Lindsay's POV

"Are you sure you are okay with watching over Charlie tonight? You are always welcome to join us, i could call a sitter over?" Perrie continues to interject as i am literally pushing her towards her own doorway. Zayn was already waiting outside in their car for a good twenty minutes, im surprised he hasn't honked to hurry Perrie up. She was dressed in a lovely plum-colored evening dress, her blonde hair pinned up to perfection. I always envied Perrie's beauty, but in a good way of course, never have i wished bad things upon my best friend. I remember Zayn being dressed in black trousers with a matching plum dressing shirt pressed to perfection. They were headed to a wedding, which they insisted on having had saved the date for months before hand or else they wouldn't feel obligated to attend.

"Perrie, dear, i am positive! Geez now go, Zayn's been waiting for you for eternity!" I speak honestly but send her a reassuring smile either way. I was honestly looking forward for a night in with Charlotte, Perrie's little girl. Besides, last night was enough partying for me which is sad, only making me feel older.

"Oh alright! Thank you so much Linds, i left some emergency money on the kitchen counter. We wont be long i hope, but ill give you a ring if anything comes up" she ends with a wink and i immediately catch on. I let her know that its no trouble whatsoever before giving her a tight hug and a wave towards Zayn who was in their car. From what Perrie has told me over the phone and in person, i know that they don't get to go out much so i wouldn't be surprised it they don't come back tonight. I watch as Perrie gets into their car, waving out through her open window and soon they are out of sight. I immediately get back inside, leaving the cold fall air outside as i lock the door shut behind me. They live in a lovely home, it was two stories but not the kind that feel empty but instead feels like home. I walk back into the living room where a brunette little girl already occupies the long leather sofa watching Elmo on their large flat screen TV. She was literally Perrie's twin, having the same face features and all.

Her head shoots up as she feels my presence, hitting the empty seat besides her for me to sit. Giggling, i waddle my way over, her little adorable laugh flows throughout the house.
"Lizzy is funny" Charlie, aka Charlotte speaks behind her hands covering her mouth. I straighten up at the nickname but brush it off rather quickly. I pull her in onto my lap as she was fidgeting too much to get comfortable. Out of instinct, she brings her small hands up and begins to twirl my hair around her little finger as she continues to giggle at whatever Elmo was doing on the television screen. I am bored out of my mind only ten minutes into the show, i even catch myself almost falling asleep a couple times.

"Charlie are you hungry? Aunt Lindsay is starving, how about you help me make dinner?" I ask in a high pitched voice, one i know that will catch her attention. Ive been told Charlotte was big on helping people, literally jumps at every given opportunity and am proved right as she jumps off my lap, reaching for my hand as she pulls me through her house towards the kitchen. I head towards the sink to wash my hands first, Charlotte waddling right behind me. After i dry my hands with a nearby hand towel, i bend down to pick up a smiling Charlie to wash her little hands as well. Although she insists on washing her own, i help her a out to make sure to get all the chocolate stains that had managed to get on her short arms from the chocolate cookie she was munching on earlier.

"All done" I cheer making Charlotte clap her now dry hands in excitement. I give her a quick high five before walking over to their pantry, searching for something quick to make for us both. I was over at Louis' place earlier and all he fed me was a lousy bowl of macaroni cheese. My eyes land on a package of soup, the kind that's made of alphabet letters. I smile fondly as memories of my mother making me this for lunch after school during my childhood years fill my mind. I remember then that i still need to visit my parents before leaving Monday morning, definitely tomorrow. I let Charlotte pour the soup package into the pot that is already on the stove, the hot water bubbling as the raw alphabet letters hit the bottom. Watching Charlotte's amused face was fascinating, it was insanely funny how little things like this amaze children. I struggle as i try to place her in her high chair, it isn't until i complete the dreadful task that i realize i was doing it wrong but how was i supposed to know? I don't have kids, at least not yet!

We are both finishing our soup, Charlotte still in her high chair trying to form words with the letters that managed to spill out of her bowl. I place my empty bowl into the sink and as im about to reach for Charlie's the door bell rings. I jump at the sound, feeling the color drain from my face. I wasn't aware that Perrie was going to have any visitors, heck she didn't warn me! Charlie begins to cry, spooked from the doorbell ringing repeatedly. I wipe my hand against the leg of my jeans before pulling a restless Charlie out of her chair. I hold her tightly in my arms, rubbing her back to soothe her crying which obviously isn't helping. I walk awfully slow towards the front door, looking through the peep hole which much to my surprise is being covered by whoever is outside's finger. I swallow the lump in my throat before opening the door but only enough to poke my head out.

"Jesus Christ Harold! You scared me so bad" I sneer at a Harry who is clenching his stomach in laughter. I almost close the door on his face but his boot stops it. Charlie is no longer crying thankfully, but is now trying to see whoever was behind the door. Its her who opens the door, clapping in excitement.
"Uncle Hawwy!" She cheers, wiping her tear-filled face with the back of her hands before raising them in front of her to be held. Harry immediately bends down to pick up a now happy Charlotte, spinning her around in his arms causing her to go in a fit of laughter. I fold my arms across my chest and lean against the doorframe, still un-amused by his awful prank.

"May i come in Lindsay?" he innocently asks, holding a nodding Charlotte in his arms.
"I don't think Perrie will be pleased with having visitors so late in the evening" I mutter but let him in either way, only because he is carrying Charlotte. He chuckles but doesn't say anything in return. I follow them into the living room after i made sure the door was locked. They are giggling at the Elmo rerun on TV which is an adorable sight despite the fact that i was still hurt by how he acted last night. I decide to head back to the kitchen to clean up the small mess me and Charlie managed to make in our soup making. I clean her high chair and wash the dishes we used. I am wiping down the counter with a damp cloth, deep in thought.

"You missed a spot" Harry's deep voice filling the once silent kitchen. I jump at the proximity of his voice which was only a few feet behind me. I look up to send him a failure of a glare which only causes his to laugh.
"You know Harry, if it wasn't for Charlotte i wouldn't have let you in so don't make yourself at home here." I didn't mean to sound rude but hey, he was being a dick last night so i have a reason! I am rinsing the cloth under the tap when i feel his hand on the small of my back, causing me to straighten up in return. He is now leaning against the counter besides me, searching the side of my face. I finally let out the breathe i was holding since the odd contact.
"I came to apologize Liz, I know i messed up last night.." I cut him off by placing my wet index finger against his always plump lips, almost pulling away from the familiar soft texture of his lips.

"I get it Harry, and yes you did mess up last night. You were being a big dick you know" I speak as i look into his familiar emerald eyes to let him know how much he hurt me with my own.
"I do have a big dick, you would k..." he begins to say but stops as i shove him hard, groaning in disapproval. I begin to walk away fueling with anger and annoyance but he is quick to grab ahold of my arm, spinning me around to face him again.
"Sorry, there i go being a dick again, huh? I'm just finding it hard to take everything in Liz. Before seeing you last night my life felt like normal you know? I was running my business like i have been for the passed five years but then i saw you sitting there last night and i suddenly felt confused... i, i don't even know if this is making sense" he runs a hand through his messy hair, a nervous habit he has always had. I search his distressed face and suddenly i understand what he is trying to tell me.

"You felt it too? When i saw you, well everyone in general i felt confused as well. Like the realization that we are no longer teenagers in high school but adults in real life. Its crazy huh?" I speak my mind, leaning against the kitchen island. Its true, just like Harry said. Before last night i felt like a normal adult doing normal adult things but now i feel like i want to be a kid again, get rid of all my adult duties and just have fun.
"Exactly. I'm sorry about last night Lizzy, forgive me?" There goes that stupid nickname that manages to always make my heart flutter, especially coming from his mouth. Keep it together Lindsay, he's your friend, Harry Styles, not anything more, at least not anymore.
I manage a nod before small hands tug at my cardigan from below. We were so caught up in our own conversation that for a second i forgot a child was under our care, well my care actually.

"Hey there Charlie girl" I bend down to pick up the smiling toddler. I look over to check the oven clock, it reads ten thirty. Harry must have followed my gaze before letting out a snort.
"Don't tell me you are calling it a night Liz, the party just arrived!" Harry wiggles his hands in the air causing Charlie to laugh hysterically.
"Pawty! pawty!" she cheers, imitating Harry's ridiculous hand movements. I giggle myself, he looks absolutely insane.
"Okay maybe thirty more minutes, but that's it Harry!" I warn with a stern look but quickly send him a smile. He winks before exiting the kitchen, calling for us to follow.
"What is crazy Uncle Harry going to make us do?" I ask Charlie in the same high pitch voice, causing her to shrug.

My jaw drops when we went the living room to see that all the furniture has been pushed aside against the walls, creating what appears to be a mini dance floor. Harry has his back to us as he messes with the stereo behind the TV set. I let Charlie back down on the living room carpet as i take a seat on the leather sofa which was now against the wall. I watch in awe as music begins to play from the stereo, Charlotte starts to dance in the middle of the "dance floor" instantly. I watch as Harry sends her a goofy smile before searching the room, his eyes stopping when they reach mine.
"Oh come on Lindsay! Come over here" he is waving me over to get off the couch to join them in their little party. I give in as Charlotte comes over, tugging at my hands to get me to join them. I laugh hysterically as Harry does his iconic "row the boat" dance in the middle of the living room.

"Harry... what are you... doing?" I barely make out between laughs as he now holds a hand out for me to grab. I take it without a second thought. He pulls me in to his broad chest in a swift movement causing us to be face to face, nearly.
"Dance with us Lizzy, i know you have some sick dance moves. Ive seen them" he whispers, the smell of mint clear in his breathe. I hum in agreement before i am pulled away by Charlie stepping between us from below.
"Dawnce Lizzy" she cheers from below causing both of us to laugh
"Hey now, i thought i was the only one that called you Lizzy" harry mock frowns, but sends me a wink soon after the words leave his mouth.

I am blown away with how flirtatious he has been since his arrival. Not that i can complain, i love this side of him, not the CEO of Styles Industries. He looks so young dancing with Charlie like there was no one watching. He looks stress and worry free, he looks genuinely happy just like old times. I really don't want this to end.
