*Destiny’s POV*

She carefully rolled onto her side and looked at him.

His hair fell across his face, gently I brushed it off to reveal his sharp, beautiful face. His features were much softer in sleep, the lines that usually creased his brow replaced by the youthful appearance that matched those of others their age. He looked peaceful. Wanting nothing more than to curl up into the curve of his body.

As I gazed at him, I smiled at the vision in front of me. I feel so grateful to have him in my life.

Turning to my side, I looked at the time on Harry’s clock, 3:00 pm, it read. ‘Wow, we slept for a long time.’ I thought.

"Good afternoon baby," Harry says through his thick British accent and sexy sleepish voice, smiling as he looks at me.

"Right back at you." I smiled at him. "Come on I am getting restless of lying down."

"Aww. I don't want to..." Harry groaned.

"Suit yourself." I shrugged, getting up. I made my way down to the Styles' living room. Jumping onto the couch, Harry joined me moments later. “I thought you didn’t want to get up,” I smirked at him.

“Yeah but I want you. So here I am.” Harry smiles, as I cuddled up to Harry's side, we turned on a movie to watch. After a lot of arguing and reasoning, I finally got Harry to watch Frozen. For the rest of the day, I hung out with the girls at the mall. Later that night Harry and his family joined mine for dinner.

“Explain,” Dad says to me. I looked at my food, swirling it around. I could feel everyone’s eyes burning into my skin.

“Why did you leave? Was it because of what I told you the other day.” Mom asked.

“Uh … Victor … he umm …” I tried to find a way to avoid telling the truth. Unfortunately, as always, I failed to find any other reason. Hearing Victor’s name, brought back so many terrible memories …

*Flashback*

“Are you scared …?” His eyes cut into mine, like glass, tearing me up bit by bit. The grin on his face, the glare, his fist rising up and back down into my gut.

I answered his question with silence.

“I said, ‘Are you scared?’” He repeated, angry in his voice.

I nodded. ‘I am scared. Terrified.’

“Good. You should be.” Victor smirked. Instantly his clenched fist flew to my stomach, several times until I fell to the ground. “Wimp!” He spat at me, before running off. I lay on the ground for about ten minutes, until I finally stumbled to my feet.

‘I hate him. I hate him so much … but I love him.’

*End of Flashback*

“Destiny?” Harry called to me, gently. Not even realising, I had begun crying.

My eyes drip with tears. My walls, the walls that hold me up, make me strong just... collapse. Moment by moment, they fall. Salty drops fall from my chin, drenching my shirt.

“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk right now. You’re going to have to tell someone, though.” Mum says, considerate, clear worried about me. “If not us,” Mum says, motioning to herself and Dad, “Then, at least Harry. Alright, love?”

I nodded, staring at my food. “I’m not really hungry anymore. I’m – Can I be excused?” Mum nods.

I retreated to my room, dumping myself on my bed and hiding my face into my pillow. Sometime after, Harry came to check up on me. His eyes showed the kind of gentle concern my grandfather used to have. He laid his hand lightly on my shoulder, and instead of flinching like I usually did, I was soothed by it. He left his hand there and spoke with such a soft voice I felt his words calming me more by the way they were said than the actual words. It felt as if I were wrapped in a blanket of his caring.

“Harry …?”

“Yes?”

“I ran away … because … Victor … he was my bully.”
