Better Than Words

When we get back to Niall’s he fixes us some tea and suggests we drink it in the backyard. We sit for awhile making small talk and enjoying the beautiful night.
“Becca, are you sure you want to get involved with me? My life can be kind of crazy.”
Niall asks me seriously.
“Well Niall, I think you are worth any amount of craziness.” I smile. “What specifically are you concerned about though?”
“I’m on the road most of the year for one.” He replies, looking in my eyes.
I smile hoping it puts him at ease. “If you wanted me to I could travel with you most of the time. My boss would let me cover whatever is going on in the area we are traveling in.”
Niall grins. “I would definitely love for you to travel with me.” Then his look turns serious again. “What about where you would live? I’d love for you to be here in London with me, but I want you to be happy.”
“I’m actually open to living somewhere else. London seems great so far.” I reply honestly.
Niall starts to list another concern but I interrupt him.
“Niall I’m going into this fully informed. Dee and I have had long talks about all of this. I can be flexible. I believe that I can be with you and still be myself at the same time.”
“As long as you are sure.” Niall says.
“Absolutely, without a doubt I’m sure that being with you is worth some compromises.” I insist.
Niall smiles. “You know you’re amazing, right?”
