World So Cold

~Christmas Special~


I woke up this morning in the comfort of my own bed, my own room, and in Luke's arms. I guess you can say everything is back to normal.


I turn to face him and see that he's still asleep. I place a small kiss on his forehead and his eyes flutter open.


"Merry Christmas baby" He whispers and a small smile appears on both of our faces.


"Merry Christmas Lukey" I say as he leans in to softly kiss my lips. "So what are we gonna do today" I ask sitting up.


"Well first we'll go downstairs and exchange gifts, then we'll go back to my house, and then later on to Michaels 'cause he's having a party" he says and I nod.


"So how about we exchange gifts now" I suggest pulling the covers off of me and getting out of bed.


"Sure" he says following me to the living room.


I grab my present for him and gently lay it next to him and he hands me mine.


"Wait, I get to open mine first" Luke says trying to be serious but then chuckles.


He starts to rip the rapping paper off like a child making us both laugh but as soon as he says what I got him he looks shocked.


"You got me a microphone" he says still shocked and I smile.


"Luke, you have an amazing voice, you sure know how to play the guitar. So I figured, why don't I just help my Lukey embrace his talent" I say and Luke's just chuckles.


He jumps up and hugs me tight.


"I love you" he says.


"Love you more" I respond resting my head on his shoulders.


"Not possible"


"Yes it is"


"How so"


"Just shut up and kiss me already" I laugh.


"Sure" he says and places his lips on mine. He pulls away quickly, probably anxious for me to open my present.


I rip the rapping paper of the small box and then open it to find a ring.


"Oh my god" i choke on my words and Luke smiles.


"It's a promise ring, how it works is that I have to make a promise to you, and once I put this ring on you, that promise has to be kept" Luke says but I'm to busy admiring the beauty of this ring.


"So what do you promise me Luke" I ask with a smile but he sighs.


"You see, anything that I could promise you is something that I've already planned on doing. But Liana, I promise that i will always try my best to make sure that you are happy, and even at some point when you hate my guts, that I will still love you" Luke says and I can't do anything but smile as he slides the ring on my finger.


"I love you so much" I say standing up and being pulled into a hug immediately.


"Merry Christmas guys" Angelica says skipping down the stairs and then running to hug me.


"Merry Christmas" me and Luke kind of say at the same time.


"Has mum come home yet" Angelica mumbles probably being a little sad that our mum is still not home yet.


"No, she'll be here soon hopefully" I assure and she nods. "Me and Luke gotta get going, see you later" I say giving her a side hug and running upstairs to change quickly and meeting Luke back downstairs.


"Wow" Luke chuckles. "No makeup today".


"It's Christmas, fuck it" I laugh and we quickly run outside and into his car.


We arrive at his house in a matter of seconds since it's just around the corner but since his car was at my house we decided to be stupid.


We walk inside and are greeted by his family.


"Merry Christmas guys" I say running up to hug each of them as luke does the same.


Once we all finish me and Luke run up to his room.


"So are we gonna get ready over here or-"


"Gosh Li calm down we still have all day until the party" I say sitting on my bed.


"I know, but you know how I am about this stuff" She says making me laugh. She sits on my lap and nuzzles her head into the crook of my neck.


"I have and idea" I say and she looks up at me.


"And what will that be" she giggles.


"We should take horrible Polaroids again" I suggest and her eyes light up.


I run to grab the camera and fill it up with film. Before you know it we are both sorting out which ones we want.


After what seemed like minutes we were already getting ready for Mikey's party. Thank god I brought the clothes I'm wearing to Luke's house before hand.


"Does your mum have a curling iron" I ask Luke.


"I dunno" he shrugs.


I run downstairs to his mom who is currently in the kitchen cooking something that smells really good right now.


"Liz" I say grabbing her attention.


"Yes sweetheart" she responds. Goddamn this women is so nice.


"Do have I curling iron I could use, Luke's being no help right now" I say and she chuckles.


"The top draw of the downstairs bathroom" she smiles.


"Thank you" I say quickly before running to the bathroom to grab the curling iron.


I run back up to Luke's room and begin working on my hair as Luke's just sits there looking so entertained.


As soon as I finish getting ready we are off to Michael's.

We walk inside with our fingers interlocked and are welcomed with a slightly crowded warm room.


Gabby runs up to me and gives me a hug.


"Hey I've missed you" she says laughing.


"I missed you too" I smile and run to the rest of my friends.


I saw all my closets friends sitting around in a circle and I join them sitting between Maria and Luke.


"Hey maybe we should all sing Christmas songs" Calum suggests and my face lights up.


"Yea Luke how about you sing something" I nudge him and his face turns all red. "You know you can" I say just embarrassing him more.


"Ohh Luke could sing, I gotta hear this" Ariel shouts making everybody laugh.


"He plays guitar too" I add and Luke's face goes even more red.


"Okay thats enough Li" Luke's says hiding his face.


"We should sing some songs though. I have a guitar upstairs" Michael says standing up and running upstairs.


"How many musical secrets can you guys possibly have" Gabby laughs and we all join her.


Michael comes back with three guitars. He gives one to Calum and one to Luke.


"Wait so you all can play" I ask.


"Well yea kinda" Calum responds. "What should we sing first" he adds.


"Let's sing silver bells" I say as it is my favorite Christmas song.


The boys start strumming and we all start singing.


"City side walks busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style. In the air there's a feeling of Christmas. Children laughing people passing, meeting smile after smile. And on every street corner you hear" we pause and all smile. "Silver bells, silver bells. It's Christmas time in the city. Ring-a-ling, hear them ring. Soon it will be Christmas Day" we all smile and continue to sing so many other songs.


It's soon time to leave so me and Luke say our goodbyes to everybody and then leave.


This really has been the best Christmas ever.
