World So Cold

~Liana's pov~


So today, all of us are going to meet Emily and then I have my first doctors appointment.


The only people that know are me, Angelica, Luke, and the rest of our little group. I wasn't really planning on letting anyone else know, especially my mum.


It was really hot out today so I took this to my advantage and wore a crop top and shorts while I still can.


"Hey we going" Luke asks standing up from my bed and grabbing his keys.


"Yea" I say putting my hair in a bun.


"Let's go" he says running out of my room and to the car. He starts driving to Ash's house.


We arrive and see there are already a few cars there meaning we were probably the last ones. Oh well.


"We can't stay long though, I still have the appointment" I say and Luke smiles and nods.


We get out of the car and run up the steps to the door. I heard laughing and knocked loudly, they quieted down and the door opened revealing Michael.


"Why hello" he says letting us in.


"Oh you guys are here" Ashton says walking in.


"Is Emily here" Luke asks.


"Yea, she's in the living room with Leigh" Ashton responds and we walk in to the living room.


Sitting there was a girl with dirty blonde hair and she was really pretty.


"Hi I'm Emily" she said standing up and giving me a hug. She looked at Luke and shook his hand. Very mature girl.


"Ashton, how did you get her, she's to mature for you" I shout so Ashton can here me from the kitchen.


"Because I'm awesome" he shouts back making all of us laugh.


"At what" Emily says smirking.


"You know" he says poking his head in the room and Emily widens her eyes. She looks down and blushes.


"Okay T.M.I" Leigh shouts covering her ears playfully.


Suddenly i feel a hand on my shoulder and jump.


"Chill it's just me" Calum says with a goofy smile on his face.


"Hi Cal" I say messing up his hair and he crosses his arms and pouts.


"Your mean" he says and I stick my tongue out at him.


"Li" Luke says running into the room.


"Yes" I say.


"I want to stay longer, but we gotta go or were gonna be late" he says playing with the keys in his hands.


"Where are you guys going" Emily asks.


"The doctors" I sigh.


"Oh are you okay" she asks. The room goes silent for a minute and she just looks confused. "I'm sorry, was that a bad thing to ask".


"Shes pregnant"


"ASH!!!!" Luke shouts and we all laugh.


"Oh... Sorry" she giggles a little.


"It's okay, we just don't want to many people knowing" I sigh and she nods.


"Well we gotta go" Luke says as we walk through the house and to the car.


I sigh as I sit down in the car. I start playing with my fingers and tap on the window impatiently.


We finally make it to the office and Luke checks in for me. He sits down and puts his arm around me. He frowns at my nervous expression.


"Are you okay" he sighs.


"I'm scared" I whisper.


"You won't have to be, and if you are I'll always be here" He says and plants a kiss on my lips.


The door opens and two girls about our age walk in. Wait is that Drea? Who's the other girl.


I turn to Luke and he looks just as shocked as I am.


I stand up and walk over to her.


"What are you doing here. I thought you moved away a month ago" I ask.


"I was visiting my sister" she points to a girl in crunches.


"Oh, and your a bitch by the way" I say before walking away.


Drea walks over to her sister and whispers something in her ear. The girl comes over to me and sits.


"Hey, my sister said she's sorry for everything" she says sympathetically.


"Yea" I mumble.


"She probably lying though" she laughs. "She is a bitch, nobody likes her" she smirks and I laugh a little.


"You're so nice, how are you related to that" I joke and she giggles.


"Well I'm not, I'm kinda adopted" she sighs.


"Oh" I say. "Well, you wanna come to Starbucks with me later" I ask and she smiles.


"I'd love too" she exclaims. "I'm Zoe by the way".


"Liana" a nurse shouts.


"Well I gotta go, oh and I'm Liana" I say as me and Luke stand up and walk to the room they guide us into.


"So you could just lay down and the doctor will be right with you" the nurse says and walks out of the room.


"Doctors offices creep me out" Luke laughs. "When i was little I slapped the doctor in the face when I got a shot" He adds and we both burst into laughter.


"Oh my god why?!?" I say still laughing.


"It hurt" he playfully rolls his eyes and a doctor walks in.


"Hi Liana, are you ready" she says and I nod. "So I'm gonna need you to pull up your shirt" she adds and I do as told.


She squirts a really cold jelly like thing on my stomach and I flinch. Luke chuckles at my reaction.


"It might be a little cold" little to late doc.


She moves the monitor around on my stomach and looks at the screen.


"Okay so you are about almost a month along and, um I don't see anything wrong" she says and lifts the monitor up.


"How big is it" I ask and Luke laughs a little. "Luke" I say sternly.


"What that was a funny question" he whines.


"Well right now it's the size of a bean, so you won't start showing for another two months" she says giving me a napkin to wipe the jelly off my stomach.


"Well at least we graduate next month" Luke says after the doctor leaves the room.


"Yep" I say popping the 'p'.


~At Starbucks~


"Hey" Zoe says walking up to me.


"Hi" I smile.


We order our drinks and sit down in a booth once we get them.


"So, tell me about yourself" I say to her and she sighs.


"Well, I'm adopted, I don't really get shy around new people, I was bullied in elementary school because one of the biggest jerks in school always told people rude things about me to people, and I guess there isn't really much to say. I'm a very boring person" she giggles a little.


"Why did Drea come to visit you" I ask.


"Well, I kinda just had a kidney transplant and I haven't been the best" she sighs.


"Oh" I cringe. "Is everything going well though" I ask.


"Ya I've just been in a lot of pain really" she says taking another sip of her drink.


A car parks in front of the place and Calum walks out.


"Hey Liana, Luke told me to come pick y-" he looks at Zoe and they both look terrified. "Zoe" he chokes out.


"Calum" she says and tears well up in her eyes. She runs to the bathroom and I give him a look.


"What was that" I snap.


"I went to elementary school with her. I might've bullied her, a lot" he looks ashamed.


"So you're the one she was talking to me about" I say and shake my head.


"Can you bring her out here, I wanna apologize" he says and I just nod.


Calum out of all people doing something like that. I know Calum really well by now so I know he is sorry but still.


"Zoe" I say knocking on the door.


"It's him" she sobs.


"He wants me to bring you out there to tell you he's sorry" I say messing with the doorknob.


"No he doesn't, he just wants to annoy me again"


"Believe me, I know Calum really well and he's one of the sweetest people you'll meet. Please just come out" I say and I hear a door unlock.


"Okay fine" she scoffs and follows me out.


She sits across from Calum and next to me.


"I'm really sorry Zoe, for everything. Please forgive me" he begs and she just nods. She sniffles and grabs her drink.


"I gotta go, my sister wants me home" she says.


"Wait" I say grabbing her phone and putting me number in. "Text me". She nods and walks out.


"Um we kinda gotta go too. Every bodies going to Luke's house" Calum says and we walk out.
