When Our Lips Met

Luke’s POV
I didn’t do much when I came home. Just went to my room and laid in my bed. I’m not sure if I should be angry, upset, or confused. When I saw Mikey and the guy I just lost in and had to get out of there before I did something I regretted. Now that I think about it I do think that I over reacted a little bit, but it was just the spur of the moment and that’s the first thing that I thought of doing. Now I’m here and I don’t even know where Mikey, or Ash or Cal are. My first thought is that they are somewhere together, but knowing Mikey he could have gone somewhere by himself.
I heard my phone ring from my dresser on the other side of my room. The first thing I did was jump up from my bed and answer it. I didn’t bother to look at the caller I.D and pushed the answer button bringing it up to my ear.
“Hello.”
“Luke.” Ashton said. He didn’t sound very happy.
“Ashton?” I asked.
“It’s Mikey.” He told me. I felt my heart begin to race at the thought of something bad happening to Mikey.
“Ashton, what happened?” I asked
“He was drunk. He was on the ground outside sobbing and he kept mumbling things but it was hard to understand from the crying. Then he just got up and started to run off and now Cal and I can’t find him.” He explained.
“What the fuck. This is all my fault.” I snapped. Of course I had to fuck things up
“Luke, he didn’t purposely do anything with that guy. The guy tried to convince him to get away but he wouldn’t listen.” Ashton told me. Yeah thanks Ashton I know that now.
“I need to go find it.” I said. I grabbed my keys as fast as I could and got on my way real quick.
“We are going to look too. Three pairs of eyes are better than one.” Ashton said.
“Okay well I’m going to go, bye.” I told him. I hung up them began to look, I hope to god I can find it.

“Fuck.” I shouted. I punched my steering wheel and let out a long frustrating breath. I’ve been driving around town for 3 hours, it was now passed midnight and I still haven’t found Mikey. I don’t want to think that anything bad happened to him, if something happened I would never forgive myself for leaving him. I felt my eyes start to burn and soon I started to cry, which I didn’t stop myself. No one was around so I didn’t care right now. I looked down at my phone and found Ashton’s contact, I clicked the call button and brought the phone to my ear.
“Luke?” Ashton asked
“Ash, I can’t find him.” I choked.
“Us either.” He sighed. I let out a choked sob and laid my head on my steering wheel.
“Did you try checking his house?” I heard Calum ask. Yes about 3 times.
“His mom says he never came home.” I told them. “What if something bad happened to him? I could never live with myself if so. This is all my god damn fault.” I cried out. I was now full on sobbing and I don’t know if I could stop myself.
“Luke, it’s not your fault please calm down, we will find it.” Ashton pleaded.
“Oh yeah and what if we don’t find him?” I asked.
“We will, we won’t stop looking until we’ve found him.” Calum told me. I sighed and attempted to calm myself down, which didn’t work much.
“Where else could we look?” I wondered. I heard a sigh come from the other side of the phone then silence. I guess they don’t know where to go either.
“Think, was there anywhere you two went a lot?” Ashton asked. I thought for a moment but couldn’t think of anything specific.
“Okay, I assume that was a no. Is there anywhere you two have gone together that you liked and didn’t want to leave?” Calum asked. I thought a bit more and then the place finally came to my mind. The pond.
“Ash, Cal, I have to go. Thank you.” I said quickly.
“Luke wai-” Before they could finish I had already hung up and I was on my way to the pond. If Mikey isn’t here I don’t know where else he could be.
When I pulled up to the pond I jumped out of my car and ran as fast as I could through the trees trying to find Mikey. This place isn’t that big so he shouldn’t be hard to find. I slowed down when I came in contact with the little pond in the middle. I squinted my eyes trying to see through the dark and when my eyes finally came in contact with a body sitting in front of the pond I felt myself sigh in relief. He looked peaceful. I couldn’t see his front, but I know he looked beautiful. He was slouched down with a stick in his hand drawing little patterns into the pond. I’m just glad he didn’t do anything too dangerous
“Mikey.”
Mikey POV
I eventually calmed myself down from crying, and I’m not that drunk anymore. I just didn’t know where else to go, and Luke said this is a place he went all the time so he could think. I thought I could just come here too. It’s quite peaceful actually. I picked up a stick beside me and began drawing patterns in the water below me. It fascinated me, which I don’t know why. Most likely because I’m still a bit tipsy, if I wasn’t I’d probably get bored instantly.
“Mikey.” I heard a voice whisper behind me. I dropped the stick from my grip and sat up from my slouch and looked straight ahead. I knew that voice. How did he even find me? Why was he even out looking for me? I heard feet shuffling behind me, then the light from the moon reflected a shadow into the water. Luke was behind me.
“Please Mikey.” He begged. He slowly sat down next me and glanced over at me. He moved his hand onto my thigh and I immediately flinched thinking about the guy back at the club.
“Mikey, I’m sorry.” He sighed.
“Why didn’t you let me explain myself?” I asked. I still didn’t look over at him, but I could tell he was frowning.
“I’m sorry, I overreacted. It was just the spur of the moment. You would probably do the same thing if it was the other way around.” He explained. I sighed and agreed quietly, he was right.
“I would have still let you explain.” I muttered.
“Mikey, please.” He groaned.
“I just don’t understand why you would think I’d do such a thing to you. I would never, especially if I love them.” I said. When I realized what I said my eyes widened. It was true though, so I wasn’t going to take it back. I did love him. Soon I felt two hands grab my cheeks and my whole head was turned to face Luke. He searched for my eyes and when he found them I heard him sigh.
“What did you say?” He asked.
“I said…” I hesitated for a minute but it was already out. “I love you.” I closed my eyes afraid that he wouldn’t say it back.
“Mikey.” Luke said. He rubbed his thumb over my cheek slowly. “Open your eyes.” He demanded. When I opened my eyes he had a big smile on his face, that’s a good sign right?
“I love you Mikey.” Luke breathed. He loved me, Luke loved me.
“Can I kiss you?” I asked. Luke laughed and pulled me closer to him. He leaned his forehead against mine and looked into my eyes.
“You don’t have to ask me that.” Then his lips were on mine. Our lips moved in sync slowly, there was no lust, it wasn’t rough either. It was slow and the kiss was just full of love, which I loved more than anything. I felt Luke smile against my lips which caused me to smile, soon we were both smiling like idiots and kissing. When Luke pulled away I was out of breath, but I still wasn’t finished.
“Can we do something?” He asked. He had a hopeful look and I pretty much knew what he was talking about. I was ready, I loved Luke and I wanted to give myself to him fully.
“Here?” I question. I honestly didn’t care where it was, as long as I was with Luke.
“No of course not, back at my place.” Luke told me. I looked down and blushed in embarrassment. I actually thought we were going to do it in public. How stupid am I.
“Oh, Okay. Well let’s go.” I said. Luke laughed and I began to get up but he stopped me. I looked up at him confused but then he began to pick me up.
“Luke, I’m too heavy for this.” I groaned.
“Mikey, shut up.” Luke demanded. I grumbled but decided to just allow him to carry me so we could get back to his place quicker. This was actually happening…
