. I guess he went to sleep and around two in the morning started convulsing and then he just flatlined." I say tears rolling down my face.

"Oh Cassie I'm so sorry sweetie. Taylor must be a wreck, don't worry baby we'll be there soon just go to sleep and I'll wake you when we land" Niall whispers to me.

I do just that I am exhausted from the trip and now this happens I wish I would've known sooner so I could of been with Tay, Kim and Dora for support or to help with the baby. I feel horrible for Taylor she was very close to her grandfather. He was all she had since her dad died when she was 9.
When we landed back in the Des Moines airport niall and I gather our luggage and start looking for my dad and Tessa. Much to our surprise Taylor was standing off to the side with them. I swiftly make my way over to Taylor and grab her into a huge hug.

"I wish you would of called sooner." I say tears rolling down my cheeks

"He's gone Cassie what am I gonna do?" Taylor asks

Two days later: funeral

"We are all gathered here today to not say goodbye but to say see you later. Jon Mays was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to his family and work. Jon is an honorary veteran of two wars. He was awarded the navy cross for his battle skills in Vietnam and was awarded the purple heart in WWII. Jon is a hero in everyone's eyes. If he saw a person in need of help he was right there to help them. His kind hearted would will be forever missed but never erased from our hearts. Jon is survived by his wife Dora Mays, daughter Kimberly Mays, two sons Erik and Charlie Mays and his beloved granddaughter Taylor Mays and his only great grandchild Johannah Tomlinson. "

The funeral home played a crappy version of Amazing Grace before we left for the graveside service. Jon had a military funeral so he got the 21 gun salute and the Navy Personnel presented Dora with a folded flag and the shells in Jon's honor and they thanked her for his service.

A few days go by before I realize I'm late. And I don't mean a few days late I mean like late as in at least a month late. I have a little freak out moment before i grab the phone and call Taylor.

"Taylor hey can you come over to my house and bring a pregnancy test too?" I ask

"Cassie what are you saying? Are you pregnant?" Taylor squeals

"I don't know but I am definitely at least a month late." I say

"OK uh..Um OK Louis just pulled in I'll have him watch Jo and I'll be there soon." Taylor says.

I pace my bedroom hoping Niall doesn't come over any time soon. Taylor finally arrives and races to my room.

"What does not say?!" She asks repeatedly

"Just one more minute and I'll know" I say

"Holy Shit!" I say

"What.. What's it say?Taylor asked annoyed now

"Taylor? It says I'm pregnant!" I say calmly

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Yeeeee please tell me its Niall's baby" Taylor says

I go see the doctor a few days later. They do the usual blood work, urine test, questions about your last period all that and since I'm not totally for sure they decide to do an ultrasound and get measurements of the baby.

"Well Cassandra it looks like the babies are measuring around six weeks and two days" Dr. Roth says

My heart drops, i feel a cold sweat as I'm on the verge of passing out. The nurse gets me a cup of water and puts a fan on me.

"What is the matter?" Dr. Roth asks

Uhm... Uh well about six weeks ago was when I was basically raped by my ex and a few days after that I had sex with my now current boyfriend. How do I find out who the father is? Why does all the bad shit happen to me?.....WAIT did you say babies as in more than one?" I kind of shout

"Yes Cassandra. You are having fraternal twins which means, even though it's rare each baby could have a separate father. There is a way to test the fetuses when They're big enough for DNA. " Dr. Roth says

I finish my appointment and go home i cry the whole way there. Once I'm in the privacy of my room I call Taylor and tell her. She's stays quiet for a minute then asks me what I would do if one baby was Niall's and one was Harry's. I told her obviously I would raise them but I don't know if I would be in a relationship with Niall if that was the case. I finally get the courage to call Niall.

"Hello love, what's up with you today beautiful? How'd the doctor's appointment go?" He asks

"I have something to tell you Ni... I'm pregnant" I say

"No way? Really? Cassie this is unbelievable I'm so excited" Niall shouts

"Niall wait, there's more. It's fraternal twins. I'm six weeks and two days..and... Uh...um I'm not totally sure if you or Harry is the father but the doctor said both of you could be to each baby... I'm so sorry Niall I hate myself for getting us in this situation. "

"Cassie everything will be OK. I promise" Niall says
