This Love

~Zoe's pov~


"But I don't want to go to sleep!" Delilah whined.


Emily and Ash were at a dinner so they asked me and Cal to watch Del. but apparently sleeping isn't her thing.


"Del, you have to." I sighed.


"I want mummy to put me to sleep." She pouted.


"Mummy isn't here though." I said.


"Than you sleep with me." She giggled.


I chuckled and laid down next to her. I put my arm around her and kissed her forehead.


It sucks that I'll never be able to have any kids of my own. I've always wanted children, when I found out I couldn't have any I was really upset.


I heard the door open slowly and turned my head to see Calum there smiling.


"Can I send Ash a picture of this?" He asked, chuckling.


"Knock yourself out." I whispered before hearing the little snaps of a camera.


I chuckled to my self before hearing him leave the room.


Delilah soon fell asleep and I left the room to join Calum downstairs on the couch.


I sat on him lap and nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck.


He pecked my lips and went back to watching his show.


"It's sad I'll never be able to have kids." I say quietly.


"I know, but that will never change how much I love you." He said.


I smiled and sighed.


"What if we adopted?" Calum suggested and I turned to him. "It won't be our child exactly, but we'll still love him or her like our own." He added.


"Maybe. I'm tired so we can talk more in the morning." I yawned and got up but he pulled me back down.


"Stay!" Calum whined.


"But I'm t-" I was cut off by a knock at the door.


"I'll get it." he said picking me up off his lap and setting me on the couch.


I followed him through the door and when he opened it his looked confused. Then scared. Then shocked. Then I don't even know.


"Who are you?" I asked since Calum was clearly not gonna be the one to talk.


"I'm Skylar, I just moved to this neighborhood with my daughter." She said and held out her hand for me to shake. Which I did.


"You just moved here?" Calum asked confused.


"Well, I used to live here in Sydney but moved to America. There was a lot of things happening in my city so I moved back here." She explained.


"Oh, did your husband or boyfriend come with you?" I asked.


"Well, my husband died about two years ago." She frowned.


"What did he die in some gang fight" Calum snorted. I gave him a slap in the chest for that.


"Well, actually yes. And I wouldn't be talking to the person who saved your life like that." She snapped.


"I'm confused." I blurted out.


"I'll explain later." Calum mouthed and I nodded.


"Well it was nice meeting you guys, I'll be going." She said and started walking away.


"What the fuck was that?" I snapped once the door was closed.


He told me the story of how she saved his and the rest of the boys lives in the middle of a gang fight they got surrounded in.


"Okay, I understand now but that comment about her husband dying was rude." I said raising my eyebrows.


"I'm sorry." Calum frowned.


"Don't worry, that doesn't affect me in anyway so i don't care." I chuckled and pecked his lips.


He pulled me back and that turned into a make out session.


I was skeptical about this Skylar girl. But I wasn't worrying about that as I was to focused on the fact that there was a two year old upstairs meanwhile me and Calum were making out.
