legal guardian

I walk in to school, to day is just a normal friday i am so ready for this day to be over with. Mom went out with some guy last night for the 3rd time in a row. this is a record for her most guys she "hangs" with lasts one night. She left and hasn't been back since sunday.

I open up my locker just for it to be slammed shut in my face. i spun around in anger. my face was hot as i was getting fed up with this shit from people. I saw the biggest bitch of the whole school.

" Hey so slut i was wondering what did you do last night, i know what you didn't do" she smirked as her boy friend came up and wrapped his arm around her waist. He is the hottest boy in school i have had a crush on him since the 8th grade.

"Well i have no idea what i should have been doing, shannon" i snapped at her.

"ohh poor baby was the only one that wasn't invited to the party"she fake pouted and walked away leaving Zak looking at me. He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck and then walked away.

Great just the thing to top off my day, making him think i'm a freak. Why does every thing i do make me look weird or like a freak.

I walk to my to my classes hearing a whole bunch of insults. Like 'slut' , 'whore', 'loser'. stuff like that.

I get to the last hour class it is study hall. i had finished all my home work already so i pull out my phone and start to go through a blog about who is the hottest and the ugliest in school. the hottest of course was shannon and i was the ugliest she had 98% think she was the hottest and i has 99% think i was the ugliest. Im so sick of this, i get it that i'm ugly and fat but why do people need to post it online.

BRIIIIING


yes schools out. I packed up and quickly got out of school. I ran out to the parking lot to my car.
I had gotten to my car to see my tires were slashed. God Damnit! not today.

I relocked my car and began to walk to my house. it was only about a mile from school.

When i had gotten to school i had dropped my keys in the bowl i put by the door. No one has been home after dad died in the fire. My mom had always been out with some guy and hasn't been home since sunday.

I ran upstairs, i had gone into my room and put my stuff away. I flopped down on my bed and looked up on the ceiling , the one direction posters covered my walls. I had loved them ever since i was 14 when they had just went on tour with big time rush. And i also guess i liked the part where Louis and i shared the same last name.

my mind wandered for a while befor i hear the doorbell ring. so i get up and go answer it.

"Hello are you Hayley Tomlinson?" a police officer asked me

"Yes i am , may i help you officer?" i try to be polite.

"your mother was found in a hotel room and was confirmed died at 5:38pm last night."

" haha this has to be a joke" i laughed but his face was seriouse and that made me relise it wasn't a joke.

"no it is not, we need to take you to a child services facility in the moring one of the officers will pick you up at 10 am sharp."

"So im not going to school tomorrow"

"No and you will not be living here any more we know about your parents both being decisive and we need you to be under adult supervision or to have your legal guardian."

"Oh okay" i started to feel tears coming out of my eyes.

"Im sorry Ms. but we need you to be safe"

" O-oo-kay" i stuttered out.

" good night Haley see you in the morning and again i'm sorry for you loss" he gave me a hug and walked away.
