Rose POV
I was so nervous because today was the day that I find out whether my client is guilty or not, I always get nervous during this cases. It is quiet a serious one because it is an embezzlement case, my client owes his boss money but he didn’t pay up on time.
Judge: “I want both lawyers from both parties to come and approach me”. We both approached the judge and stated our oppositions and on which side we are defending on, and we sat back in our stools.
As the case court was on session I was trying to understand the opposition lawyer stance, he was always tiring to move out of the case from time to time. I objected so many times and the judge seemed to be in my favour, things seemed to be going well for my side.
Ronald: “Mrs. Michael you say that you have been given a set of time to return back the money, am I correct?.”
Michael: “That is correct yes there was even a written contract that states the agreement.”
Ronald: “I have no further questions for the defendant your honour.”
I sigh of relief released from my breath after Ronald and I asked questions going back and forth, it was time for the judge to reach the final decision.
Judge Rachael: “Due to the sufficient evidence that shows, that the defendant did in fact give back the money on the given day on the contract I say that the defendant is not guilty.”
A sigh of relief and happiness was surrounding the room everyone was in a good mood, I surely did feel happy about this case thank God this is done and over.
Michael: “You have given a new life and beginning for my family and I, thank you so much Rose I owe you my life if there is anyway I could repay you please let me know.”
Me: “Stay out of trouble that is all I want you to do from now on, focus on new beginnings on life think about getting a proper job not only for yourself but for your children.”
Once that was done I called up my auntie and I told her I was on my way to celebrate my huge victory, there is nothing that I would love right now than to just hear my baby’s voice and tell me about her school.
Tomorrow will be the day that I will re-unite with the love of my life as well, I cannot wait to see him walk through that door with his adorable smile and make sweet love to him.
Angel: “Mommy let’s go and buy daddy some gifts, I want to give him tomorrow so when he comes he will be happy.”
