Bystander

I slowly creeped down the schools crowded hallway. Brooke would be there any minute. I sees no teachers around, just like always. She just gets to her locker as Brooke rounds the corner. My mind is racing. What is she going to do to me today? Push me down? Steal my books? Call me names?
Brooke approaches with confidence, shoving me into the lockers while screaming “How was your day so far? Good until now?”
“Who do you think you are?!” a strange boy with dreamy sky blue eyes and a high blonde quiff, yells at Brooke. Brooke stops mid step, starring the cute mystery boy strait in the eyes.
“Who do you think YOU are?!” she screeches.
“I’m not a person who is gonna stand here and let you bully her” he says. Brooke sashays away, disgusted.
“Hey, I’m Luke. Are you okay?” he asks, but i’m lost in those eyes of his.
“huh? Wait what?” I say laughing.
“I said ‘Hey, I’m Luke. Are you okay?’”
“Ohhh” I manage to get out between laughs. “I’m Sarah and yeah I think i’m okay. I’m used to it. She does it everyday.”
“And you never stand up for yourself?”
“It’s not as easy as you would think.”
“Oh yeah? I just did it.”
“Yeah but you’ll regret it sooner or later.”
“Doubt it.”
“Okay whatever floats your boat.”Just then the bell rang for first period.
“Got to go. See you later.”
“Okay bye.”
“Bye.” Oh god. He’s so cute. What am I gonna do?
