*Destiny’s POV*
*Last Month of School*

The entire semester went by uneventful. From being stacked without 6+ hours of homework, countless nights cramming in projects and assignment, to struggling to have a social life, everyone was tuckered out. Being the last month of the school year, the pressure was even higher.

My parents had left for work early today, leaving me all alone. Suddenly, a hollow echo of knuckles rapping on the front door startled me, as I was cleaning up the kitchen.

“It’s me, Harry!” Harry yelled, from the other side of the door.

“Coming!” I called back. Grabbing my bag, keys and phone from the kitchen counter, and swung open the door to be met with my favourite pair of green eyes. All of a sudden, Harry crashed into me, giving me a big hug. Laughing at his actions, I hugged him back.

“Babe, we saw each other just yesterday,” I laughed, as we pulled away.

“I know. So horrible. It’s been so long,” Harry sighed dramatically, as he curled his fingers around mine, and we walked off to school.

“You’re so weird,” I commented.

“It's called being happy, not weird. Now hush, girlfriend. Tell me, how was your morning, Love?” Harry smiled, ignoring the dirty look I was giving him. Widening my eyes, I looked at him with a smirk and immediately shut my mouth.

“What?” He questioned me.

“You told me to hush,” I whisper into his ear, giggling. Rolling his eyes, I laughed at him. Talking about the exams, we walked the rest of the way to school, where we meet up with our friends.

“Hey, guys!” Mabel waves towards us.

“Hi!” I waved back.

“Are you guys excited?” June questioned everyone.

“Excited? For school?” Niall asked her. “I think not.”

“Not for school, Idiots. She meant the fun fair, after school.” Elizabeth explained.

“Oh right,” Liam realised, facepalming himself. “Yeah! It’s going to be a blast!”

“I’m glad it's on our block. It’ll so easy to go home afterwards.” Ally commented.

“True though, I hate long walks after having running around for hours,” Zayn nods.

The rest of the school day went by fairly quickly. Nothing very eventful happened, except for the several dirty looks we got from Amanda and her friends.

“Did you notice the way Amanda and her posse were staring at us today?” Ally asked me, as we were walking back to my place after school. The rest of the girls planned to meet us there, later, before the fair.

“Yeah. Weird. Do you think we did something wrong?” I ask.

“Other than taking back our boys no. But you? You really didn't have Harry before … you just sort of came and took him away.” Ally laughed.

“Hey! It’s not my fault Harry fell in love with this!” I exaggerated, trying to stand as a model, as Ally and I erupted into a fit of giggles.

“Woah. Who knew? Out of all the people I have known in my like, that you would have the nicest curves?” A familiar voice snickered behind us. It was Josh.

“What do you want?” Ally glared at him.

“Nothing,” Josh shrugged, with a smirk. “Is it a crime to compliment a former best friend.”

“Yes, it is. That’s sort of the meaning of “former”. Means get the fuck out of my life. Alright? Now leave.” Ally demanded.

“What if I say I don’t want to?” Josh challenges her, with a smirk.

“Well then, you’ll be very sorry. So, you best leave.” I quickly add. Before Ally could say anything else, I grabbed her arm and pulled her into my house.

“I know you miss it, Destiny! The past! Us! You miss all of it!” Josh screamed just before I could close the door on him. “Best look out for me. I’ll be at the fair, as well!”

“Looks like tonight is going to be very interesting,” Ally commented. I could only nod, as I watched Josh walk away.
