World So Cold

~Luke's pov~


We were now sitting in the waiting room of the hospital. Apparently on the way to michaels house, they got hit by a van.


Liana was currently laying in my arms with a few tears running down her cheeks. She let out a small sob every few seconds and nuzzled her head into the crook of my neck.


Michael was conscious which was a good thing but Leigh on the other hand was not. He only had a few cuts and bruises because the van ran into the other side of the car.


"Um excuse me" the doctor speaks up coming in. We all look up. "I have some news on Raleigh Williams, she says for us to speak to Liana and Michael" she speaks again.


"She's awake" Michael says standing up from his seat immediately and the doctor nods.


Liana looks up at me and I nod. Her and Michael follow the doctor to the hallway but I can't really hear what they're saying.


~Liana's pov~


Me and Michael followed the doctor to the hallway so we could talk more privately.


"Well, she actually got very lucky" the doctor says.


"What happened" I ask impatiently.


"Since the van crashed more into the side of the truck she was on, she was injured very badly" she started and Michael and I share looks. "We didn't expect her to be waking up until a few hours from now but she is very week. She has two broken ribs and might not be able to walk for the next week or two so be easy on her" she continues. "She was lucky because one of the ribs that she broke could've punctured one of her lungs but thank god it didn't" she finished and I stood there gobsmacked.


"What would've happened if she did puncture a lung" Michael asked. I was still speechless.


"Well, she could've died honestly" the doctor said.


"Thank you, can we go see her" I ask.


"Not today, she's still being taken care of and won't be ready for visitors until tomorrow" the doctor said and just walked away.


"At least she's okay" I say and out a hand on Michaels shoulder. Her simply nods and follows me back to the waiting room.


"Is she okay" they all ask as we walk in.


"She broke two ribs and I forgot what else she said. But she could've punctured a lung so she got lucky" I say as Michael sits down and outs his head in his hands.


"Why did you guys even have to go to your house" Luke asks.


"we got you guys presents for when you told us if it was a boy or girl" Michael said and sighed.


"Aww thanks Mikey" I said.


"Do you guys just want to know now" Luke asks and they all nod.


"It's a............................................."


"JUST SAY IT ALREADY" Calum whisper shouts making us all laugh.


"Girl" Me and Luke exclaim at the same time.


They all looked happy, especially Ash and Emily.


"A mini Luke" Zoe mumbled under her breath.


"What that's supposed to mean" Luke asked defensively.


"Nothing, it's just gonna be weird seeing a girl version of you" she shrugs.


"Then what if she looks like me" I ask and laugh.


"I don't know, but it would actually be cute, your nose and Luke's eyes and hair" she says.


"I'm excited" Luke says.


"Just wait" I wink and peck his lips.


"I was actually in the hospital room with my mom when she had my little sister" Emily says.


"How old is she" Ashton asks.


"Nine" Emily responds. "Well anyways, even though I was like eight or nine at the time and couldn't understand much, I still thought it was amazing" Emily says and smiles.


"Seriously Ash she's so mature, I don't get it" Zoe says and we laugh.


They both start kissing and we all just laugh.


"I'm still a little scared" I say and look down.


"I'll be there with you the whole time" Luke assures.


"Yeah, until you faint" Calum jokes.


"Better not, I'll slap you, and I will" I warn and Luke just widens his eyes.


"Oh lord" he mumbles. I peck his cheek and he gives me a cheeky smile.


"You'll be fine, don't they give you an option to like, numb you or something. I don't know what it's called" Emily says.


"I don't know, my mum was talking to me about that the other day. I don't like needles though and she said they put this giant needle into your back" I say and cringe.


"So your just going natural" Zoe says.


Luke looks at me and widens his eyes.


"Remind me to buy ear plugs" Luke says.


"I'll make sure to scream extra loud just to annoy you" I tease.


"I make you scream all the time, doesn't bother me" he winks.


"I feel uncomfortable can we please change the subject" Calum asks.


"Aww, little Cal is so innocent" Zoe ruffles his hair.


He just shifts uncomfortably and looks at us nervously.


"Are you-" Zoe starts.


"Maybe" he says and scrunched his face up.


"Wait what" I say surprised.


"The Calum Hood I have been best friends with since kindergarten, is a v-" Michael gets cut off.


"Shut up" Calum snaps and we all laugh. "It's not funny" he whines.


"At least you didn't lose it the way I did" I say and Luke looks at me with sad eyes. Everybody else looked confused. "Never mind" I say.


"Well we should get going, it's gonna be dark" Luke says looking out the window.


We all leave and get back home quickly.


Me and Luke snuggle into his bed and sleep takes over me almost instantly.
