World So Cold

~Liana's pov~


Today was the day I was being discharged from the hospital. Luke was putting Olivia in her car seat while I gathered all the gifts people brought us.


"Ready to go" Luke asked.


"Yea" I smiled.


We both walked out to the car and got locked in. I sat in the back with Olivia while Luke drove.


She was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I loved the way she would just look around with those big blues eyes of hers that matched Luke's and the way she would make that cute face when she yawned. Even though I just went through the worst pain I could ever go through in my life a few days ago, it was worth it.


She was awake right now so I was just watching in her awe as she did whatever newborn babies do I guess.


She started moving her mouth making me giggle.


"What's she doing" Luke chuckled.


"Trying to talk" I giggled a little.


She made a little noise and I smiled even more.


"I love you" I sung and kissed her forehead. She put her hand on my head and looked at me. I found it funny how she looked so interested. I seriously wonder what goes on in that babies head.


"Cuteness overload" Luke laughed.


"I could say the same" I giggled again.


We got home and Luke parked in the garage.


I unbuckled Olivia out of her car seat and picked her up. We left the car seat in the car and got inside.


Luke sat down on the couch and I sat next to him. He put his arm around me and one on my lap. A smile creeped up on his face.


"My two girls" he whispered. "I love you both so much" he said.


"We love you more" I said and smiled widely.


Olivia start crying a little catching my attention. I rocked her a little and she died down.


"I'm gonna go change her" I said getting up. "Be right back".


I walked into her room and laid her on the changing table. I did whatever I needed to do and changed her into pajamas.


I started to walk around the room with her cradled in my arms and started singing to her.


"Twinkle twinkle
Little star
How I wonder
What you are"


I saw Luke coming into the room and he wrapped his arms around me and put his head in my shoulder. He continued to sing with me.

Olivia was now sound asleep. I still held her for a few more minutes as me and Luke kept singing different lullabies.


I looked back to Luke and saw him with watery eyes.


"Whats wrong" I whispered.


"Nothing, were a family" he whispered back and I now felt tears in my eyes.


I put Olivia down in her crib and covered her in a blanket.


Me and Luke excited her room and went into ours. I closed the door quietly and sat on our bed along with Luke.


I snuggled into him and closed my eyes.


"I love you so much" he said.


"I love you so much more" I responded.


"Not possible" he fought back jokingly.


"Fine, we love each other equally" I laughed.


"Okay, it's settled" he chuckled.


"We should invite people over soon" I suggested.


"Yea your right" he said. "Cousins, siblings, friends" he laughed a little.


"Yea especially your siblings, I still haven't met them" i exclaimed.


"I know, and I've literally never met any of your cousins" he laughed.


"Well, they don't really visit to much. Plus, half of them aren't in Sydney so I don't know if I can get many of them to come" I sighed.


"Maybe next weekend" he suggested.


"Yea" I agreed.


After a half an hour of just cuddling and talking we heard a faint baby cry.


"And it begins" Luke joked.


"I know" I said getting up. Luke stopped me.


"I'll get her" he said and walked out.


For once in a lifetime I had something I've always wanted,
