Moving To England

Chapter Fifty-Two

*Harry’s POV*

“Alright. How the hell do we leave?” I exclaimed as we all walked out of the living room.

“I have no clue.” Zayn moaned.

“We should split up and look for an exit,” June announced. “We won’t get anything done if we stick together. There is ten of us!”

“Have you not watched any scary movies? EVER?!” Destiny exclaimed.

“Yeah. In every horror film ever created, the friends split up and then, at least, one person dies.” Louis adds on.

“But splitting up would cover more area.” Liam points out, supporting June.

“True. The house is huge. I don’t want to be here any longer than I have to be.” I supplemented.

“Fine. Let’s split into four groups.” Zayn finalised. “Two go search for an exit. The other two look for a way to get this nasty ghost to settle down, and leave this world for good.”

“Four groups?” Elizabeth questioned him, crossing her arms. “How are you going to do that?”

“I don’t know. Just do it.” Zayn says, rolling his eyes.

“Alright. Liam, Ally, Louis and me will be in one group.” Elizabeth declared. “Harry and Destiny, another group. Niall and June will be one and finally, Zayn and Mabel.”

“Hey! Why do you get the group with more people.” Niall shot at her. Elizabeth only shrugged, with a smirk. Niall and Zayn shot death glares at her.

“Okay, let’s not kill each other, let the house and the devil inside it do that.” Destiny calmed the boys down.

“June and I will be looking for an exit.” Niall declared.

“So will we.” Zayn nodded.

“Then the rest of us look for a way to get rid of the demon … yay …” Ally sarcastically cheers. Liam laughs without humour in his voice, rubbing her back.

“Shall we split up now,” Liam asked.

Everyone nodded, parting their paths. Zayn and Mabel ventured around the first floor. Louis’s group went to the second floor. Niall and June went up to the third floor, as Destiny and I did the same.

“You guys go to the left. We will search to the right.” Harry tells Niall. June and he nodded as they left us.

“Good luck, mate. Don’t die.” Niall says to Harry.

“I’ll try my best.” Harry chuckles lightly, giving him a bro-hug before we parted.

*No One’s POV*
*Zayn and Mabel*

“We can just leave through the windows you know,” Zayn tells Mabel.

“Yeah, I don’t think that Mizzable would’ve made it that easy for us.” Mabel shyly says, unsure of Zayn’s plan.

“No pain in trying.” Zayn shrugs.

“If she wanted us to leave she would’ve,” Mabel says as Zayn looked around the living room.

“How could there be no windows in the living room?” Zayn exclaims.

“We probably bolted them up,” Mabel says. She begins to run her hands along the walls, knocking in various places.

“What are you doing?” Zayn questions her.

“Looking for the window,” Mabel explains. “She could’ve wallpapered it. Knocking on the wall has a different sound than knocking on a window.”

“True. True.” Zayn nodded. “Smart girlfriend.” Zayn planted a kiss on Mabel’s cheek, making her giggle. Zayn followed her actions.

Moments afterwards Mabel found a window.

“I found one!” Mabel exclaimed, with a big smile plastered on her face.

“Yes! Genius!” Zayn smiled, giving Mabel a quick hug before they started ripping off the wallpaper.

An awful stench poured out from the walls filling up Zayn’s and Mabel’s noses.

“Oh my gosh!” Mabel cried, stepping back, covering her nose, trying to block out the horrid stink.

“This lady sure knows how to kill people through the simplest things.” Zayn moaned, moved away from the wall as well. Zayn and Mabel heard a loud crashing sound from above, making them jump in their spots.

“What was that!” Zayn exclaimed.

“I don’t know. But whatever it was, it’s probably destroyed!” Mabel shrugged.

“I think it came from the third floor,” Zayn says.

“Harry, Destiny, Niall and June are there!” Mabel exclaims.

“Call them!” Zayn nudges Mabel.

“No service!” Mabel groans.

“What? How?” Zayn exclaims.

“Look at the wall.” Mabel points at the wall, directing Zayn’s attention there, as the fuel odour suddenly goes away somehow.

“The wallpaper is peeling off by itself …” Zayn says, astonished.

“There is a window behind it, Zayn.” Mabel smiles, as the two watch the wallpaper peel off, reliving a broken window.

The wallpaper stopped peeling off halfway, so Zayn and Mabel tore down the rest.

Just as they had finished, without warning, Mabel noticed a dark figure through the window. The figure stood a mere inch away from where Mabel was. Mabel let out a sudden loud scream, which was heard by everyone in the house.

“What!” Zayn exclaimed astonishment plastered on his face.

“There is someone at the window!” Mabel stutters. The dark figure loomed at the window, before disappearing.

“It’s gone now …” Zayn trailed off, fear echoing in his voice.

“Who was that?” Mabel questioned.

“I don’t know.” Zayn shook his head. “He is gone now. So, let’s try the exit.”

“I don’t think it's a good idea.” Mabel disagreed, as Zayn walked over to the window. “Zayn, no!”

Zayn tried to climb over the window, a strong force pushed him backwards. Thrusting him into the wall. “Zayn!” Mabel exclaimed, running to his side. “Zayn wake up!” He was out cold and unconscious. The dark figure loomed over Mabel and Zayn. As Mabel cried, desperately trying to wake up Zayn. “Zayn. Please, we have to go.”

“Move aside!” The dark figure commanded Mabel, forced her aside, she crashed into the wall.

As the dark figure loomed over Zayn, Mabel heard Zayn cough a bit. Once she looked over at him, Zayn’s face was faced away from him. Mabel got one last glimpse of Zayn before going senseless.

*June and Niall*

After partying with Harry and Destiny, June and Niall walked into a family room, which was dressed with sharp shadows, sofa and chairs were overturned revealing deep grooves on the ground where they used to sit. Wallpaper lay curled on the floor. A large jagged hole dug through the wall, it stood as though it were to dare anyone to enter their eternal death.

“This house is scary as hell,” June mumbled.

“I think the untidiness and darkness add to that.” Niall nods.

“We need to get out of here.” June groaned.

“Obviously,” Niall says.

Picture frames hanged off-centered. Sharp shadows roamed around the room. A misplaced grand bookcase stood at the corner of the chamber, undisturbed for a long time.

“Do you think selecting the correct book could reveal a secret doorway, into like some labyrinth.” Niall chuckled, glancing over the bookcase.

June walks over to him and shrugs. “Possibly.”

“Let’s try,” Niall smirked. June shrugged again and nodded, as the two of them began yanking all the books off the bookcase. Niall pulled out a big, dusty book, which read “OPEN ME”. Just as he tilted it forward, a doorway opened up.

“Niall you did it!” June exclaimed, hugging him.

“Let’s see where it leads!” Niall smiles brightly. Just before the two of them step through the doorway, they hear a loud crash and shrieking scream.

“That came from where Harry and Destiny went! They are in trouble!” June exclaimed as she and Niall had rushed to exit the room they had been in.

The hadn’t noticed the dark cloud exiting the doorway they had opened. Just as Niall and June left the room, they heard another scream from the first floor.

“Mabel!” They heard Harry and Destiny exclaim in unison.

*Liam, Ally, Louis and Elizabeth*

“Alright. We find a way to destroy this crazy woman. And the fuck out of here. Easy right?” Ally says as they ventured around the second floor.

“Uh … I doubt it.” Louis says, narrowing his eyes at her, as to say she was absolutely crazy for saying that. Ally had noticed the look.

“What? Let me dream, in this nightmare.” Ally says, nervous.

They were in a hallway, as Liam noticed a glimmer of light coming from the behind the door closest to where they had been standing. He approached it slowly and opened the door.

“It's a bathroom,” Liam informed the others. The single window in the arm was mildly dirty, a flood of moonlight flowed into the room. Dust swirled around the chamber, as Liam entered.

The medicine cabinet mirror lay shattered in pieces on the floor tiles. Empty pill bottles lay in the porcelain sink. The only sound to be heard was the dripping from the faucet.

Liam peered closer, discovering the discolouration of the water a brownish concoction. Liam scrunched his face in disgust to see the unhealthy looking water.

A lone mouse stood sentry at the bottom of the tub. Never having a visitor in a while, it curiously eyed Liam before scuttling away.

Approaching the bathtub, a strong odour made its way to Liam’s nose. Pinching his nose, he leant over and peered inside. Crusty rags filled the tub, a little hint of movement underneath them.

Liam concluded it to be inadvisable to see what was underneath the rags. Exiting the bathroom, Liam took in a breath of much more odourless air. “It stinks in there,” Liam says in disgust.

“Don’t worry. I got this.” Elizabeth says, reaching into her backpack. She sprayed some perfume around the hallway.

“Why do you have perfume in your backpack.” Louis narrowed his eyes, questioning her.

“You never know when you might need it,” Elizabeth smirked.

Ally walked over to the foot of the staircase. She stood there, peering downward, wondering when a twisted headed person would be crawling up and having her for dinner.

“Ally, over here,” Liam called to her, motioning for her to follow them.

Louis stood in front of a blue-greenish doorway, it didn’t give way easily. Liam and Louis attempted a forceful push, but it wouldn’t budge open.

“Oh god. Move aside.” Ally rolled her eyes.

“How are you going to-” Louis started but was interrupted with Ally kicking the door, causing it to fly open, quickly.

Ally and Elizabeth smirked, as they walked into the room. Liam and Louis watched them with confusion. The room was pitch black, Louis took out his cell phone, turning on the flashlight feature, allowing them to see a little more.

“It’s a bedroom,” Elizabeth says as she noticed the silhouette of bed, edging in closer for a better look. The sheet was splattered with a dark colour.

Liam recognised a toy dinosaur laying on the ground, with it missing its head. Picking it up he held it behind Ally. She turned around thinking she saw a headless dinosaur floating in the air.

In the intense silence, Ally somehow screamed with her whole body. Her eyes are wide with horror, her mouth rigid and pen, her pale face gaunt and immobile. Ally’s fists were cleaned with blacked knuckles and nails digging deeply into the palms of her hands.

She slapped the dinosaur right off of Liam’s hands who was laughing uncontrollably, along with Louis.

“Liam!” Ally cried.

There wasn’t any time for getting angry because they all heard a loud crashing noise as if something had fallen from the sky. Moments after they listened to a shrieking scream, from upstairs.

“It sounds like Destiny!” Elizabeth exclaimed, worrying washed over the four friends, as the rushed to exit the room.

Soon they heard another terrifying scream.

“Mabel!” They listened to a remote holler.

*Destiny and Harry*

After parting from Niall and June, Harry and Destiny walked through the eerie hallway of the house. Cobwebs covered the corners on the house, tiny black spiders threading towards their prey.

“This demon has to clean,” Harry says in disgust, noticing the cobwebs.

“But that would defeat the reason for scaring people.” Destiny pointed out, with a shrug.

“True,” Harry says with a light laugh. The two were trying to keep up a light mood, overpowering the eerie atmosphere they were placed in.

“This place looks like it was fit for the kings and queens of the supernatural.” Harry acknowledge. Destiny nods in agreement.

“Let’s look here.” Destiny points to the first door they encountered. Harry nodded, as Destiny opened the door.

The door creaked open. A musty, dank odour crept into their noses. The room was dead silent, except for the intermittent creaks and moans. Black and brown mould dotted the ceiling in clusters, evident of rain seeping through the roof.

Harry and Destiny quietly entered the dark room. Windows covered with grime and dirt, the cold moonlight struggled to penetrate the darkness in thin thread rays.

“This room is completely empty.” Harry points out, confusion voiced in his words.

“Weird.” Destiny commented. “The only thing here is that box.”

“Looks like those boxes, pirates find their treasure in,” Harry observed. Destiny agreed.

“Help!” A faint, muffled scream echoed around the room.

“Harry. Did you hear that?” Destiny questions him, tugging at his shirt.

“Yeah … It’s coming from the treasure box! Someone is stuck in there!” Harry exclaimed.

“We need to them. Or else they’ll die!” Destiny frantically cried, as the two rushed to the box.

“Help me! Please! Help!” The muffled scream came out again.

“We are here don’t worry!” Destiny exclaims, as she and Harry desperately tried opening the box. Attentions were rising high in the room. They didn’t notice the giant cloud of dust growing and circulating behind them. The wind howled around the chamber. Flashes of light going on and off occasionally.

“It won’t open.” Destiny cried.

“It’s locked.” Harry groaned.

“Find the key, please. Help me!” The suppressed voice called out again.

“What the heck is that?!” Destiny exclaims, noticing the cloud of dust that had been forming up.

“We need to get out of here. I don’t think this room is properly attached to the house.” Harry shouts over the loud howling wind, covering his face with one of his arms and wrapping his other arm around Destiny.

“We have to take her too!” Destiny shouts back.

“Ugh.” Harry groans as the two begin pushing the box out of the room. Just as the three of them exited the room crashed to the ground. Destiny screams as the room crashed to the ground creating a ridiculously loud damaging noise.

Harry closed his eyes and pulled Destiny close to him, shielding her from the enormous cloud of dust the crash had created.

“Oh my gosh.” Destiny sighed. Harry and Destiny started out to what used to be an empty room, to what is now a wide-open way.

The large room had crashed to the ground. It had broken down into million pieces. The wind rushed through the full opening blowing into our faces. We heard a loud shrieking scream from the first floor.

“Mabel!” Harry and I exclaimed at the same time.
