Moving To England

Chapter Nineteen

*Destiny’s POV*
*Three Days before the First day of School*

Ally’s room was warmly lit by the sun trying to prise the last of its amber limbs over the rooftops. The sky was dyed pomegranate pink, the colour farmers looked for during the harvest, as the sun fell behind the horizon. The girls and I sat on around Ally’s room, chatting away.

“Can you believe it? The summer is almost over.” Elizabeth sighed, laying on Ally’s bed, which was dressed in a soft grey bed sheet, with matching pillow covers, and a patterned grey and white bed cover.

“Hands down, best summer I’ve had in a long time,” I commented. It was just three days before our summer vacation came to an end, and we were all off to our first day of eleventh grade.

“I definitely agree.” Ally nodded, as she painted her nails a bright blue shade.

The rest of summer was spent together, as I got to know the girls on a more personal level. We went to the beach nearly every Friday, until sunset. Afterwards, the girls and I would stay the night at one of our houses. Travelling to amusement parks, touring around the city/neighbourhood, and trying new and unfamiliar foods. Spending our evenings indoors, or at the mall – looking around, mainly, we had the best fun.

Several afternoons were even spent with the boys, Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall, and Zayn, playing football – or soccer. Sometimes we went back to the ice cream shop, where Mr William would tell us more stories about our parents.

For a week, all of our families decided to stay at a hotel near a big, beautiful amusement park.

Gemma even came back, about two weeks ago and stayed just until a few days ago. In that time, I got to know her, to the point where we are good friends now.

Most of the nights, I would spend alone – drawing pictures, writing short stories, or recording cover songs that no one would ever get to hear. I, also, spent them texting, or calling, my friends back home – Nicki, Side, Diego and Moe.

“We should do something before school starts again.” Mable pointed out.

“Yeah, but what?” Elizabeth questioned here.

“How about school shopping?” June suggested.

“Oh! Yes!” I exclaimed, happily.

“But, what would we even get?” Elizabeth questioned, again.
“Clothes, apparently,” I replied, wondering why she would even bother to ask.

“But we go to a uniform school.” Ally pointed out.

“We do?” I cried, “I hate uniforms.”

“I know right.” Mabel sighed. “My parents told me that they hadn’t had uniforms when they went to our school, before.”

“Lucky.” June shook her head, in disappointment.

“But other than that, I still need to go clothes shopping. So many clothes I want to throw out.” Elizabeth mentioned.

“True. I do, too.” June supported her.

“Me too, but I was thinking of donating my clothes instead.” Mabel says, “We should all give whatever clothes we don’t wear, to charity, and get new ones. Fresh start, you know.”

“That actually sounds like a really nice idea,” I commented. “I down.”

“Same.” Ally nodded. June and Elizabeth also agreed to it.

“So, tomorrow we can take whatever clothes we gather up and give them away, and then we can shop at the mall,” Elizabeth explained, everyone nodded understanding the plan.

Later that night, after I had gotten home, I threw out, nearly, more than half my clothes, into several large, black plastic bags, after I had washed and dried them each one of them. All the rejected clothing was piled in the living room, waiting for it to be dumped into the donation box, and then sent to all those who would find more use of them than we ever had. The bags included all the clothing which was much too big, too small, too tight, or only the ones I just didn’t enjoy wearing anymore. I even added a couple footwear that I had grown out of years ago, don’t even know why I bothered to keep them, or even bring them to England with me.

My parents even added in a few of their clothes that they had no more use for, just as the girls’ parents did.

The next day, we were all gathered at June’s house, with our many plastic bags filled with clothing, until the very top. June’s father, Mr Bush, offered to take us to the donation box, which was located near the high school, where I would start attending in a few days before he dropped us off at the mall. Ally’s father, Mr Thomas, tagged along, since himself and Mr Bush would be driving off somewhere, afterwards.

Strolling through the mall, by hundred of different shops, all lined by one after the other on opposite sides of the building. Teenagers walked around texting on their phones, chatting with their friends, laughing away. Couples, hand-in-hand, walked happily down the lanes, smiling and pointing out different parts of the mall. Families, walking in groups, went in and out of the stores, as the parents checked off their shopping list and dragged their children along with them. Overpriced clothing, hung on display out of clothing stores, and people were waiting in line to purchase their desired items.

Two hours passed by, and the girls and I were strolling down the halls of the mall, talking and laughing away, as each of us carried at least three different bags of clothing. We stocked up on several tops, and bottoms, and anything we found necessary.

As we were nearly done our adventure through the mall, we noticed Harry and his friends, coming our way.

“Let’s go to them,” I suggested.

“Naw.” Ally shook her head, “Look who is with them.”

“Their ‘girlfriends’” Mabel says in a mocking tone, rolling her eyes.

“Can we go the other way?” Elizabeth pleaded. “Away from them.”

“Are you guys seriously scared of them?” I questioned them.

“No, but I honestly don’t want to deal with them.” Ally said.

June groaned. “Please Destiny.”

“Fine.” I sighed, we turned around.

“I am hungry anyway,” Mabel said, feeling her stomach.

“Is the food court not the other way,” I smirked.

“Maybe my hunger can wait.” Mable quietly said.

“Really?” June laughed.

“Nope.” Mabel shook her head. “Let’s go back.”

“Okay, then.” I laughed, as we turned around, again, towards the food court.

*Harry’s POV*

Amanda and her friends, convinced the boys and me to a day at the mall, simply for fun. The day was long, and alright, nothing very eventful. It was about 5 o’clock in the afternoon, by the time we had noticed Destiny and her friends, coming our way.

“Oh, look, it’s the girls.” Liam pointed out.

“Ugh, that bitch.” Amanda groaned, crossing her arms over her chest, as she rolled her eyes.

“Gosh, her friends are with her as well.” Tia spat out, in disgust.

“Why do you girls hate them so much? They are all pretty sweet.” Zayn asked as Haylee was holding on to his arm.

“Are you good? Just look at them. It's so ugly. They think they are so amazing, with their smart mouths, but no, they are just big fat, ugly pigs.” Haylee exclaimed. “They don’t even come in the zone of ‘sweet’.”

“It’s just disgusting,” Casey says, straight up.

“And honestly, Destiny. I can’t believe she is still a virgin.” Amanda laughed, mockingly.

“She is!” Tia exclaimed in shock, “I don’t even know what I would do without sex.”

“Where did you hear that from?” I asked, sternly, my eyes narrowed at her.

“I overheard, when you ten were at the ice cream shop, talking,” Amanda explained, with a devious smirked.

“Wait, why were you boy with them, anyway?” Tia questioned us.

“Just because.” Louis shrugged.

“Ugh, I can’t stand them.” Haylee rolled her eyes, trying to look at something else.

“Look they are leaving.” Tia pointed out.

“Nope. They are coming back.” Casey adds a few minutes later.

“How about a present for the new girl?” Amanda smirked.

“What present?” Niall questioned her before I could

“I am going to give Destiny, her first kiss,” Amanda says, trying to look innocent. Innocence didn’t match her, her innocence was gone a long time ago.

“She hasn’t kissed anyone!” Tia exclaimed, her face turned pale, as she was about to faint.

“Do you not even listen?” Casey snapped, as Amanda walked over to Alex Devon.

He was a kid, our age, with light skin tone, and a dirty blond hair colour. He took a part-time job at the Koodo phone service stand, trying to help out at home – a family with a single mother and two younger sisters.

Amanda whispered something into Alex’s ear, and he nodded, with a devious smile plastered on his face.

“Okay?” Amanda asked.

“Yeah, alright.” Alex nodded.

“Go!” Amanda pushed him when he wasn't moving quick enough.

“I am going!” Alex exclaimed, trying to get her to calm down, as made his way to Destiny, who, along with her friends, had now stopped to pet a puppy and talk its owner, happily.

“What the hell is he doing?!” I exclaimed, watching Alex.

“You’ll see,” Amanda smirked, as Alex has approached Destiny.

“Hey. My name is Alex,” Alex smirked at Destiny.

“Amanda.” I sternly scolded her.

“Shush!” Amanda exclaimed, her eyes glued to what was happening now.

“Hi.” Destiny smiled at him, with the puppy now in her arms. “I’m Destiny.” Her friends exchanged looks of confusion.

“I wanted to give you something, like a welcome to the neighbourhood present,” Alex says to her.

“Been here the whole summer, but alright, I guess.” Destiny shrugged, wondering what he was talking about, just as the rest of us were.

Suddenly, Alex leant in for a sloppy, drunk kiss. Immediately, Destiny stepped back and held the puppy in between herself and Alex, causing him to have kissed the puppy directly on its lips.

“Urgh!” Alexx yelled, grossed out, he had stepped backwards in shock. This, in turn, made him, bump into a large man, who was carrying a drink in his hands. The bump caused the man to drop his full glass all over Alex, staining and wetting his entire outfit.

“Oh God,” Destiny exclaimed covering her mouth, as she tried to hold back her laughter, unlike her friends had. They burst into laughter, just as the boys and I had done. Amanda’s girls even struggled to keep in their laughs. Embarrassed, Alex retreated to the men’s room.

“That is probably why she never got kissed,” Liam laughed.

“She undoubtedly, a beast, at dough ball,” Louis commented, chuckling, as well.

“Ugh! She is impossible!” Amanda groaned, stomping her feet in anger. As Destiny and her friends begin to walk by us, Amanda stopped them in their tracks.

“You!” Amanda exclaimed, pointing at Destiny, blocking her pathway.

“Me?” Destiny asked, confused.

“You are such an ugly bitch!” Amanda groaned, hating the very idea of Destiny’s existence.

“Aww.” Destiny says, pouting, sarcastically, “Do you want a hug?”

“What?!” Amanda exclaimed, angrily, confused as to what Destiny was telling her.

“Oh well, I just thought it must be very tough living life, as a visually impaired person,” Destiny says, with a fake sincerity in her eyes, and unpolluted attitude in her words.

“Oh, you bitch!” Amanda glared at her, with sharp eyes, as everyone struggled to hold in our laughs.

“Oh please. Let’s just shut up, you’re just jealous slut.” Ally spat at Amanda, rolling her eyes, as she pulled Destiny away from her.

“You shouldn’t be talking you fatass!” Tia exclaimed, at Ally.

“You want to know why I am so fat, hun.” Ally glared at her.

“Sure.” Tia shrugged.

“Because every time I’m done screwing your boyfriend, he makes me a sandwich.” Ally smirked, her friends burst into laughter, as they pulled Ally away and escaped into the food court.

“Liam!” Tia cried, as again we tried to hold our laughter. Liam shrugged, looking at his feet as he tried not to laugh. Tia started to go after them, but Haylee stopped her.

“Don’t they are not worth it,” Haylee says.

“I am starving.” Niall groaned.

“How about we get something from the food court?” Louis suggested.

“Yeah, you girls in?” Zayn asked.

“No, I am leaving. I honestly don’t even want to see her face anymore.” Amanda groaned. “Harry, I will see you later tonight?”

“Mhmm.” I nodded, unsure.

“We have not had sex in over 2 months!” Amanda exclaimed.

“Fine. Fine.” I said, looking for Destiny.

“Okay. Bye.” Amanda said, kissing me before she left.

“Yeah, whatever. Bye.” I quickly said, my eyes scanning the area, crowded with the millions of hungry customers.

“You want to go look for the girls?” Louis laughed, eyeing my actions.

“Duh,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Let’s go. I am dying for food.” Niall whined.

Soon enough, we found the girls, again, and joined them, as we all grabbed something to eat.

“Where do you get those comebacks from?” Liam asked Destiny, laughing.

“I don’t know, just sorta look at the person, and their face tells me,” Destiny lightly chuckled, grasping her smoothie in her hands.

“How about you Ally? Do you want to screw me? I made a mean sandwich,” Liam smirked.

“Shut up, never.” Ally groaned.

“But you did, though, once,” Liam smirked.

“Fine. Never, AGAIN!” Ally emphasised.

“Alright, I’ll go with your lie, for now,” He chuckled, with a shrug, as Ally glared at him.

“Alright, enough about the screwing over and what not. Some people like to refrain from disgusting things. Plus, we are eating here.” Destiny rolled her eyes, causing as to laugh.

Talking, and laughing away, we finished up our food, before strolling around the mall some more, before we headed back home. We went into, nearly every clothing store in the mall, waiting for what felt like an hour, as the girls bought, and picked out the clothes they wanted. We left the mall, with the, what felt like, a thousand bags in our hands. The girls had bought so many things that, they had made us hold half the bags.
