World So Cold

About 20 minutes later we are still sitting into the silent waiting room. I see Liana's eyes start to flutter and they open and focus on me.


"What happened" she asked taking the mask off.


"You started going alittle crazy so they had to give you oxygen to calm you down" I say as we both get up to give the person at the desk the mask.


"Did you guys get any news on how she is" she asked concerned.


"No but we could go see her now" I say as she takes my hand and we walk to the room she's in.


We open the door and see Angelica laying on the bed. She looked dead, she lied there stone still with wires attached to her from head to toe.


We both took a seat in the room as Liana grabbed Angelica's hand.


"What happened, please wake up, please tell me what's going on" she cried out and rested her head on her hand. "Please don't leave me" she whimpered making me tear up.


I rubbed circles on her back slowly as she let go and sat up.


"What if she never wakes up" she says looking up at me through her watery eyes.


"Please stop thinking of the what ifs" I say resting my head in my hands.


"I'm sorry that I'm concerned, how could I not think of the what ifs" she fights back.


"Thinking the worst is not gonna help the situation" I say as tears fall from her eyes.


"Ya well it's not changing anything that's meant to happend, all I want to know is the reason this happened. I don't know what I would do if-"


"Stop it with the ifs" I say cutting her off.


"Sorry" she murmurs. "I just wish I knew what happened" she said making my eyes light up.


"I think I know why" I say as her facial expression doesn't change.


"Ya, I know it's Ashton, but why" she says as I give her Angelica's phone.


"Look through her texts" I say tapping the message icon and scrolling to the conversation with Ashton.


Her eyes were locked on the phone with tears welling up inside of them. Her eyes lost focus on on the phone and back to Angelica.


She walked outside of the room and to the front doors of the hospital as I ran after her.


"THAT LITTLE BITCH" she yelled loudly.


I slowly approached her and shook my head. I stared at her messy hair and tear soaked face and sighed.


"Let's go back to your house, your mum will give us a call if anything" I said wrapping my arm around her and walking to my car.


We got in and she immediately pulled down the mirror and examined her face.


"I'm a mess" she slightly laughed. I was happy to see a smile.


"Your beautiful" I say as her smile grows.


~Luke's house~


We sat on the floor of my room and talked about the randomist shit possible to get her mind off things.


"What is that" she said pointing to a white object hiding behind my nightstand. I didn't need to tell her because she already walked over to it and picked it up. "You have a Polaroid" she laughed.


"Yeah" I looked down in embarrassment.


"Well you know what people do with Polaroids right" she asked with a smirk. I motioned for her to go on.


"Take horrible pictures" she said making me laugh as she walked over to me.


We took one smiling, tongue, attemptive duck face, and I snook one of me kissing her cheek. We took some more random ones and layed them out on my bed as they dried.


~Liana's pov~


As soon as we could actually see the pictures we decided which ones we were keeping.


I took six of them and he took six so we had an even amount. I took the one of him kissing me though.


I gathered all the ones I'm keeping and put them in my phone case. Along with money that's been in their since like god knows.


"I have to go" I say getting a text from my mum.


"Aww nooo" Luke says holding me tight.


"My mum wants me home, I have to help her clean the bathroom anyways" I say remembering the horrifying sight.


"Okay, can I give you a ride atleast" he Sadi even though my house was around the block.


"You could walk with me" I say laughing and grabbing his arm.


We walk outside and interlock our fingers together as we slowly walked to my house.


He gave me a kiss goodbye before I stepped inside my house to find my mum running up and down the stairs with red paper towels.


"Need some help" I shout so she could hear.


"Please" she says as she doesn't stop moving.


I grab some pieces of paper and run upstairs to the bathroom and wipe the sink and bath tub out. Then I took the rug and brought it to the laundry room. I put it in the wash and headed to my room.


I started to tape the Polaroid pictures to my wall along with the rest of my pictures. I smiled.


I noticed how I still had the necklace on and took the charm in my hands and eyeballed it. It was so gorgeous and I knew this was never coming off.


I stared at the ceiling and thought today through, it was already 11:30 at night and I was really tired.


I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.
