Chapter Fifteen
Niall POV
I woke up snuggled close to Emma, and I replayed what had happened in my head.
FLASHBACK
I was going to go get some food, when Louis' phone rang. When he looked at it he looked almost as if he had seen a ghost.
"Hang on mate, I gotta take this," Louis said.
As he went into the other room I thought I would eavesdrop to try and figure out who it was. When I got to the point where I could hear the conversation, I started listening.
"Hello?" Louis said, "Okay I'll be there in 10 minutes."
He hurriedly left the flat and returned a short time later looking as if he'd been crying. His eyes were red and puffy, and his face appeared tear stained.
I asked him what was wrong, but he just said everything was okay. That's a sign that something was definitely wrong. He always listens and replies carefully when you talk to him.
"I didn't ask if everything was okay, I asked what was wrong." I replied, trying not to hit a nerve.
"I don't want to talk about it!!!" Louis screamed as loud as he could, tears streaming down his cheeks, as he ran to his room.
A few minutes later I heard him on the phone and decided that now was not the best time to eavesdrop.
I had been heading out the door to go see Emma, when Louis came down and apologized. I accepted and we made up, and then I made my way to Emma's house.
When I got there I couldn't find her, so I looked in her room. That's when I heard her quiet sobs coming from the bathroom and when I opened the door I saw her. Her wrist was covered in blood and there was a razor in her hand. I started crying and when she noticed me, she ran over and wrapped her arms around me, crying like a child.
I helped clean her wrist as she explained to me what happened. I can't believe Louis would do that. When we went to watch a The Notebook, I told her that I needed to use the bathroom. When I got in there, I called Louis and he said that management forced him to break up with her, and that if he didn't it was bad publicity for the band.
When the movie was over, we went to bed, and Emma was snuggled close to my chest. I think I have feelings for her. Wait I can't, she's my best mate's girlfriend. Ex-girlfriend. I could never do that to Louis though. I slowly fell asleep, embracing her in my arms.
