Love At First Type ~ COMPLETED

Silent Tears

ThatInvisibleGirl: i knew it! well not exactly, but my friend and I kinda made a joke like ‘what if you were… well you’.
JustYourNormalGuy: I thought you didn’t like my band…
ThatInvisibleGirl: well you can hardly call yourself a band… but no, not really. I mean, you guys are okay, just not my kind of music. like I said, it’s not that I hate you guys, I just don’t like you guys… your music is okay I guess? and you can hardly call yourself a band (no offense)
JustYourNormalGuy: eh… I’m not offended, just kind of surprised that you actually believe me
ThatInvisibleGirl: well, I trust you-ish. and even if you are lying; someday I’m really going to want to meet my BFFWIKHS, so if you’re lying and I meet you for reals, I will not hesitate to chop your (whoever else you may be) dick off. ;D
JustYourNormalGuy: I’m somewhat afraid, but I’m not lying. What does BFFWIKHS mean?
ThatInvisibleGirl: Best Friend Forever Who Is Kinda Harry Styles, duh! Anyway, it’s getting late, so I’m off to bed. Byeee. xD

“Where are we going?” Darren asks for the fifth time in the past two minutes. Jack and Finn wave their curious sister off and continue to drive. Darren huffs and sits back in defeat. She had been dragged out of the house midmorning with no hint of where she was being taken. To her dismay, she couldn’t argue or fight back because of her injury.

After a few more minutes of driving, Darren suddenly widens her eyes in realization. She grabs the two seat corners in front of her and pulls her body to lean forward. “Turn. This. Car. Around. Now,” she grits. Darren makes a few pathetic attempts in reaching for the steering wheel, but Jack, who is in the passenger seat, stops her every time.

“Darren, relax. Everyone just really missed you and were worried about your whole leg-thing, so we decided to bring you for a visit,” Jack tries to explain to Darren, but she doesn’t care.

“Take me home right now, or I swear that I will chop your little dicks off and make sure that you can never, ever, reproduce. Do you understand?” She smiles sarcastically and bats her lashes at the two boys who noticeably grow in fear.

“Dad is also on a business trip at the moment, won’t be home till Saturday,” Finn adds quickly as he turns into the neighborhood.

Darren frowns, “Why didn’t you just say so in the first place? I would have complied if you had just asked me.”

Jack laughs. “No, you wouldn’t have. You convince yourself that mum took his side, but we all know that she really does care about you, Dare. You’re just too naïve and… what’s the word?”

“Disowned?” she scowls. Jack sighs and shakes his head, ignoring further conversation with Darren who sits back and picks at her already chipped nail polish. Nail polish never lasts a whole day before you can see the chip marks from where she’s picked it off, an old habit of hers.

Finn finally pulls into the driveway, bringing the car to a stop. Darren looks up at the house that she spent her younger years in, back when she was even more naïve and carefree. Those were the days where Darren didn’t have to worry, but things changed for a drastic direction.

Her brothers are already halfway to the front door when Darren takes a deep breath, muttering to herself, “I can do this. I can do this…” She unbuckles, and opens the car door, sliding her crutches out before her. Carefully, she stands up and balances on the fortunately snow ridden path before making her way to the open and welcoming door that encloses the house she spent a wondrous 13 years of her life, unknowing of the reality of it.

“Darren!” a shrill voice shouts as Darren shuts the door behind her. Darren turns around slowly, catching impact with another body that squeezes her tightly. Darren stiffens at the gesture, but hugs back when she sees who is on her.

“Lou-Lou!” Darren squeaks back and drops her crutches to awkwardly hug her sister. She pulls back not too shortly after, holding onto Lou-Lou’s shoulders for balance.

“I missed you! Why haven’t you visited so much?” her sister questions her as she picks up Darren’s crutches. Darren sighs as she gets back on her crutches. She wishes that she could tell Emmy Lou, but she doesn’t want her sister to be dragged into the mess that her life really is. She doesn’t want Emmy Lou to know that she was the make up for her being a mistake, a mistake that can neither be proven nor disproved.

Instead, she merely shrugs at her sister. “I’ve been caught up in courses and my job every Wednesday. I’ll try to visit more often though.” Her sister noticeably frowns at Darren’s answer, knowing somehow that there must be more to the story, but she just nods and follows Darren into the living area where everyone else is.

When Darren enters the room, her mother stands up, surprise evident on her face. “Darren, it’s so lovely to see you,” she says while walking over and pulling Darren into another bone crushing hug. Darren once again stiffens at the gesture, but she doesn’t give into the hug as she did with Emmy Lou. Instead, she stays stiff until her mother lets go.

Darren takes a seat between her sister and her other brother, Rhys, walks into the room. He’s busy on his phone, unnoticeably taking a seat next to Darren who laughs quietly due to, not only her brother’s ignorance, but also how much he has grown up since the last time she saw him. Everyone in the room stays silent until he finally decides to look up.

He first notices Darren, staring wide-eyed at his sister whom he hasn’t seen in what seems like years. Still, the first thing he says is, “What happened to your leg?” Darren laughs and willingly hugs her not-so-little brother.

“Ask those idiots,” she spits, pointing at her other brothers and glaring at them.

“So boys, you have a big hometown tour coming up in just a couple months now. What are your thoughts?” the interviewer asks, with her never-ending cheer and enthusiasm.

“I’ll be honest. None of us were too ecstatic when we were told that we only had two whole months to finish the album and go on a small tour-”

Louis cuts Liam off, “I second that. I especially was not happy with that decision.” The small audience laughs at Louis’ interjection before letting Liam speak again, continuing to talk about the tour. The other boys jump in at times, but Harry stays quiet per usual.

He sits quietly, but politely, until the interview is over. When a loud cut is yelled out, the boys all shake hands with their interviewer and make their way out of the building. There, they are met by multiple flashes and screaming Directioners. All but Harry stop and take pictures with a few lucky fans. Harry just stands there, in the middle of the barriers, not bothering to make any interaction with anyone.

The boys are just about ready to go when Harry is stopped short by a little tug on his tight jeans. Harry looks down to the little girl, about 6 at the least, holding a camera phone in her little hands. Harry ignores the body guards ushering him to get in the van and bends to height with the small child.

“Hello, what’s your name?” he smiles shyly at the girl.

“Rosie,” she smiles.

“That’s a beautiful name, Rosie,” Harry tells her, causing the little girl to laugh. “Would you like a picture?” Rosie nods and hands the camera phone to Harry who snaps a quick few pictures of them. Rosie thanks him before running off in the other direction into the crowd.

Harry finally climbs into the car, letting the screams of dedicated fans die off as they drive further away. The other boys smile at Harry discreetly, knowing the sweet thing he had done for that little girl named Rosie.

When Harry is dropped off at his complex, he says goodbye to the remainder his band mates before heading up to his flat. He gets inside, taking off his shoes and shrugging his coat off to hang, flopping down onto the couch.

He pulls out his phone and turns it on, but leaves it to power and enters his kitchen. Harry grabs a bottle of water from the fridge, unscrews the cap, and takes a drink. He shuts his fridge before returning to his counter and taking a seat on a stool.

When he looks at his phone, now on, he immediately slides it open and shoots Darren a message to see how her day has been. He had been completely surprised yesterday when she just accepted the fact and didn’t ask for proof. He is, however, a teensy bit scared at her threat, though he’s thankful that he isn’t lying.

After a few minutes of scrolling mindlessly through his Twitter feed, he receives a response from Darren.

ThatInvisibleGirl: My day was horrible! Stupid jackasses dragged me out of the house, and I couldn’t do anything due to my near immobility. It’s been horrible! I’m sure you’ve had a better day?

Harry chuckles at Darren’s response and smiles at how natural she still is around him. He likes that, even though he told her about whom he really is, she treats him just like any other person, like any friend of his before he became “the Harry Styles from One Direction”. To her, he’s just “Harry”, a normal guy like everyone else.

JustYourNormalGuy: my day was okay I guess; I’m just curious to know why your day was terrible.
ThatInvisibleGirl: I saw my mum today…
JustYourNormalGuy: oh…

Harry can’t help but think what could be so bad about seeing her mum. Well, he can kind of understand, but her situation can’t be the same as his. Every family has their own, different, flaws. Still, he recalls this one time when she told him, ‘yeah, I guess my parents just wanted to make up for their mistakes.’ Could this have something to do the reason she didn’t enjoy seeing her mum?

ThatInvisibleGirl: I really wish I could tell you, because I really need to get this all off my chest, but it’s a long story, and I’d rather not spill everything to anyone over kik, especially being that I haven’t met you yet… Maybe one day.
JustYourNormalGuy: yeah. maybe one day.
ThatInvisibleGirl: for now, let’s just say it didn’t end well…

“Darren, please open up. How many times do we have to say we’re sorry?” Finn bangs again on Darren’s door.

Darren sits with her head leaning against the headboard on her bed, letting soft tears run down her face. She doesn’t want to let anyone see her this way. Crying means she is weak, and to see her cry is rare. She wants everyone to know she’s strong, even when the situation is worth breaking down for. She can, and she will stay strong. No one will ever see her cry; she never cries.

So she lets her brothers continue to plead at her door for her to come out, to let them know that she is fine, that she’s okay, but she stays, letting them think she’s angry, not sad, not crying, but angry. And she is. She’s angry with them for thinking that it was okay to bring her there yesterday, that nothing would go wrong, but it did. However, she isn’t just angry, she’s sad – no – devastated that things didn’t go right.

Deep down inside, she had hoped that maybe, just this once, everything would be fine, that she could pretend for one day to have a big, happy family. The odds are never in her favor, though.

“We’re really sorry, Dare. We never meant for that to happen,” Jack now speaks. There’s a pause, as if he is expecting a chance reply from his sister, even though he knows the chances aren’t likely. “There are banana pancakes on the counter for you. We have to leave now to meet up with Marcus and Alfie for the day.”

‘Bye,’ she mentally whispers to them when the sound of their footsteps is out of hearing range, and the front door has slammed shut. Then, she pulls a pillow to her face and lets out the sobs that have been screaming inside of her.

Her whole body shakes with from the relinquish of tears. This is the side of her that nobody knows, the side the she intends to keep hidden. It’s the side of her that she denies to everyone, even herself sometimes. She doesn’t like to admit this side of her: her broken side.

@Ashton's_Love
A good handful of the other characters are YouTubers playing themselves, but there aren't any specific people who play the rest of the characters like Leanna. It's all up to your imagination really.

Who plays the other characters like leanna and the rest?

100 votes! Congratulations!
