So, we all have that super long discussion with our selves. It usually goes like this:
“Should it be in his point of view? The whole story? Or should I switch? Or what about just Third? Ugh!!”
Right?
So, I know there’s those girls that love to do EVERY ONE’S POINT OF VIEWS. Well don’t, its stupid. If your main characters are Niall and the girl, don’t throw a Liam pov in there. Its weird having to read all those things in other perspectives. Unless, all five boys are the main characters. Like in this story::: WhatGoesAroundComesBackAround (I love this story btw) The author does a good job of switching through out the povs in both stories.
ANYWAYS…….Here’s some GOODS and BADS of each point of view!!
GOODS///BADS
Goods:
First Person:
-->You can truly allow readers to understand the feelings for the character.
-->Is good if there is a small number of main characters.
Third Person:
-->VERY GOOD DETAILS//DESCRIPTION
-->Readers can really understand the way BOTH/ALL characters are feeling in a certain event or situation such as a break up, wedding, honeymoon, sexual scene, etc..
Bads:
First Person:
<--Sometimes we don’t put enough details in.. and it’s the same stuff all the time: “I did.. I done.. I will.. I should.. I.. I.. I..”
<--Its annoying some times to have SHORT POVs then switch to another..
Third Person:
<--It takes longer to write. You’re always putting “He said, She Said, They did, They will,etc..”
<--It’s a lot to take in at once, and you have to keep up with who said what some times..
Either way though, <-----//-----> Both are good for their own little reasons, DO WHAT YOU WANT WHEN IT COMES TO POV just don’t do it stupidly… J
Ikr about the usernames! I saw a girl on the thing below she had something and it was changed now, im like thanks for confusing me.. *-*
